    ❤️❤️❤️ I don't know what it is, but I saw your comment and immediately started writing again, even though I wasn't actually intending to do more with this, so, uhhhh... have a conversation? That I hopefully will not expand into another chapter/fic?

     

    "Alphas and omegas tend to significantly produce and instinctively react to pheromones."

    "Okay," Barry said, just to see if he could get Thawne to pinch the bridge of his nose and sigh again, or at the very least disrupt the bland recital of facts a little. He knew Thawne could do interesting lectures, he'd watched so many youtube recordings of Dr. Wells making the most impenetrable subjects entertaining, if not entirely accessible for the average viewer. Was he doing it on purpose?

    "Beta pheromones have been described as comparatively 'bland', or, alternatively, 'soothing' by both alpha and omega individuals–"

    "Sounds rude and dismissive," Barry said, frowning and Thawne waved a hand.

    "It is, but hush, I'm trying to give you a very basic overview of the current cultural opinion – future knowledge and norms won't help you."

    "So you're saying there's more research in the future—"

    "There's better research," Thawne corrected. "Now: alphas tend to find omega scents attractive, and vice versa. Alphas will sometimes feel threatened when they scent another alpha during a stressful situation, and react violently – yes, that is another piece of to be outdated bullshit, you don't need to tell me, Barry, believe me, I know."

    "How does the patriarchy still win when there are six damn sexes?" Barry muttered. Thawne did pinch the bridge of his nose and sigh then, and that just made Barry all the more annoyed that he was too outraged to appreciate it.
