Is his soulmate in a hospital somewhere as a vegetable? Just a mysterious Jane Doe who no one in wherever she ended up knows so she's just there, being in a coma. If they live somewhere near the boarder from one country into another it's possible that she somehow ended up in a completely different country. It's interesting that this story is in the stories about humans who either become one of the skelebros, or soulmates with one of the skelebros. Kinda of an outlier by the looks of the summary. Is Shapeshifter going to pretend to be a child from Merise? That'd be twisted.
