Chapter Text
"So, how did it go?" Robin asked, pausing her game as her roommate walked through the door.
"Terribly," Palutena replied, already in the proccess of pouring herself a drink.
"Do you wanna talk about it?" Robin got up from her spot on the floor and walked over to the goddess, to which she poured drink of her own.
"There's nothing to talk about, that's the problem. This guy couldn't hold a conversation to save his life, the whole date was boring and awkward as heck. I'm hopeless, Rob."
"Hey now, you're not hopeless, you just neeed to look harder, or something." The tactician took a sip of her drink, then gave a smirk. "You know, you could always just date me."
Palutena shrugged. "I might as well. Maybe I'm just not meant to date guys, you know? I mean I've always known I liked girls, but it's kinda a staple for the gods to be into everyone, I guess I've been pushing myself too hard to follow suit. What if that's just not me though?" Palutena rambled on, now halfway through her second drink.
"Bi folks are rad, but if that's not you then there's no shame in just being a lesbian. Now, go back a bit, was that 'might as well' a yes?"
Palutena ignored that last part as she continued. "Yeah, you know, I should embrace it. It's not like I adhere to any other staples of the gods, I can't keep forcing myself into a box that I don't fit in. I can't remember the last time I allowed myself to date a girl. Actually I've probably over compensated in my pursuit of men that most people probably peg me as straight." The goddess chuckled before frowning slightly. "Hm, do you think people here would view me differently if they knew I wasn't straight?"
Robin couldn't help but laugh. "Palutena, let me let you in on a little secret. All of the girls here are queer in one way or another, and I highly doubt anyone expects any different from you."
Palutena took that as a surprise and thought for a moment, an idea forming. "What if we made a club for all of the lesbians in the mansion to get together?"
"A club? Like after-school style? What would we even do in such a club, kiss eachother?"
Palutena ignored the non-believer and got to work, grabbing a large piece of paper from seemingly out of nowhere and starting to draw out a poster.
Robin rolled her eyes and smiled. Her roommate was adorable when she was drunk, acting impulsively though thankfully not ever in a dangerous way, and would always suddenly become determined as she set her mind to some new project.
"Done! Here, please make... Let's say, 27 copies of this, I'd do it but you know you're better with technology than me."
"You know you're going to regret this, but whatevs. Aye aye, cap'n," and with that Robin was off, to make 27 copies of the poster.
On her way to the copier, which was unfortunately on the other side of the building, she took a moment to look over the poster. There was a cute drawing of a chibi Palutena holding up a lesbian flag in the middle, while at the top it read "PALUTENA'S LESBIAN CLUB" with "TUESDAYS AT 6PM IN THE LIBRARY" at the bottom. She found herself smiling a big smile, the whole thing as well as Palutena herself were too endearing.
"What's got you all smiley?" Samus asked, as she happened to also be perusing the halls at this hour for her own reasons.
"Palutena," Robin answered, turning the paper to face the bounty hunter.
"Drunk again, I take it?" Samus guessed with a smirk as she looked over the paper. Robin simply nodded in response. "Geez, even in this state her handwriting is better than mine."
"She asked me to make some copies, presumably to put up in the halls. It feels like promoting an after-school club, it's pretty silly, but it's worth it to see her face tomorrow when she realizes what happened."
"Oh please, you're just happy to see her face everyday."
Robin laughed. "Well you're not wrong. Anyways I gotta go get this done, I'll see you later."
"See ya. I'll be sure to meet up with the club tomorrow."
And with that, they parted ways. Robin went on to make her copies, and she spent the rest of the night helping Palutena put up the posters all throughout the mansion.

"Hey Robin?" Palutena awoke the next morning, not feeling the best. She rubbed her eyes before rolling over to check if Robin had already gotten up yet. Alas her roommate was still there, now awake thanks to the goddess' voice.
The two girls shared a bed. They weren't roommates out of any neccessity, there was plenty of room in the mansion for everyone to have their own space, however the two werd close friends and when they first arrived however long ago they thought it'd be fun to room together. There was only one bed per room, but neither one minded enough to bother getting another bed.
"Waddya want?" Robin asked, clearly not wanting to be awake right now.
"What happened last night? And...is this crayon on my hand? I hope I didn't draw anything weird, again."
Suddenly Robin was wide awake, and far to excited. "Oh that, you drew a poster, it was pretty cute."
"A poster for what?" Palutena inquired, the slightest bit worried by Robin's attitude shift.
"A poster for the club, your greatest idea!" Robin said with a grin. "Why don't you go out in the hall and see for yourself!"
The goddess groaned, scared to see what she did this time. The two of them hopped out of bed and stepped outside to gaze upon this poster. Robin burst into laughter as she watched the reaction.
"Robin, why did you let me do this?" Palutena asked after calming down.
"I've learned that it's impossible to stop you, so I don't bother trying anymore."
"That... That's fair. I guess I'll just have to explain what happened and apologize to anyone who shows up." Palutena sighed and returned to the room to get ready.
Soon after, the pair made their way to the dining hall to grab some breakfast and coffee. As Palutena waited by the coffee maker, somebody unexpected approached her.
"Palutena... I need to talk to you..."
It was an uncharacteristically nervous Dark Pit, and immediately Palutena went into concerned mom mode. "Pittoo, what's up? Is something wrong?"
"Well no, I just... I saw the poster and I wanted to know if you'd let me join the club..."
"Huh? This is embarassing, I was drunk when I put those up, I was going to shut down the club right away and apologize to everyone. But erm, do you mind if I ask why you were interested?"
"Well..." the angel took a step closer to whisper in her ear. "...I have been doing a lot of thinking lately and... After talking to Pit, and Robin, I've come to realize... I think I'm a girl." Dark Pit took a moment to catch her breath. "I just thought that the club sounded like a safe place for me to come out."
Suddenly Palutena had her arms wrapped around the raven haired girl. "You've convinced me, I'll give the club a chance, and you are welcome to be there. I'm here for you, you can always come to me if you need to talk about something like this. You are my child, just as Pit is, and I'll always love you and accept you, and help you in any way I can."
Dark Pit cried into Palutena, and silently nodded in response to her words.
"Would you like to join me and Robin for breakfast? Oh, and is there a new name you'd like me to call you? Also, you mentioned Robin, so does she already know?"
The angel separated herself from the goddess. "You can keep calling me Pittoo if you want, I haven't settled on a new name yet. And yeah, sorry I talked to Robin before you, I just figured since she's already gone through this herself that she might have some advice. I would love to join you two for breakfast, thank you... For everything."
The two walked along to where Robin was patiently waiting. She smiled seeing the company. "Mornin' Pittoo, what brings you here?"
While this particular angel wasn't on everyone's good side, she had become good friends with Robin. The two would sometimes play video games together which built up their respect for eachother, and Pittoo was also the only one who Robin could get to play her nerdy card games with her.
