The problem is, they might assume he wasn't under the spell until it was too late. Like they were obviously distracted sailing through the area.
    Then again, Odysseus probably had people specifically watching for people who looked like they were gonna throw themselves overboard.

      I'm just memeing about the Hermes flirting vibes tbh. Several animatics certainly have him acting in a suggestive or provactive fashion in the songs (Usually 'Wouldn't You Like') and some fan-fictions also lean into the angle of him being seductive and romantically interested in Odysseus during or following those songs. So it's really up to interpretations and your humor level.

      Yeah so I think Odysseus would have Polites back with his crew commands but this solution is very fun too and I'm glad your motivation's returned!
