    I like your take on Petunia being the real mastermind behind Harry’s abuse, you’re 100% right in the fact that she did instill the fear/hatred of magic and harry.

    I do not want to give her a redemption arc, shes definitely gonna go through it for what she put Harry through. A genuine nice Petunia is not in the works at all.

    I’m mainly writing this subplot as to give an insight into how damaged harry’s psyche was in that house that he would latch onto tidbits of comfort and love that did not truly exist. remember harry is a very unreliable narrator in how he views his world.

    So when i say that I struggled to write Aunt Petunia without depth it comes from a place where i know what growing up in an abusive environment can do to you mentally. The Petunia arc will not be a redemption arc, more a Harry Healing arc, if you catch my drift.

    i’m also writing it to explore petunia’s depth as a character that she was not only Aunt Petunia, but also lily potter’s sister, Petunia Evans

      Hi I'm glad you didn't find my comment rude and that you explain in detail your take on Petunia's character and yeah I definitely see it was Harry's perspective but I wanted to be sure she wasn't gonna became nice out of nowhere.

      Also that you woudn't give her a redemption arc when in this fic and timeline she's still so close to her canon self, I think I would have drop the story if that was the case; not that your work would be bad but cause I can't read fic where the dursley either don't get consequences or some author give Hogwarts timeline Petunia a redemption that she don't deserve after what she put both Harry and Dudley through.

      For me the only way for Petunia to be redeemed is in Harry's early childhood when she realized what they are doing to Harry could happen to Dudley if they have an accident since Lily and James are already dead so can't take care of Dudley.

      Talking about Dudley will he get help too and get a redemption ?