"My daughter here convinced me to give that dumb club a shot," Palutena answered for her with a smirk. Robin smiled brightly at that.
"So you told her? Ahh I'm so proud of you!" Robin looked to the angel and pulled her into a big hug, to which she started crying again. She couldn't handle the support.
"So are you planning to come out to everyone at the club?" Robin asked after the raven haired girl calmed down and took a seat.
"That's the plan. I mean with you and Samus, I can't imagine they wouldn't support me as well... Right?"
"Wait, is Samus trans too??" Palutena jumped in. The other two looked at her in disbelief.
"Um, yes? She's not subtle about it or anything, have you not noticed all of her stuff that's decorated with the flag?" Robin asked, baffled.
"I just thought she was an ally? I didn't want to assume or anything."
Robin shook her head and smiled. There goes Palutena being cute again.
After breakfast, everyone went about their day until it was time for the club.

6 o'clock came around, and Palutena waltzed into the library. She was shocked by just how many people actually showed up. Everyone was sitting in chairs arranged in a circle, with a table in the center, and a tray of cupcakes on top.
Robin approached her with a look of minor annoyance. "The thing says 6, but you could've come a bit earlier to actually get everything set up. Luckily I anticipated that you wouldn't bother, and I took the liberty of setting up myself. The cupcakes weren't me though, Isabelle stopped by with those but unfortunately couldn't stay. And what are you wearing??"
Palutena listened along to everything she was saying and nodded. At the last part, she looked down at her shirt. It was an oversized black t-shirt that said "THE CRIMES OF GRINDELWALD"
"Oh uh, heh, this was on clearance at Hot Topic, and I can't say no to a cheap comfy shirt. Pittoo asked me to take her there earlier to get new clothes for tonight. I took a nap when we got back, and I slept longer than I meant to. So that's why I'm late, and why I'm not dressed nicer. Has Pittoo come by yet?"
Robin smiled. "You are forgiven, for being a good mom. No sign of the lady of the hour yet though..."
"Well, either she shows up later, or she doesn't show up at all, that's up to her. I suppose we shouldn't keep the others waiting."
Palutena and Robin took their places within the circle, and Palutena greeted everyone. "Good evening folks! So, admittedly I was drunk when I put up those posters, I don't really know what I'm doing, but I'll figure it out. I'm willing to give this thing a chance. So, maybe we should start with introductions. We may already know eachother, but I think it's a good place to start to make everyone comfortable. Say your name and pronouns, and if you're feeling up to it then you can give more about yourself, either more about your queer identity or just a fun fact. I'll go first, then we'll go around clockwise."
Everyone gave reassuring looks, and Palutena was pretty sure she hadn't messed up yet. "Alright, so, I'm Palutena, she/her, and it took me until last night to finally admit and embrace that I'm a lesbian."
"Hey um, I'm Robin, she/her, um, I'm trans so that's that..."
"I'm Zelda, or Sheik. She/they or he/they depending. I'm genderfluid. People always ask what the deal is with Sheik, and I kind of like leaving them confused, but I hope this clears things up. Sheik started out as a disguise, but I realized that sometimes I felt more comfortable as him. Now I spend about equal time as Sheik and Zelda, he's no longer a disguise but rather just, me. I still consider myself a lesbian though regardless."
"I am Lucina. I hadn't put much thought into it before, but after listening to Zelda I think I relate. I used to disguise myself as Marth, and there's something about that time that I miss. I don't know exactly what to call myself right now, but if you wouldn't mind maybe using he/they for me? Not that I mind she, I think I'd be fine with any of those."
"I'm Peach, she/her. I'm just your boring cis lesbian, but for what it's worth you all have my full love and support!"
"Hi I'm Daisy! She/her, ditto everything that Peach said!"
"...Rosalina, they/them."
"Samus, you all know me, she/her, trans, all that jazz."
"Alrighty," Palutena spoke with a smile, "I think that's everyone for today, unless there's someone hiding behind a bookshelf...?"
"I'm not hiding, I'm just doing my job as self appointed librarian!" Corrin spoke up, stepping out from behind a bookshelf.
"Not you! But you are welcome to join us!"
Dark Pit slowly stepped out from behind a different bookshelf. "Hey, I'm the bookshelf dweller..."
Everyone looked over at the angel. She realized while shopping that she had no sense of fashion, but she hoped she looked halfway decent. She was clad in a women's Nirvana t-shirt, a black spiked choker, a black plaid skirt with an imprctical fake belt attatched to it, long black socks, and a cute black bow in her hair with a skull in the center. Her hair was brushed down as opposed to her usual spikey hair, it was surprisingly long like this.
She approached the group, and took an empty seat between Lucina and Peach.
"Hey I'm Dark Pit, or Pittoo as some call me. I'm still trying to come up with a new name. Um, she/her. I just recently realized that I was trans, and I thought this group would be safe to come out to to start. Sorry, I hope I'm not overshadowing everyone else, I don't want this to be all about me..."
"Breathe, kid," Samus instructed, to which she complied.
"Don't apologize, we're happy to have you here!" Lucina spoke up abruptly, jumping to his feet, before sitting back down. Several others spoke over eachother, it was barely comprehensible but they were all agreeing with Lucina.
"Also, I must say that you look lovely," Peach added after everyone quieted down.
"Thank you all... It means a lot to be accepted..." Dark Pit struggled to hold back yet more tears. Palutena saw this and got up to give her another comforting hug. Robin joined in, then Peach, then everyone else besides Lucina and Rosalina. The remaining two were too socially inept to recognize whether it was appropriate to join in or not, but that's okay.
After the lengthy introductions, everyone helped themselves to Isabelle's cupcakes, and then eventually parted ways. All that remained in the library were Palutena, Robin, and Dark Pit, and of course Corrin who was doing her job as self appointed librarian.
Palutena picked up Robin and spun her around. "We did it! It wasn't a disaster!"
Dark Pit smirked at the display. "Why don't you two just kiss already?" she teased.
"Oh please, I've been waiting for years now, it ain't happening," Robin retorted with her own smirk after being placed back on her feet. Just then, Palutena leaned towards her and placed a kiss on Robin's cheek. She froze up, and the goddess and the angel laughed.
"Well, I'll leave you two to...whatever this is, I need to sleep. Today was terribly overwhelming," Dark Pit said before taking off.
Eventually the two other girls made their way back to their room, and all was well, or something like that.

"So like, Dark Pit only mentioned that she's trans. Is she a lesbian, or is she simply more comfortable around lesbians?"
"Go to sleep, Robin. If she didn't tell you, then she definitely didn't tell me. Maybe she doesn't have it figured out yet. She's allowed in the club regardless."
