I'm so happy you like it so far! (also I'm just seeing your comments so I apologize for the barrage of notifications as I will be replying to each of them HAHAHA)
But yes I really wanted the readers to see things from Julian's POV, like how he deals with things on a daily basis. Logan being abusive is something he's used to by now, so we just sort of become witnesses to how he deals with the maltreatment. I love to add some contrast in each chapter, like how some parts will focus on the darker side of his life with Logan, while the scenes at the cafe are much lighter and comforting.
