I really appreciate how well all of the dialogue scans to the dialogue in the movie. I can hear every single line in their voices. The violence, too, matches so well to how nuts that last act of the movie gets and how ominous that cut to the exterior of the house is... that empty space in the scene. This is fucking brutal to read, which I love, and the reversal at the end feels so... true, I guess, to the rest of the story, and the way Tommy can never quite get the upper hand. Never quite gets what he wants or finds satisfaction, even when he appears to be in complete control of the situation. I like this fic a lot.
Thank you so much, I really appreciate the comment! I do recall kind of surprising myself that I had it in me to write something so doom-y and gloom-y, so to know it was as brutal to read as it was to write is really good. :P
