    I can understand why he wouldn't be liked or wanted, but as a medical professional, she should understand that complete isolation can make a person lash out and do foolish stuff. Besides, for all she claims to "think of him like a friend" it's not like she or the others actually seek to spend time with him outside of work, so Garak isn't the only one isolated. Though I wouldn't be shocked if his friendship with Garak is why the others do start attempting dating him occasionally, in hopes of keeping him from the evil Cardassian
