well, i was meaning part one of the series. I didn't realize these two stories were connected until after I read the second one. And once i knew that the setting was star wars, an easy first guess was ground zero of the Excision, on Mandalore. After all, a totally destroyed surface, with large amounts of destroyed metal and burned bones, with underground water? I've been reading so much with Jaster Mereel in it, that was the first place i went.
Yes, they are connected. In fact, the second one is supposed to be only a side story... And I forgot to indicate that fact on the summary. It's been rectified, though! I admit, I was about to ask why people could so easily guess where the company ended up. And then I read further and you already explained it... Now I think I am in the company of people who have read lots of works revolving round the impacts of the Excision... which is awesome and makes me feel so excited and... yaim'la, for lack of a better word!
