Comment on Don’t Shoot Me with One of Your Fancy Rifles

  1. Black and white picture of Willie Loman from Death of a Salesman, sat with one elbow on a table. He is resting his face on his hand and looks exhausted.

I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Just out of curiosity, who would you consider to be the main character? Jude or the demon? Thanks so much for reading!

    1. Hi! In fact I was so sucked in your story from the very first words, that I was thinking: "I must write a review as soon as possible!", so I was first refering to Jude (love this first name btw). His roughness and apparent coldness just suggest that he has been rejected and lonely for a long time. But, as I continue to devour your chapters in a row, I now consider the demon as a main character too (and dying to read the chapter when he will be given a real name!). They are both so moving, and I can't wait to see them trust and take care of each other, develop an intimate relationship and heal slowly. You really have some striking sentences (especially the scene with Jude's mother: "words that hurt the most doesn't mean they're true"). Woah, I couldn't help to feel deeply moved. I want to read the nex chapter so much! Thanks again for your amazing words :) (and sorry for any errors, English is not my mother tongue)

Hi! I'm so glad you enjoyed it so much, it's so lovely to hear from you! (I love the name Jude too, it's a classic :)) "His roughness and apparent coldness just suggest that he has been rejected and lonely for a long time." - I agree with your assessment of him entirely! Well said. Haha yes readers seem pretty keen for that to happen...I'll get round to it sometime soon... ;) Aww I hope I don't disappoint if the ending's a little more, shall we say turbulent? Not as nice as what you described? Oh dear, I'm a terrible person :/ I haven't finalised what I want to do for the ending so I guess we'll see xD Thank you so much for all your kind words (which are in near perfect English, if you hadn't of said, I wouldn't have noticed!) it makes me very happy!

        1. Aaaaaah, the fluffy parts always taste better when you've got the right dose of hurt and angst before! But I still secretely hope for a happy ending (yes, I'm a little bit of a masochist, but a true romantic to the core ^^). And just a few questions, if it's not spoiler, do demons have super power? And special body parts (like tails...)? I like to imagine them when reading. And thanks for your answer, it makes me smile all the day!

Oh I entirely agree about angst and fluff! I'm so mean to my characters but I love them really :P Awwh welllll.. we'll see.....
Hmm good question, not a spoiler, no. The demon looks different (grey skin, angular looking, etc.) and he's like HUGE, super tall and strong because of all the press-ups he does *fans myself* He doesn't have any special body parts or super powers, but I've always considered him to be much faster and super strong. His actions in the next chapter hint a little at the supernatural, I think.. :D Aww, your lovely comments make me smile too! :*