"Okay, okay, fine. I see you're only interested in gossip when it's not about your kids. Completely fair."
"How are you still wide awake? Why not do something else with this energy and let me sleep in peace? You know, you still have your game paused from last night..."
Suddnly Robin jumped out of bed and bolted into the living room. Palutena sighed and smiled, soon falling asleep. Robin eventually rejoined her a few hours later, and the two slept peacfully into the morning.
Once again Pittoo joined the two for breakfast. She had her hair down again, the bow as well. Last night gave her new confidence in her presentation.
As the trio sat, ate, and made small talk, a new face approached. "Marth? Wait, Lucina??" The swordsman giggled as Robin looked them up and down. The only thing different about them was a much shorter haircut, but Robin swore that they looked completely different.
"May I?" they asked, glancing at the seat beside Pittoo. The angel returned a nod and the swordsman sat beside her.
"I think your hair looks nice. It looks like it suits you better," Dark Pit looked it over once more, and Lucina smiled.
"Same to you... Hey Dark Pit? Remember when we used to hang out? Could we do that again sometime?"
"Are you asking my daughter out on a date?" Palutena asked with a mock stern look.
"Ahh no ma'am! I just meant like hang out as friends, I swear!" Lucina's face was bright red, and Robin couldn't hold in her laughter.
"Ignoring them," Dark Pit started, rolling her eyes, "I'd love to hang out. It's been too long, sorry I haven't been very sociable in recent years. Well, I guess this has something to do with that," she motioned to her hair, "but I hope we can catch up now."
Lucina nodded. "You looked happier last night than I've seen you in a long time, and well that makes me happy. I don't care if you haven't been sociable, I just care that you're feeling better now."
"I really appreciate it, Luci. Thank's for not giving up on me. Um, how about meeting up in my room around 7? We can play video games or something while we talk about everything?"
"That sounds nice, Dark Pit, I'll be there." The two smiled at eachother. Meanwhile Palutena and Robin held onto eachother and tried not to cry at the wholesome exchange.
"You two are so cute," Robin remarked, causing the two in question to blush.
"Geez, remind me to never talk to old friends in front of you, Dark Pit sighed.
"You don't mean that," Robin said with a smile.
"No, of course I don't mean that. But still, chill."
The day went on, and eventually 7 o'ciock rolled around. Dark Pit sat in her room, waiting anxiously for her guest to arrive. She had her Sega CD set up, and hoped that Lucina's favorite game was still Eternal Champions: Challenge from the Dark. She couldn't help but think about what Palutena said this morning though, was this meant to be a date? Should she have set up something more romantic? No, Lucina wasn't like that, and there was no way that they'd be into her anyways. Lucina was only interested in girls, and they didn't know that she was a girl until yesterday, ergo unless they managed to magically fall in love with her yesterday then there was no way they had any intentions to date her, right?
A light knock at the door pulled the angel out of her thought and she jumped to her feet to open the door.
"Hey um, sorry if I'm a bit late, I was kind of waiting outside for a while trying to build up the confidence to knock. But that's how I've always been, so you probably suspected it, heh..."
"I had a suspicion," Dark Pit said with a smile. Her eyes wandered down to find that one of her friend's arms was hidden behind their back, as if they had some kind of surprise. "What's that you've got? You didn't have to bring anything you know..."
Lucina's face turned red as she pulled out a bouquet of flowers. "It's kind of embarassing, but Robin insisted that I give these to you. She's convinced that this is a date... It's obviously not though!"
Pittoo smiled and took the flowers, her own face starting to turn red. "Robin sure does love to meddle. I appreciate it nonetheless, nobody's given me flowers before. Funny enough, Palutena just gave me a vase earlier out of nowhere- wait, goddamnit, she's in on this isn't she... Well, come in, make yourself comfortable, I'll go take care of these flowers."
Both laughed at the situation, before Pittoo walked off and Lucina took a seat on the edge of her bed. They looked around at the room and noticed the console set up, and excitedly peaked at the game inside, which caused them to grin.
"I see you remembered my favorite game," they said as the host made her way back.
"Of course, it feels like such a long time since we last hung out, but it really hasn't been long enough to forget anything."
Dark Pit took a seat beside them, and the two got into the game. Starting out neither really talked much, focussing too hard on getting the hang of the controls after so long and trying to win, but eventually they took things easy and started really chatting.
"So, how long were you behind that bookshelf? Did you um, hear my introduction?"
"Oh yeah I was there the whole time. I'm glad that the group helped you to figure out more about yourself. So he/they/she, right? Any particular preference?"
Lucina thought for a moment. "Ah, not really? I think sometimes I'd like to be called one, and other times another, but I don't know how to really convey that, Zelda seems to have it easy in that regard..."
"Oh, you know, you can get a sliding pronoun pin to show which one to use for you at the time, ask Robin about it. But what would you like me to tse for right now?"
"Ah thank you, that sounds perfect. And um, I think I'd like she for right now, but I don't expect you to be talking about me tonight?"
Dark Pit turned and gave her a warm smile. "It's just good to know, and I'm sure it feels good to let someone know."
"I miss that smile, it's so nice to have you back..."
"I shut the world out for too long, it wasn't fair to you. I want to be here for you again, I want us both to be happy..."
"Thank you, really. Realizing more about myself is overwhelming, and I'm glad I don't have to go through this alone. I'm sure you feel the same way."
By this point, both had dropped their controllers and were looking into eachother's eyes. They were in the middle of a match with the timer still ticking down, but the players didn't care.
The angel nodded at the last thing she said, and Lucina continued. "You know, when we were younger, I actually had a crush on you." This prompted Dark Pit to blush, and Lucina laughed. She leaned back on the bed to get more comfortable, and the other followed suit. "I didn't tell anyone, and I was confused myself. I knew that I only liked girls, so I didn't understand why I'd have any feelings for you. It all makes sense now, I guess somehow my instincts knew even if I didn't know."
"I'm surprised that you're not too embarassed to talk about this kind of topic," Dark Pit said bluntly with a smirk.
"I just thought it was an interesting anecdote, it didn't even register to me what I was really saying," Lucina said, face suddenly turning red again. "I'm sorry, I hope I didn't make things too weird! I swear I don't still fancy you- not to say that there's anything wrong with you or that you're unattractive! I didn't ask to hang out just to confess my love or anything like that, I meant it when I said this wasn't a date- not that I wouldn't date you if the circumstances arose!"
"Lucina, calm down, it's fine. I used to have a crush on you too, there's no interesting story behind it, but I figure it wouldn't be fair if you shared and I didn't. Now we both get to be embarassed."
Lucina faced away, and spoke softly after a moment. "...Will you go out with me?"
