    Again, no way you have Leo find his father and kill him in the same year. Feels cruel, but also narratively weak.

      The last chapter of 5th year is Chapter 17 and between now and then a fair bit will happen. I'm not shy to kill off major characters of which Sirius is definitely one, that's the Thrones author in me where I've killed off my own OC's before, but I'm also not just keeping directly to canon. There will be branches here and there because of Leo's involvement.
