  1. "He always huffs and reminds her she should be remembering her passwords herself, but she’s a god. She has so many more important things to do than remembering passwords all the time."
Eating pancakes, for one. Enjoying fresh veggies, as well, and I suppose there's also the whole "running a school" thing, but pancakes are the most important.

"It’s a fifty-fifty shot on if the day is saved by the power of love, and half of those involve literal Love Magic, and they’re all so, so stupid. Anyone with the slightest hint of magical ability could tell them it doesn’t work that way."
Honestly, now I want to see one of these cheesy movies, because that sounds like the best kind of hilariously stupid.

"Still. Whatever’s in Frey’s pocket isn’t important, really. What’s important is that she’s brought in a bushel of fresh turnips ready for pickling and a story request."
I'm very interested in finding out what this mysterious object is, and how exactly it relates to the Guardians. Plus, I like the excellent dramatic timing of Venti wondering about a practical side to Frey's mysterious project, followed by the next scene starting with the mention of what might be exactly that.

Also! Amber's story is delightfully bittersweet, and I love it. It's such a happy tale, right up to the tragic end, with what happened to her parents, then... well, you know. The plague being described as a wasting sickness makes it so much worse, because when she found out that Venti was slowly dying, that's probably the first thing she thought of.

"One of them needs to be."
This one line hurts so, so much; simple yet so very impactful.

"Six hours later, announced by the most obnoxious ringtone known to man, Venti gets a call from the hospital."
This could be very good, very bad, or (most likely) both.

Anticipation aside, your end notes are quite funny. I don't have food, so have One (1) Butterfly instead.

    Kudos!!