Dark Pit was amazed that she managed to be so forward like that. She was proud of her, Lucina had really come a long way. But it was time to think about the question. "I think it's important that we take things slow, spend more time catching up and getting to know eachother better before jumping into anything big. If that's cool with you, then yes I would like that, very much."
Lucina nodded and there was an awkward silence for a bit. Then she turned back to face Pittoo again and spoke softly once more. "...Can I hug you?"
"You may," the raven haired girl replied, and the two held eachother close. After a little while Dark Pit got up to finally shut off the game, and along the way turned off the light, before returning to the bed where the two girls cuddled eachother for the rest of the night.
Notes:
Gonna be honest, I don't have anything in mind for their backstory, I'm just making it up as I go.
Also, I primarily ship Lucina and Palutena, but I've always liked the idea of Lucina and Dark Pit too, the only problem being that it's to straight for me. So I got the crazy idea, what if I could make it gay?One last thing, I'd love suggestions for a new name for DP, because it's a bit of a mouthful. Maybe a new name for Lucina too?

Chapter Text
The next day, Dark Pit and Lucina walked down to breakfast together, hand in hand. Lucina wore one of Dark Pit's old shirts, a men's My Chemical Romance t-shirt. Gendered clothing is dumb, but it got Lucina giddy to wear something not explicitly labeled women's. The swordsman had informed the angel before they left that he'd like to be called he this morning, which his partner had no qualms with.
As the two entered the dining hall, they spotted Robin and Palutena keeping an eye on the entrance, presumably waiting for them. They made their way over to the table where they were met with grins.
"So?" Robin asked vaguely as the couple sat down.
"Good morning to you too, Robin," Dark Pit responded with a tinge of annoyance.
"What did you guys do last night?" the tactician elaborated.
"You better have used protection," Palutena chimed in, succesfully flustering the couple.
"We played video games and talked, as mentioned in the initial plan. Sorry if that's not juicy enough for you two."
"Pittoo, please. You two came in holding hands. Lucina is wearing your shirt. Give us the deets," Palutena demanded. Pittoo rolled her eyes while Lucina looked away with embarassment.
"Fine. We caught up a bit, and after talking for a while he asked me out. I agreed as long as we could take things slowly. We proceeded to hug eachother for the rest of the night and it was painfully cute. Since he stayed the night, naturally I gave him some clothes. Are you happy now?"
Palutena nodded with a smile. Content, she got up to get more coffee.
"Well I'm happy for you two. It really is nice to see you two on good terms again. Sorry to pry, I'll restrain myself and Palutena next time." Robin smiled at the two, and couldn't help but hope that she and Palutena would be next...
"I'll hold you to that," Dark Pit replied with her usual smirk. Lucina smiled and rested his head on her shoulder.
"Thank you, Robin. I'm really happy for us too, it's so exciting. Hey um, last night Pittoo mentioned something about a sliding pronoun pin, to like, help indicate what I'm feeling like in the moment, I think that'd be helpful? She said to talk to you about it?"
"Ah, I actually picked one up yesterday, I had a feeling you'd inquire about it. Prediction is part of my job, after all." Robin reached into her bag and pulled out a pin, handing it to Lucina who proceeded to put it oo and set it to he/him. He had an ecstatic grin, which Pittoo found far too endearing.
"Robin, you're too good for this world," he told her.
"I know," Robin said with a smug smile. "I love playing the role of the cool gay aunt who everyone loves."
Palutena returned with a newly full cup of coffee. "You know, that coffee maker takes to long, I feel like I missed some important conversations here."
"It shouldn't take more than a minute, you're just not doing it right." Robin always loved to tease the goddess about her struggles with machines.
"I'm hurt, Robin!" Palutena said with a playful exagerated offended look. She didn't mind the teasing, after all she excelled at everything else aside from technology, or so she liked to think.
"Anyways, I'm glad that my brilliant idea of a club helped bring you two together."
"From what I heard, it seemed like you regretted the idea at first, but pardon me if I got that wrong," Lucina stated, getting a laugh out of Robin.
"No, you're absolutely right, she was ready to cancel the whole thing," Robin added. "You don't deserve the credit."
"Nah actually, I give Palutena credit, she did still come up with the idea, and went through with it in the end. Plus she's just cool and worth appreciating in general," Dark Pit chimed in, giving the goddess a small smile.
"Well at least SOMEONE here loves me. Thank you, Pittoo, you're a good kid."
Dark Pit smirked again. "I'm pretty sure there's someone here who loves you more, I don't know how you constantly fail to see it." Robin turned red at that remark, and Palutena just gave a confused look.
"Who, Lucina? He can't love both you and me, that's just weird, I'm practically your mother."
Lucina blushed and looked away again. "...I don't think she's talking about me..."
Palutena shrugged. "Well then you've lost me. I'm just gonna focus on my breakfast." Robin was baffled by how oblivious she could be, but she grew to accept it by now. She let out a sigh which prompted the goddess to turn her attention to her.
"Oh hey Robin, what's on your mind?"
Robin smiled at her and shook her head. Palutena was too precious. "You, silly," she answered with a laugh.
"Thinking about me? That's pretty gay, Robin." Everyone laughed. It was times like these where Robin wondered whether Palutena was really oblivious, or just messing with her.
"Perhaps we should leave them be," Lucina suggested to her partner. Pittoo nodded, and the two walked off to go do something else.
Meanwhile at the other end of the dining hall, a conversation amongst enemies occurred. Ganondorf sat across from a Link, an unlikely sight.
"Link, I need your help. We may not be friends, but I respect you and trust you more than anyone else here. What...is a lesbian? I saw the green-haired false-god's hideous poster, and I keep hearing everyone talk about it. I hate being in the dark about these things."
Link looked at the darklord and pondered whether he was serious. Ganondorf wasn't one for jokes however, and so they decided to give a serious answer. They signed out the definition, and Ganondorf took a moment to decipher the hand motions before responding.
"I see. I didn't realize there was a distinct word for it. Amongst the Gerudos such relationships are commonplace, we don't bother assigning such labels, but naturally other cultures are bound to be different. Well, I wish them all the best of luck in their pursuits."
Link simply nodded before returning to a book they were reading before Ganondorf interrupted.

"Welp, the kids left," Palutena remarked, finally noticing after 10 minutes.
"I still think it's funny that we act as if they're kids when we're all of comparable age," Robin added.
"Eh, it gets weird when time travel and immortality are involved. You have to assign roles at some point for the sake of having some semblance of normalcy. It's all arbitrary I suppose."
"Yeah fair enough. So, waddya wanna do now?" Robin asked with a yawn.
"I dunno. Y'know, we shouldn't always feel obligated to do something of substance, I'm kinda feeling like just relaxing in bed and putting on something to watch."
Robin let out another yawn and nodded. "That sounds pretty nice right now."
Palutena stood upand held out her hand to Robin. "I guess it's settled then, le's go."
