    yes yes!!! I'm listening to the Crane Wives a lot while writing it now and I'm making him a crane wives fan. I think Im gonna make him less outwardly angry and more inwardly angry or something? We'll see how it goes. I made a list of everything I'm changing from the original if you want to see it.

          Things I changed from the old version:
          1. Ranboo’s anger is different. I’m not quite sure how, but it is. I think I made him less outwardly angry and more inwardly angry…? I don’t know, but whatever I did made sense to me.
          2. When the previous author wrote this, they said they were projecting all of their teen angst onto Ranboo. I’m going to keep with the spirit of the story and follow suit, which, um… I’m giving him imposter syndrome.
          3. This is just different from the first time I tried to rewrite this– Ranboo’s pronouns will be he/him to make it easier for everyone who’s first language isn’t English :).
          4. I’m getting rid of the prophetic dreams/magic and making it just nightmares.
          5. Ranboo is probably neurodivergent now. I said I’m projecting my teen angst.
          6. He’s a Crane Wives fan now. It’s canon.
          7. He got insomnia.
          8. I made Phil a little less perfect. Sure, he’s supposed to be like the finally perfect foster parent, but he’s still as human as everyone else.

            Would you believe me if i said all of these were perfect changes? I love the original but what i love even MORE is that you're projecting your own teen angst onto it, making it more organic, more geniune!! I cant wait to see how you make this work. I really needed some new stuff to read and this just might be perfect for that😌✨ Well, i'll go to school in about half an hour so i might not be able to read the first chapter (hence the different time zones and school rules), but i'll deffinetly do read it once im back!!!!
