      1. Huzzah! I was going to say that I personally am a big fan of Unholy Dancers, though in this context I was going to mention its interpretation of Rocky: namely, that he purposefully plays up his eccentricities as a shield, **but also as a mask.**

In conjunction with the above comment on wanting to see a “softer,” side of Rocky, if anything could get him to lower them and act more seriously, it would be babysitting the younger siblings of the *extremely* scary lady. One, because, kids, but two because he doesn’t want to get his hide tanned for being a “bad influence.”

Come to think of it, considering the likely difficulty in communicating (unless Rocky and Calvin learned Gaelic growing up), him playing the violin/fiddle would probably be the best way to keep them entertained.

But ya, anyway, obviously don’t feel obliged to if it’s not how you envision Rocky, but I think he might really enjoy playing for (relatively) innocent children and without all the pressures he typically has, and without having to put on a character.

        1. Haha I do have a chapter where Rocky will get to help look after or at least hang around Paloma's three younger siblings, at least when they are learning and can understand a little more English and don't have to rely on Irish to communicate with Nina
Paloma just wouldn't really keep her younger brother around him because he's small, young and very impressionable. She's heard a few too many horror stories of Rocky and Freckle's childhood from him, Calvin and Nina so she doesn't really think leaving a 5 year old alone with someone who thinks lighting a pig farm on fire and dragging his cousin along to do it for nearly getting him crushed with a train all over a bunch of cheap and tasteless hooch without supervision is a great idea.
