    I'm glad you think this is an accurate take on how elderly Dimileth might play out. They are still as deeply in love as they've ever been, but there were inevitably some changes and adjustments they've had to make as they've aged for the sake of ease and comfort. Dimitri's done a lot of healing over the long decades since the war ended, but he was of course never 'cured.' I imagine the gradual loss of independence and the realization that he couldn't be effective in his work anymore had to hit him quite hard. 😢

    But Byleth will always be there for him, just as he's there for her. Their devotion to each other is so beautiful, but it's also what makes this so painful. 😭
