Comment on And then there were Three - Imperium Oneshots

  1. I feel so bad for Barthel.

I believe that Kaiser would be willing to live as strictly as Gunther wished. I also believe Gunther would be willing to live quite strictly if it meant getting revenge on Aichner. They would make sure to keep up the act backstage, so word got back to Vinci. Let Vinci reach out since he still has had little success in NXT. Gunther explains things are different now, arguably how they should have always been. There is a meeting or two. Vinci never gets to speak with Kaiser alone, but he watches Gunther's interactions with Kaiser. He is more curt, less courteous. Gunther and Vinci agree for Vincinto return.

It is just this side of hell for Vinci. Kaiser has the comfort of knowing it is temporary, but he also has little comforts. Gunther pets his hair absent-mindedly or slips him a piece of chocolate. For Kaiser, these treats are necessary because on his worst day, Gunther is still kinder than Bernard on his best day.

They are up with the sun for training, and Gunther is strict during it. He heavily polices their diets. He isn't restrictive to the point of starvation or anything, but their portions are controlled and the meals are eaten for nutrition rather than pleasure. They have precise schedules and assigned chores. It's what Vinci expected from Imperium the first time, but he is not happy to get it now. Gunther barks orders at all hours. There is no idle conversation or time for leisure.

Kaiser is actually fairly content during everything, except the punishments. Those aren't supposed to be enjoyable, though. He has structure, so his anxiety flares up less. There could be a good, normal Roman who is in on it. He pulled Gunther aside to check on Kaiser once because the abusive part of the Bloodline is just storyline, and he wants to make sure Kaiser is okay. When he hears what is actually going on, Roman is all in because Seth turning was real and so is that pain. When Gunther thinks Kaiser needs a break, he 'loans' Kaiser to Roman, who spends that time relaxing with the Bloodline.

Things go further. Vinci is thoroughly miserable. Kaiser enjoys turning on him. It's cathartic.
