    Daemon Blackfyre SIs are so rare so it deffo looks like I've found a niche to exploit :)

    I mean the historical text straight up calls Daemon King at the start lel so it's not a question on if there's going to be a rebellion but when :)

    Ah yeah, it definitely is giving Henry VI being deposed by Edward IV vibes. Still though, whether it's a usurpation or not is written by whoever wins lel. History is written by the victors. Plus Daemon is Daena's son/eldest grandson of Aegon III and arguably the eldest son of Aegon IV too so would he not be rightful king twice over :)

    I definitely agree here. While I'm a tad sympathetic to Viserys II after he was the one who kept the realm afloat for his brother's brooding, Daeron's wars, and Baelor's.... whatever, Daena still got a raw deal. Even if objectively Daena at that point would likely have been a so-so ruler compared to the best Hand Westeros ever saw, her birthright was still stolen from her and the cousin she blamed for leaving her to languish and that failed to save her brother (Aemon) now stood to benefit with his (in her mind) bastard son poised to rule and steal everything from her.

    So yeah it's exceedingly biased, nuanced, everyone has their own story to tell. Their own resentments.

    And I just cannot with the Dorne stans lmao. They obsessively back Daeron II and are all 'feminist' and then forget that Daeron II, even if he is actually Aegon IV's son and not Aemon the Dragonknights', is still literally the embodiment of the male-only claim vs Daemon's claim through Daena. Dorne doesn't even live up to their own ideals lmao, they disinherited Myriah when she married Daeron even though she is the rightful Princess of Dorne as the eldest child. Not to mention how the Dornish swore oaths of loyalty to Daeron at the Submission of Sunspear and then broke them, rebelled, and killed him under a sacred truce banner, it's an act that is as infamous and despised as the Red Wedding. Truly the mental gymnastics to justify all this is astounding.

    Daena got a very shitty deal and ITTL Daemon will be the crystallisation of her vengeance. Stay tuned to see how it all proceeds!
