    Hey, when they are both immortal it’s not that bad given that Arya is basically a teen in terms of elf years. I think Eragon clearly states in canon that he can’t be with anyone else because he will literally outlive them. I can understand why it might be weird though.

      Arya's confirmed to be 'mature', as I recall. Elves mature between 70-80 and she's over 100 - meanwhile Eragon's 15-17 thru the entire series and a majority of the time his feelings are pretty clearly onesided.

      As it stands I'm planning on throwing Maria at Nasuada.

        From what I can recall it’s not that they were one sided, it’s that Arya put her duty above anything else. That and their ages, but like I said I’m pretty sure Eragon and Arya both realized he can’t really be with anyone else.