Robin took the goddess' hand, more eagerly than she should have, and the two returned to their room. They both plopped down on the bed and got comfortable, and Palutena grabbed the tv remote.
"Hey, what was that movie that you were talking about the other day?" Palutena asked as she mindlessly scrolled through the far too plentiful selection of things to watch.
Robin's eyes lit up. "You mean Buckaroo Banzai? You're actually cool with checking it out??" When Robin discovered a new movie, she had a tendancy to hyperfixate on it and become desparate to find someone to talk about it with. Her latest obsession was the afforementioned Buckaroo Banzai, an 80's cult classic sci-fi adventure.
Palutena shrugged. She liked to indulge in Robin's movies when she was feeling up to it. "Yeah, why not? It sounds interesting."
"Ohh I really hope you like it, I mean it's not for everyone, I hope you don't end up losing faith in my movie suggestions..."
"Hey, no need to worry, you know me." Palutena shot her a reassuring smile and put on the movie.
After it was over, she turned to face Robin to let her know what she thought, but alas the tactican was fast asleep. "Bored by your own movie, huh?" Palutena remarked, really just to herself. She gently pat her friend's head before leaving her alone.
The "kids" returned to Dark Pit's room, and went back to the game they were playing the night before.
"So, have you put more thought into a new name for yourself? Not that you have to change it, but you had mentioned that you were trying to decide in your introduction the other day."
Dark Pit shrugged. "I keep coming up with possible names, but I always talk myself out of it. Right now the top contender is Artemis, but I don't know what Palutena would think about me naming myself after someone she might actually know."
"Eh, don't worry about what she thinks, it's your name not hers. I think Artemis is a really pretty name, it suits you." Lucina gave her a smile, and she smiled back.
"What about you, do you have any names in mind?"
"I was thinking, maybe just Lu? It's simple, not too different, and it sounds more gender neutral as far as I can tell. What do you think?"
"Lu is a super cute name for you, I think that's a good idea," Artemis said enthusiastically. Lu smiled more, and in a repeat of last night the two dropped their controllers and started hugging.
"I really like this, being like this with you. You're really comfy, and comforting," Lu told her, a bit awkward, but sincere.
"I forgot how nice it was just being around you, you're presence just makes me happy," Artemis said in response. Neither was really sure what they were supposed to say, and just went with whatever came to mind.
"...I don't know what else to say. I'm not good with words..." Lu admitted.
"We don't have to say anything," Artemis assured him. The two went silent and just enjoyed eachother's warmth. Once again they had to separate at some point for Artemis to get up to shut off the game. She returned and the two layed down on the bed together.
Lu looked into the other's crimson eyes and blushed a little. "...I think...I'd like to kiss you... Would that be moving to fast?"
Artemis blushed as well and nodded. "...I'll allow it." The bluenette proceeded to move their face closer, and placed their lips against the girl's. Neither had done this before and as always it was awkward as heck.
Lu pulled away after a moment, smiling like a madman. Also worth noting that she adjusted her pin a few times, currently landing on she/her.
Artemis smiled back, and moved in to place a quick kiss on her cheek. "You're adorable, you know. Unbearably cute."
Lu turned even more red and looked away. "Th-thank you..." she said softly.
The two laid like that for a while, exchanging kisses occasionally, and not knowing what to say or do from there.
Robin eventually woke up while Palutena was halfway through an episode of Hannibal.
"If I wake up one more time to the sight of some gruesome flesh sculpture..."
Palutena paused the show and smiled at Robin. "Oh hey, you're awake again! Mm good morning sleepyhead~"
Robin threw a pillow at the goddess's face and sat up. "So, what did you think about the movie?"
Palutena laughed and threw the pillow back at her. "It was ridiculous. I think I kinda loved it?"
"Ahh I'm so glad. You surely have the key to my heart~"
"If I had a nickel for everytime you said I had the key to your heart..." Palutena said with a smirk.
"What can I say? We might as well be soulmates, haha..."
Palutena paused to think for a moment. "Hey Robin?"
"Um, yeah?"
"I've been wondering, do you have a thing for me, or are you just flirty?"
Robin was in disbelief as her face turned red. "...You idiot."
"Pardon?"
Robin sighed and shook her head. "Of course I have a thing for you, it's not like I've been subtle! Have you ever seen me flirt with anyone who I wasn't into? I thought that maybe you've just been messing with me, but now I see that you really are just oblivious."
Palutena frowned. "Please don't be mad, I'm sorry that I never really picked up on it. I really just thought that we were just close friends and flirting for fun... How long have you felt like this?"
"First off, I could never be mad at you. A bit dumbfounded maybe, but I like you too much to have any real greivances. But to answer your question... I don't know, but it's definitely been years."
Palutena sighed. "I just feel bad, I should have known. I can't imagine the agony of putting up with my cluelessness."
"Hey, don't worry about it, it's cool. Honestly seeing you so clueless has been really cute."
"...So what now?"
Robin looked at her. "Well... What do you think of me...? Do...you feel the same?"
Palutena looked away. "I really don't know how I feel. How is it that the kids have an easier time with this stuff than us?"
They both laughed, and Robin smiled at her. "We can just keep being friends for now until you figure it out. I'm just glad that you actually know now, it's a big weght off my chest."
"I don't neccesarily think I want to continue just being friends though. While I don't know if I want a relationship, the idea of just staying as we are doesn't sit well with me. I really don't know how I feel, this is weird. I've only ever dated people who I sought out for the purposes of dating, I've never dated someone who I'm already so close to... I dunno, I guess we can try it out..."
Robin reached over and gently grabbed Palutena's hand. The goddess looked over at her and the two smiled at eachother.
"Thank you for giving this a chance, I promise to take things slowly for you, and to ensure that you feel comfortable," Robin reassured her. Palutena moved in closer and wrapped her arms around Robin.
"Thank you for being understanding. It'll take some getting used to, but I think this will be nice."
"You know the kids are totally going to make fun of us after our teasing and meddling," Robin remarked with a grin.
Palutena laughed. "You're not wrong, I expect to get a lot of shit from them."
"We don't have to tell them for now if you don't wan't to."
"Nah, they'll find out soon enough anyways. Now that I'm hugging you, I don't think I'd be able to go long enough without doing it for them to not notice. You're very huggable, you know. I think I might be addicted."
Robin giggled at her words. "That's pretty gay, Palutena," she said with a smirk.
Palutena gave a fake scoff. "How dare you use my words against me?"
"What are you gonna do about it, huh?"
"I'll just have to silence you," Palutena said with her own smirk, before moving in and giving Robin a long kiss. When she finally pulled away, Robin was bright red, it took her a minute to regain her composure.
"Well so much for taking things slowly..."
