Comment on Arsonist's Lullabye

  1. Ryan and Teeter are definitely going to make Rip and John regret their actions big time (and John's going to really annoyed when he finds out that Rip didn't tell him about the brands)

I didn't even think of Beth refusing to marry Rip until he fixed things, but I think I'm going to have to do it because it's such a great idea! Thank you so much!!!

    1. I was inspired by Beth and Kayce. They are loyal to their father but not blindly loyal. They love John but won't just follow orders without thinking for themselves and their own happiness.

Kayce didn't want to lose his wife and son but found balance in the end to preserve the Yellowstone and keep his family together.

Beth knew the ranch was an Alamo but she kept it founding ways to earn it a profit with the horse shows and beef marketing but made it clear she was done with the ranch after his death.

Rip on the other hand just firing Rook and Teeter with out telling John about their brands, is a perfect example of blind loyalty. They were both embarrassed when Teeter showed hers. Rip himself is branded but didn't stand up for his fellow branded workers.

I can imagine Beth telling Rip,

"I get your loyal to my father because he gave you a chance and I am happy you came into my life but you CAN'T BE A F**KING SHEEP, YOU CAN'T JUST FOLLOW ORDERS WITH KNOWING WHEN TO QUESTION THEM, THAT IS NOT THE MAKING OF A GOOD LEADER, I AM LOYAL TO MY DAD BUT I AM NOT A SHEEP, HE CAN BE STUBBORN, BUT I ALWAYS FIND WAYS TO WORK WITH IT OR THROW COMMON SENSE AT HIM, YOU JUST THREW ROOK, THE ONLY FRIEND I HAD IN FOREVER TO THE WOLVES. SHE WORE THE BRAND LIKE YOU AND YOU DIDN'T FIGHT FOR HER OR TEETER. YOU JUST BUCKLED AND WERE A GOOD BLIND 🐑. RIP I LOVE YOU AND WANT TO BE WITH YOU BUT UNTIL YOU MAKE THINGS RIGHT WITH ROOK I CAN'T GO THROUGH MARRYING A MAN WHO SO BLIND HE WON'T FIGHT FOR ME.
