Comment on Alternate Ruth fanfic [BEING REWRITTEN]

    I wonder how FBI (Temporal Phenomena Department of course) would react if they knew that this was possible (by this I mean people turning into alternates). Would they go more SCP foundation route (mostly research, and termination only when needed) or GOC (research the minimum needed to try and terminate the threat). Sorry that this is kinda off topic but this fic just made me spin this idea in my head.

        Yeah that would be the most possible outcome, but that's also brings into question how paranoid would they get if it happened.?Would they stumble upon alternate sleeper agent thing sooner.? I am so sorry for kinda taking away from Ruth and stuff. But the implications on the wider scale intrigue me.

          Oh I think they would be super paranoid knowing, or rather, unknowing when and who could wind up being an alternate.

          I know it’s kinda left unsaid but Ruth is intended to have *become* alternate rather than being one from the start. I might have uhh used a small inside joke between a mutual that when an alt. somehow consumed you yourself become one.
          I kinda twisted that idea into the concept that if alt. matter/goop/substance gets into one’s body, especially bloodstream, it metamorphoses them.

          As for the wider scale implications. I’m clueless. I just wanted to put Ruth and Thatcher into alternate situations TwT

            I know that Ruth became an alternate. By sleeper agents i mean Adam and other missing children.
            Also I ... Uh have a somewhat similar thing in my au (two years in progress, will get there someday), to your concept. It's cool that similar ideas can come to people independentily.
