Hehe, yes, John and I have a bit of a difficult history, which made this so interesting to write (and just generally write from his perspective).
Sam and the reader are big time the two people running this show. I don't think power-dynamic-wise it would have worked differently (VC is to thank for that, I was going in a more angst-y direction and she pulled me back from the ledge :D). And yeah, Dean's really digging into his submissive side, which I always love for him, cause he's such a caretaker usually. It's nice to see him be able to shed some of that.
What is John thinking? Well... you'll see in the next two chapters :D so I don't want to spoil too much. Let's just say that he's gonna be very... John. :D
