Your opinion is understandable. And a opinionated one for all is something that you don't see all that often. Gives you an extra character to work with, and an extra friend for midoriya. It also allows you to make this version of one for all your own instead of just midoriya getting punch things good. And as for a disease you have a couple of choices. Something simple like an autoimmune disease will probably do the trick. Something a little weirder could be that he's allergic to one for all. Quirks are genetic after all and him getting something his body wasn't used to means some sort of reaction is not out of the question. Or you can go for a a bit of crack. He was lactose intolerance but he loved Dairy so much he poisoned himself with ice cream. He just didn't want to tell anybody that. He got all the STDs from sleeping with a lot of people, and he's embarrassed and doesn't want to tell anyone that. Him becoming an alcoholic and Wrecking his liver is also a choice. You can have him be an anti-vaxxer and die from something preventable. You've got several options. On a slightly tangential note, if midoriya is going to get his predecessors powers, is telekinesis is a pretty good cover for most of them. Super strength, gear shift, and fa gin all can be hand waved away as augmenting his strength by reinforcing and moving himself or others with his telekinesis. Float can be explained as he's grabbing himself by the Scruff of the neck and holding himself at arm's length. Danger sense could be something as simple telekinetic whiskers. Or he simply doesn't bring it up because there's no visible effect with that power. black Whip and fog are the only ones that he would have some issues with. I wonder if he could actually telekinetically reinforce himself though. It would reduce any ranged options because he would have to either give up some or all of his instances of telekinesis to do so probably, but it would make him tougher and stronger and probably able to wield more of one for all. Which would probably tone down on the bone breaking count. If not, super powered telekinesis is still super powered telekinesis.
Yea, I plan to make OFA like a dog. You can't understand exactly what it's trying to tell you, but you know what it's feeling and how it's behaving. Maybe I'll make it so Hikage had an autoimmune disease that makes his immune system really sensitive and hyperagressive, and OFA being displeased with him makes his body slowly start killing him while trying to get rid of OFA. I was planning on explaining away OFA as his second quirk but an expression of something from his family members (I'm not gonna say more on this because I don't wanna spoil it). Danger Sense is gonna have a very interesting interaction with the sensory ability he already has (something I'll explore a bit more next chapter), so I'm looking forward to him getting OFA (I'll make him get the quirks of the past users quite a bit earlier, not instantly but one by one) And about the "reinforcing himself using his Telekinesis", I have something in my chapter 3 drafts that answers that question, so stay tuned!