Palutena laughed. "Yeah, that apprehension is already behind me. I take it back, I think I'm ready to fully commit to this."
Robin grinned. "Well that was quick, but I can't say I mind."
Palutena kissed her cheek, and pulled her closer.
"What do you have up your sleeve now? Should I be scared?"
Palutena grinned. "I don't wear sleeves, darling~" She gave a non-answer, before going in for another kiss.
The day went on, with neither couple leaving their rooms. Peach's room happened to be nextdoor to Robin and Palutena's, and she could hear a bit of their talking. She smirked, looking up from her book, and thought about how Daisy owed her quite a few coins after this.

Chapter 7: Dancing With Myself
Summary:
Rosalina is lonely, big mood. In other news, everyone is still gay.
Notes:
There's some awkward romance stuff that might be seen as a tad nsfw so I figure I should give some kind of warning? With the T rating I'm trying to fit within the constraints of what you might find in a PG-13 movie, I don't intend to include anything too spicy but lemme know if I should change the rating.

Chapter Text
"Good morning," Artemis greeted as her partner opened their eyes.
"Mm g'morning Dar- I mean Artemis," Lu said with a yawn, scolding themself mentally for tripping up their words.
Artemis giggled and planted a kiss on their cheek.
"I dunno if I'll ever get used to waking up next to someone, not that I mind of course," Lu remarked as they sat up and stretched.
Artemis was sitting on the edge of the bed, about to get up. "Do you need to borrow another shirt today?" She asked, finally hopping to her feet and approaching her dresser.
"Ahh only if you don't mind. I just really don't want to walk all the way to my room just for that. Plus your shirts are much nicer."
"Yeah I gotcha, it's no problem," Artemis told them before tossing Lu an old System Of A Down t-shirt.
Lu started to take off the shirt that they slept in, and Artemis quickly looked away. Lu laughed. "You know you don't have to look away, I have nothing to hide. We are dating, afterall."
Artemis blushed. "I just can't help but feel like I'm doing something wrong, unsavory rather. I know it's probably childish." She slowly turned back to face her partner. Her eyes looked along their body, muscular after years of training, and all around beautiful to her eyes.
"I didn't say to stare, I just meant you didn't have to completely avert your gaze..." Lu blushed and looked away from their partner's curious eyes.
"Ack sorry!" Artemis quickly placed her hands over her eyes. After a moment she peeked to see that Lu had finished changing.
"So..." they muttered to break the awkward silence.
"...You have a beautiful body..." Artemis said the first thing that came to mind, which was probably the wrong thing.
"..." Lu made sounds as if they were trying to say something, but couldn't form the words. "...thank you..." they finally got out after a moment.
"I'll um. I'll go in the bathroom to change, to avoid any more awkwardness, heh..." Artemis said, but failed to actually move.
"...I don't think it's fair if you get to see me but I don't get to see you..." Lu muttered softly with embarassment.
"I guess I can't argue with that, um. Disclaimer, my body isn't as attractive as yours..." Artemis' face was bright red as she closed her eyes and quickly got changed. She opened her eyes to see Lu's eyes wide open, their face also bright red. They both looked away from eachother, and silence filled the room once more.
"...We should probably get breakfast before Palutena and Robin get suspicious..." Lu finally said.
"Yeah, let's do that..." Artemis agreed before walking to the door.
The two made their way down to the dining hall, faces still red, and nither looking at eachother. When they took their usual seats, Robin looked them over and smirked.
"Okay, this time something definitely happened between you two," she remarked.
"You better have used protec-" Palutena started to repeat her line from the morning prior, before Lu cut her off.
"I swear I didn't do anything unsavory with your daughter, Ms. Lady Palutena ma'am!" Lu blurted out, causing the others to laugh.
"Okay, okay, settle down, we get it. Anyways, Robin and I have an announcement to make."
"Wait, is this like, an important announcement?" Rosalina asked from a few seats over, taking out an earbud.
"Don't worry about it, Rosalina, it's just between us four, you can go back to your podcast," Palutena said with a mix of amusement and annoyance.
"Okay, cool. Because like, Peach made an announcement the other day, and like I totally missed it, and like, I didn't want to miss another one." With that, Rosalina reinserted their earbud, and resumed listening to the latest episode of Interstitial, a Crossover-Driven Actual Play podcast of the game Interstitial - Our Hearts Intertwined.
Palutena shook her head and couldn't help but smile. Robin sighed and took over. "As Palutena was saying, we gots an announcement," Rosalina glanced over again hearing the word and Palutena shot them a glare. Robin continued. "Palutena and me, we're dating now."
"Oh damn, Daisy owes me some coins," Rosalina remarked to themself, which everyone ignored.
"Finally," Artemis said with a roll of her eyes.
"Shut up, Pittoo!" Palutena wasn't actually mad, she knew exactly what the angel was going to say.
"It's um, Artemis now, I settled on it yesterday..."
"My apologies. Ahem, Shut up, Artemis! Haha, your namesake is gonna be thrilled to hear about your choice of name, she'll love you forever."
"I thought you two were already dating?" Lu chimed in, before adding, "Oh and hi, I'm Lu now."
"This announcement was just as much of a disaster as I expected it to be," Palutena said with a grin. Robin just smiled and wrapped an arm around her.
"Well in anycase, I'm happy for you two. Robin's constant hopless pining was starting to get depressing," Artemis smirked.
"...Yep, this was a mistake," Robin said to her partner who simply laughed.
"Really though, you two are cute together, I wish you guys the best," Artemis added, feeling bad.
"Thank you, Artemis 2... Artemitoo... Artoo, that's it! You've earned yourself a new nickname, hope you love it!" Palutena said, prompting a groan from the target of her nickname.
"...I regret everything..." Artoo moped, to which Lu quickly tried to comfort her. Robin was practically cackling.
"You totally have to dress up as R2-D2 for Halloween now!" the tactician proposed excitedly.
"See how happy she looks? You better not turn down her idea!" Palutena said in a tone that sounded like a threat.
"You two are dorks," Artemis said, failing to repress a smile.
"I love the idea, we should totally all dress up as Star Wars characters, my Lumas can be Jawas or something," Rosalina interrupted once again.
"Why are you still listening to us?" Palutena asked, to which they simply shrugged.
"You're fun to listen to I guess. And... I have nobody to talk to..."
Palutena suddenly felt really bad. "What about Peach? You two are friends, right?"
"Yeah we're friends, but I can always tell she'd rather be with Daisy, and when it's all three of us I just feel like I'm intruding... Sorry, I'm intruding here too, I should go..." And with that, the princess got up and left before anyone could stop them.
They all thought back to times when they were in Rosalina's shoes, and they all wished they could help.
"...We should make an effort to include them more. Gosh I feel so bad, they deserve a reliable close friend, like we all have. It's not fair that people get to be so lonely, nobody deserves that, least of all this kid." Palutena ranted, then gave a big sigh.
