    I love the mutual pining trope and, in my opinion, your execution takes the cake.
    8 years of marriage and they haven't found the time to talk and unpack all those FEELINGS. Ed is right, for people who got labeled ‘genius’, they are very stupid.
    The angst was delicious. I loved how you examined the same events, the assassination and Roy's small celebration, from both perspectives, it added so much depth to the angst.
    Roy's flair for the dramatic almost sank him, and Ed's aggressive cuddling was the cherry on the top.
    Very well and beautifully written.
