      That's high praise! Vegeta is one of those characters I actually don't like very much (which is part of the reason why I sort of hesitated and pushed away his inclusion into the story), so hearing some actual Vegeta fans say they like what I did with a character they care about means a lot, thanks.

      It's always difficult trying to put the adequate spotlight on and work with characters you don't really jive with in terms of their source material portrayal, but it's also a fun challenge sometimes. It leads to lots of self-reflection, figuring out why a character doesn't click with you, and what you can do to change that thing while preserving the core of the character.

      It's tough, but it's rewarding when it works out. It's just that in my case I really couldn't have just left Vegeta sidelined and ignored him forever. He's a pretty important character, and an incredibly popular one at that, so, whether you like it or not, you kind of have to work with him if you're writing a Dragon Ball story

        I like that you really think heavily on his character at first when I listened to your writing when you were still on fanfic.net I can tell you wanted to remove Vegeta from the story after him and Bulma get together, then suddenly he came back introducing Cooler into the story. Which I personally enjoyed.

        I know alot of fans dont like Vegeta, and to be honest I didn't either untill I watched the buu saga and super were I started to respect his character. He is someone I can relate to heavily, for example working towards something that can appear far off your reach, but having the determination. Or for Vegeta the pride to still go after it. So I appreciate your characterisation for him, I got to see him accomplish what I haven't yet to see the Vegeta in the original story accomplish yet. (ToT)
