  1. I also noticed a wee little detail about that amulet Solumnes had: If Nero never met him in the original timeline, most likely he died in a second assassination by Sanctus' hand. Could it be... that Nero's intentional crying his head off at the mere sight of Sanctus derailed his original plan, allowing the old man to survive even longer? Man, talk about a butterfly effect!

Still, I am a bit suspicious why Solumnes wanted to spend time with Nero like that. I can only speculate, so I'm looking forward to the next chapter for some answers 😁

    1. This is a very interesting theory. It's cool that you noticed such a small detail! I was counting on it x)

In canon, however, Sanctus poisoned Solemnis for many years. And Solemnis died before Vergil came to Sanctus (which happened before Nero was actually born). I think it was literally a few days between the death and the meeting.

I suspect that Nero was already conceived by that time (from a few days to a week, but not longer than a month, because of the smell).
(My only concession is that Sanctus is not retired. Not then, not now)

I won't reveal my timing theory on this yet because it's pretty important to the plot (a big butterfly effect, really), but it's cool that you noticed this little detail.

And yes! More interaction with Solemnis in the next chapters!! ^_^

P.S. Sorry for such stuffy details, but I really dig deep into the canon when I do all these things. I'm interested in fitting the new rules into the canon. I'm a nerd huh
