Comment on Code: Sissi

  1. This was fantastic and I have to say that I liked how Sissi pushing Ulrich’s boundaries was brought up and made her see how she acted entitled. I have to say that the diary being mentioned but not the fake letter was a surprise but in retrospect wasn’t. The diary theft is a more personal attack on Ulrich and Yumi's response to the letter was to tell Ulrich to focus on the strength of their friendship, which Sissi could take as him confessing and her turning him down. It's better she didn't have such a notion to focus on as to prevent her from examining herself.

Meanwhile I loved how you acknowledged how both Ulrich and Yumi were equally bad with their back and forth. I've noticed that despite Yumi admitting that they were both bad at it, members of the FANDOM just blame it all on Ulrich.

    1. Yeah, I was really trying to balance out the good and the bad from Sissi, hence Jeremie telling everyone they needed to make a balanced judgement on Sissi joining them. With Sissi in the gang, Ulrich and Yumi are pretty much forced to confront their issues head on. In addition to pushing the boundaries, Sissi's bullying of Aelita and finding out about it's consequences are what really proved her turning point. In canon, Yumi and Ulrich pretty much just went back and forth the whole series because there was no breaking point for them to decide on. William was no longer a problem since he got possessed (twice) and Sissi never got in too close. But with a second girl who lives Ulrich, they don't have a choice.

      1. You know with Sissi in the group, I wonder if Yumi will still decide to close the door with Ulrich.

Meanwhile I forgot to ask earlier but why did Aelita go to class with Yumi? She's in the same grade with the boys.

        1. We'll see.

I never paid attention to that detail on the show. Fixed, thanks for pointing it out.
