    I guess it's inevitable that different people will take different things from a story, but I can honestly say this one was not written with 'whump' in mind (hence not even tagged as such). It is a journey of emotional discovery more than anything else, mainly for Killian and Henry, but others too... To answer the question of how they could change if thrown into such terrible circumstances... I find people tend to change for the better :)