"...I relate to them too much. We need to figure out a way to help them, without them writing it off as us just trying to be nice." Artemis held back tears and Lu continued to comfort her.
"You kids shouldn't worry about this right now, you have enough of your own problems to deal with. Palutena and I will figure something out." Robin was clearly absorbing Palutena's motherly instincts. Artemis knew she was right, and reluctantly nodded.
"Yeah, for now why don't you two go off and do your own thing?" Palutena suggested. Lu nodded and took Artemis' hand, leading her back to her room.
"So, when are we gonna hang out in your room?" Artemis asked, enterering her room. Lu shrugged.
"Anytime you want I guess. I like it better here though, you don't have noisy neighbors..."
"Oh yeah, I forgot your room was sandwiched between Bowser and Wario. I take it back, I'm good. You know, you can move all of your stuff into here if you want, if you're gonna be spending all your time here than you might as well properly move in."
Lu thought about it. "We'll see, it's a long walk so moving everything over will take a while."
"Oh don't worry about that, Palutena can just magic it over."
"Well in that case, we should talk to her about that later." Lu then blushed. "I don't know why, but the idea of living with you instead of just staying over feels... I don't want to say scandelous, but like, I guess it feels like progressing more as a couple."
"Yeah I get what you mean. Typically a lot is implied in the jump to living together, like the couple being more intamately familliar..." Artemis thought back to earlier in the morning and blushed at the image of Lu's shirtless body. "...But I think it's different here, it's just moving rooms in a big mansion, it's not like you're living all alone with me in our own residence, we'll just be roommates."
Lu nodded. "...Yeah you're right, it shouldn't feel weird, it's nothing special..."
Artemis smiled and took a seat. Lu jumped straight into laying down. They let out a sigh and she could tell there was something on their mind. "What are you thinking about?" she asked, leaning back to be beside them.
"...You, earlier. I've never looked at anyone else undressed, in person at least. You just looked...stunning. I want to get to a point where we can be like that without any embarassment. But I know I shouldn't think about that kind of stuff, you insisted that we take things slow..."
Artemis sighed, having all the same thoughts. "Well, of all the things we could be doing... I don't think being shirtless around eachother should be a big deal. People are shirtless all the time at the beach, right? It's just a normal thing."
"So you don't mind if I..."
Artemis wasn't entirely sure what they had in mind, but she shrugged. "Do whatever you feel comfortable with.
Lu nodded. They sat up and pulled their shirt off. Artemis moved to cover her eyes, but Lu laid back down and pulled her into a hug. Both of their faces were red, but they ignored it. "...This is more comfortable..." they told her.
"Would you like me to..." Lu nodded before she could finish. Artemis sat up and hesitantly removed her own shirt, before laying back down. Lu pulled her into a hug again.
"...I'm sorry I don't really have a woman's body..." Artemis said with a bit of a sad tone. Lu shook their head.
"Don't apologize for your body. You are a woman, therefore you have a woman's body. If you want to change it, do it for yourself, not for me, because I will love it no matter what, simply because it's yours." By the time they were done with their little speech, Artemis was crying. Lu held her closer.
"Thank you, so much... That means a lot... I don't deserve you... You're too good..." She went on sobbing and spouting more words, while Lu simply held her.
"I'm here for you. You're my girlfriend, and my best friend, and... I love you. And I love everything about you. You don't have to apologize for anything, or thank me for anything."
"Lu... I love you too. Thank you for everything. Do you...really see me as a girl, as your girlfriend?"
"Of course I do. You're the most beautiful girl I've ever laid eyes on, and the most pleasant girl I've had the pleasure of knowing. I'm happy to call you my girlfriend. If...anyone makes you feel like you aren't a girl, I shall smite them."
Artemis smiled. Her partner's words meant the world to her. She hadn't really expressed the constant self doubt about her identity that she had been feeling the past few days, and she knew that if she didn't have Lu right now that she probably wouldn't make it far.
"You are truly amazing, and far better with words than you give yourself credit for. I want you to know that I echo all of your sentiments back at you. I'm here for you too, we're here for eachother. Your words honestly mean the world to me, and I wish I could come up with something as meaningful to say.to you. Just, thank you. "
Lu couldn't think of anything to say to that, so they didn't say anything. They pulled Artemis into a kiss, which the girl happily accepted.

Chapter Text
Artemis and Lu finally left the room for the sake of dinner, which they had skipped the night prior in exchange for remaining in eachother's embrace. How cute. They opted not to do the same today however, one because Lu was hungy, but mainly because they wanted to touch base with Robin and Palutena regarding their crusade to help Rosalina.
The two entered the dining hall, there was no sign of the afformentioned crusaders however they did see Rosalina themself. The princess was passionately talking and laughing alongside... Corrin the self-appointed librarian? Nobody had ever seen her leave the library, she might as well have been cursed to stay there forever or something. But here she was, listening enthusiastically to whatever Rosalina was rambling on about.
"Corrin? I didn't think you ever left the library," Lu remarked, the two taking their seats.
"Oh hey guys, I was just telling Corrin about Kingdom Hearts lore, I can start over if you two want to hear about it," Rosalina said with a smile. The couple shuddered, recalling all the times that Robin had talked their ears off about the subject.
"Ah, no thanks, we're already plenty familliar, you can get back to talking to Corrin about it if you want. Are you two like, friends now?" Artemis asked, looking at the two before her.
"Rosalina came to the library this morning," Corrin explained, "I inquired about what they were listening to, and they were more than happy to tell me about their podcast. Then they explained that it would make more sense if I were familliar with Kingdom Hearts, and thus for the rest of the day they have been going in depth telling me all about the subject. It's really quite exciting. And for your information, I leave the library often, it just happens to be where I prefer to spend most of my time. I don't sleep there - usually - as I'm sure you're wondering."
Rosalina nodded with a grin. "We're halfway through Kingdom Hearts 2 now!"
"I've grown quite fond of the story, and Rosalina is a pleasant storyteller."
Artemis smiled. "Well I'm glad to see that you've found someone to talk to," she said to Rosalina in reference to this morning.
"Thanks Artoo, and sorry about intruding on you guys earlier."
"No worries, you were fine. Palutena is sorry for getting annoyed. You're welcome to join us anytime."
Just then, Palutena and Robin strolled in and waved to everyone. Upon taking their seats, Rosalina got back to talking to Corrin, the self-appointed librarian.
"Good job finding them a friend, Corrin seems like a good match for them," Artemis whispered.
"Oh we didn't do anything," Robin said with a laugh.
"After you kids left, we went to find the star spangled princess, but by the time we found them in the library they were already deep in conversation, so we left," Palutena explained.
