    Yeah so this HURT. I do love to have these bits of moments where characters get to open up if only so slightly, and I'm just so fond of that "what-if" convo, it's still confusing and weird for Ellie to have parents and still she wants to badly for them to care for her, and to seek answers that she probably wondered all he short life.

    I'm so invested in this fic lol also Hispanic Joel is something I don't see often so I'm looking forward to that too, I guess! I wonder if he would ever try to teach Ellie how to speak Spanish 👀 can't wait for more thanks for sharing

      SORRY LMAO. I do love those too, and there'll be lots more in the future. It really is and she's trying so so hard, but she's also struggling to find her place and AUGH I LOVE HER.
