  1. Just a fair warning, while there will never be another purely introspection-based chapter again I am generally pretty introspection-heavy. There might be a couple of hundred words cross-examining every feeling in between two lines of dialogue at points, albeit I'm way better about that than I used to be. But you are right about the purpose of this chapter and why it's all spent in Clover's head, and it's why the beginning of the next chapter is a little heavy on it even if actual character interactions are going on at the same time since that's setting up another character's (pretty obvious who) baseline a little informing how she will make decisions and interact going forward.
