    "A blonde woman stands before her, crystal blue eyes piercing her own steely gray ones like the ice that has just formed around the frozen snow." 𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘧𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘪𝘯 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 (wait, they literally fall!!)
    Starting with the anime references, I think it's hilarious that Mikasa is rude to Levi, and not only does her missing the peaceful life she had with her family fit a lot with this context, but also her self-affirmations about her strength, which is something I find very interesting because, for me, it is her defense mechanism to control herself in difficult situations, at the same time as it is a way of creating confidence based on the expectations that others place on her. And Annie's entrance? Charming and deadly, just like her✨ I actually didn't expect her to be the sniper, but it's a compliment to her skills. The ending makes me think they will have a moment of tension and action alone.

      Yes Mikasa having no respect for Levi is due to the fact that she did not grow up with him, so she doesn't have that natural respect that comes between family members. Also, even though she knows his relation to her, she still can't really bring herself to care enough. I like to think that Mikasa took Eren's "Suicidal Maniac" attributes in this fic lolll but at the same time you're fully right with her self-affirmations because in the end, that's what makes Mikasa herself.

      Annie being a sniper is major to the plot, so we'll see more of that!

        Ok so I know this isn’t my comment but your note of “Annie being a sniper is important” made me squeal in delight and hoping hard for a Sasha vs Annie shout out (seeing Sasha is an expert marksman in SnK)
