“I don’t think the Princess Alliance is going to forget the leader of the Horde got toasted in an explosion right before they evacuated. If they’ve got any tactical prowess at all, they’ll be hitting us with all they got. We need to prevent that. So, Kyle,” and she turned to look at him with the selfsame clever smirk. “You’re going to offer them peace.”
“Peace?” Lonnie repeated incredulously.
“Yes. Peace. I’m not a moron, and I know we’ll likely not achieve it, but it’ll stay their hand.” She looked back at Kyle. “Offer them a conference with the objective of peace in the Whispering Woods at their earliest convenience, location and other details to be determined afterwards.”
OK, but maybe you shouldn’t have told Kyle all of that? He’s not that great of a liar…
“Catra. So glad you could join us.”
Catra snapped out of her reverie. She hadn’t been paying attention when she stumbled into her office, and was suddenly standing face to face with the beastly Grizzlor and Callix, who rose from his chair to approach and loom over her.
That’s not good.
“You were hunting traitors, Octavia?” Cobalt prompted, tenting his fingers.
“Of course! We got started right after news of Hordak’s death reached us. Bloody work, but, hreh!” and Octavia hoisted up the decapitated head of Leech into view, still dripping with blood. The monstrosity’s horrid expression was slack, as if caught asleep. “All’s well that ends well!”
Catra could only stare.
Fuck?
Well, that’s one way to take out your opposition’s support.
“Let me be the first to pledge my fealty to you, Lord Catra, Commander of Etheria’s Horde.”
