The age thing kinda got thrown out the window because magic, the Soul is how HP gets measured for humans/monsters because it's the culmination of their being, not limited by the state the body is in (and it simplifies the math while still getting the point across).
A cat and I (we're writing the Leporiphobia fic) made this thing where Chara's a Gaster Blaster and Frisk is a Hyper Goner. I forget what myth the Dreemurrs and the rest of the animal-themed monsters are from (I with they're called Malevolents??? And they might be Irish folklore??? They're shapeshifters, basically, but without the shapeshifting)
The date isn't set in stone, just vaguely around the time of publishing for the sake of references and progress.

Now that I think about it... in that one time Frisk had an accident in the main series, in pants, Asriel seems to know exactly what to do, I wonder why. Does he has experience? like how many time have Frisk had an accident before? ...or maybe even Chara all the way back before their deaths? ...or actually that could just be basic using fire to clean liquid thing Toriel probably taught him, but now I want to know.
So does that mean newborn baby would have the full average HP? Like I think newly created/born monsters and humans would have a new and weak soul too or does that just come out like that... or maybe the soul just grown fully way before the physical age?
Ooh, Gaster Blaster and Hyper Goner huh... will Chara fire a laser beam one day? ...wait what do Hyper Goner do again? Frisk do you want to be Kirby?
The Dreemurrs are a chaotic, divided, and generally broken family; the skele-bros are themselves; and Undyne is a walking wrecking ball married to a scientist. Everyone got used to messes and broken stuff long before meeting Frisk.
Not really, babies are still developing post-birth. I've left plenty of little hints about Frisk's og homelife, so she had to mature and develop at a much faster rate than what's normal or healthy, plus being ahead of the curb through exposure to and merging with magic, her own issues are the main thing holding her back. Having said that, I'll be the first to admit the out-of-universe reason for that is to make the HP calculations simpler so I don't end up trying to come back and edit everything because I messed something up, this way I can build off of this stuff easier than I would trying to guesstimate the normal HP range of a child her age and percentage of that she actually has.
