Comment on When the Ball Touched the Ground

  1. Diego looking like an octopus climbing a building. This is so cute :))))
This story is just so wholesome and all their interactions feel normal, not forced. I love how this goes. The way you're describing their interactions, their thoughts, their insecurities, it's just so well planned. I like both Johnny realises he's holding onto pre-made opinions and Gyro just randomly chooses not to be beligerant anymore. It sounds a lot like them. And Diego's stubborness and self-entitlement is so nicely sprinkled with the good nature he was raised up with. It's a unique combination and I think you're making it work very well. I really love the way you write the characters.
George Joestar was an interesting plot pivot. I hated him when he appeared during the race in the manga, and you introduced him in your story as a unconsiderate bastard. I liked that. And what really made me emotional was Diego's description of Nicholas's accident. It was so sad and honestly, I would have hugged Johnny, too.
It was so clever how you portrayed Diego's version of 'charity'. You made his offer sound at first as if he was being generous, but turned it transactional when he said his conditions. I like how Gyro and Johnny saw right through it, it was such a cute moment! I'm really enjoying reading your story, it flows nicely. I barely realised how long this chapter actually is! I loved every moment of it! Thank you for sharing this with us!
