    oh yeah, if John and Virgil had any doubts about her ability to take care of him, John would’ve, uh, *intervened* back in the pre-series days.

    it’s a double-edged sword, because having Di in his life does go a long way towards healing the scars, but it also means his anxiety about her personal safety is through the roof, even before children enter the equation…
