Oh, this is good! There are very few fics with Time Lords in Pete's Universe, and it's a pleasure to find one that's well written and has me on the edge of my seat. Can't wait for the next chapter (but don't rush on my account: I don't mind waiting when it's a good chapter)!
Thank you so much! I’m definitely curious about that. I read a comment somewhere saying that the Doctor and maybe even Time Lords weren’t in Pete’s world because, if he was, Ten would never had had to deal with the Cybermen. That doesn’t make sense to me, as parallel universes are a bit like canon divergent AUs. An event alters and ripples through time. I find it very difficult to believe that an ancient and very influential species like the Time Lords just didn’t exist at all without SOMETHING taking their place (nature abhors vacuum, as they say), so I imagine they were there. That’s a pretty big divergent to have so many similarities otherwise. So then the question becomes the Doctor, and that’s were the comment I mention makes some sense, so I started paying with the idea of why he wouldn’t be there and that’s where I came to the Pete’s World’s Doctor’s story that you’ll see. So far, I’ve really enjoyed it 😊
The next chapter is written (loooot of banter with the Master 🥲), but I like to be ahead before I post. I realized I needed a new piece to the puzzle that hadn’t been mapped out yet, so this could be a slow going chapter as I find my way through or everything could fall into place. Who know? Lol