Robin smirked. "Palutena bolted as soon as she realized it was about Kingdom Hearts."
"Robin's fault for making me unable to bare hearing about the wretched games." Artemis and Lu both nodded in solidarity.
"So what did you guys do for the rest of the day then?" the angel asked curiously.
"I'm...not comfortable answering that question," Palutena said, clearly flustered.
Robin smirked. "She talked my ear off about Metal Gear lore, and got embarassed when I called her out as a hypocrite for being as bad as me with Kingdom Hearts."
"Okay good, I was scared for a sec, I thought Palutena was implying something else there." Artemis said with a laugh.
"Oh, we did also fu- I'm sorry, I can't joke about that, she'll kill me," Robin grinned and looked over at Palutena who glared at her.
"We just talked." Palutena insisted with an unamused expression.
"At least neither of you have to listen to Lu go on about Sonic comic lore," Artemis smirked.
"You said you liked hearing about it..." Lu pouted.
"Babe, of course I like hearing about it, I was just teasing," Artemis tried to comfort them.
"You know, I'm surprised you aren't friends with Rosalina given your shared love of KH," Palutena turned and said to Robin.
Robin shrugged. "I didn't know they were a fan until today."
"You know, I heard a rumor that Sora will be joining the next tournament, and is going to be moving in here soon," said a mysterious voice, accompanied by cigarette smoke that caught everyone's attention.
Palutena screamed and almost fainted. "OH MY SNAKE IT'S SOLID GOD!!" She exclaimed incomprehensibly.
"Dude, you know snake has been living here longer than anyone in this room, right?" Artemis arched an eyebrow.
"NO I DID NOT KNOW THAT, WHY DID NOBODY TELL ME?! Robin, I want a divorce, you can take the kids, I don't care. I'm straight now, I'm marrying Snake."
Snake snickered. "I tend to avoid the fangirls, they tend to get out of hand. Case in point."
"DID SOMEBODY SAY SORA KINGDOM HEARTS IS COMING HERE?!" Rosalina exclaimed.
"Too loud..." Corrin muttered, moving back.
"It's just a rumor, doesn't mean anything. You can't trust strange old men who smoke indoors," Robin said, glaring at him.
Sonic happened to walk by and it was Lu's turn to get excited. "IS THAT SONIC THE HEDGEHOG?!"
"Lu... I've literally seen you talk to him before," Artemis said in disbelief.
"Oh yeah...heh."
"Did you just insult my husband?!" Palutena said with a look of anger directed towards Robin.
"I can't deal with you people right now," Artemis sighed, shaking her head and getting up.
"Yup, I'll make sure to refrain from making my presence known in front of you all," Snake said, waking off.
"He's not your husband, Palutena, you know he's obviously gay, you told me as much earlier," Robin wished she could get up and leave like those two.
"So, where were we again?" Rosalina asked Corrin, regaining their composure.
"You were saying that Organization XIII had just..." The author didn't care enough to research Kingdom Hearts lore to put something specific here.
"I didn't think you actually paid attention, I'm flattered," Palutena had finally calmed down.
"..." Lu sat there awkwardly before finally deciding to run after Artemis. They finally caught up and wrapped their arms around her shoulders.
"That got overwhelming real fast..." she muttered.
"They all ended up calming down though, by the way."
"Yeah, but just that little bit set me off, I'm done with people for the night..." she sighed, before adding, "Not you though, but everyone else I'm done with."
Lu nodded. "That's understandable, let's just get back to the room, maybe listen to music or something."
"Yeah, that sounds nice," Artemis said and the two walked on.
"... So that's the end of Kingdom Hearts 2," Rosalina said. They and Corrin were back in the library after a while. Corrin nodded with the slightest smile, which was a lot for her.
"Would I be correct in assuming that there's more before we get to Kingdom Hearts 3?" She asked, which made the other laugh.
"Oh there's so much more between, you don't know the half of it girl!"
Corrin simply nodded again. "It's getting late, I usually return to my room by now. Would you care to come with me and keep talking, or would you rather pick this up tomorrow?"
"... I haven't had a sleepover in a long time, are you sure you don't mind?" Rosalina asked.
"I do not mind as long as you're comfortable with it. I...don't want to stop listening to your voice."
Rosalina grinned. "Well then heck yeah, let's go!"
Corrin made one last check to be sure that everything was tidy, before grabbing her things to leave. She didn't lock the library, as it was a public area and she wasn't officially in charge of it, but she always tried to have trust in her fellow Smashers to not destroy the place.
Once she was ready, Rosalina grabbed her arm and the two made their way to the her room.
Corrin's room was extremely neat and organized, Rosalina was in awe. "You're really tidy," they remarked with a smile.
Corrin nodded. "I don't like things to be out of place. I like to have something reliable to come back to, where I know exactly where everything is. I don't let people in here very often, but seeing as you were respectful to the library I feel that I can trust you here."
"Aw, well thanks, I'll make sure not to touch anything."
Once again, Corrin simply nodded in response as she pulled out a chair for her guest. She herself sat down at her bed. "If you don't mind me asking... Today you've been very sociable, yet I noticed the other day at Palutena's club that you hardly talked. Why is that?"
Rosalina took a seat and rubbed the back of their head. "Well, I've been told that my personality can be very flip-floppy, jumping from talkative like today, to barely talking and practically shutting down. I hardly notice in the moment that I'm acting differently. I'm on medication to help regulate my behavior or whatever, but I don't think it's helping much..."
"...I see. I've also been told that I act somewhat atypical, and I'm on a few different medications myself."
Rosalina grinned. "Mentally ill buddies, eh?" they said, holding out a hand for a high five.
Corrin allowed herself to smile, and let out a soft laugh. She gently slapped her palm against Rosalina's, to which the guest cheered.
"Now I'm kinda curious to hear more about you, Corr'n," Rosalina said, but she shook her head.
"I'm afraid I'm not good at talking about myself, I never know what to say..."
"Hey, that's cool, I get it. I can ask specific questions if that's easier, or I can tell you about myself...or I can just get back to talking about Kingdom Hearts like you originally invited me here for."
Corrin thought for a moment. "I think I'd like to hear more about you. Hm. You're nonbinary, correct? When and how did you figure that out?"
"Oh, a long time ago now... I spent a long time alone in space - well not exactly alone, but away from people. Without society telling me how to dress or what have you, I sort of lost any connection to my womanhood. The Lumas had no sense of gender, so I figured I didn't have to either. But even before I went to space, I was always... Not Like The Other Girls, I never really went out of my way to acknowledge it or act ladylike unless I had to. I'm not against femininity, I still consider myself a lesbian, still call myself a princess, and I'd rather be mistaken for a woman than a man, but I can say without a doubt that I'm not a woman or a girl or a lady or a lass, and I never was. Above all else, I'm just me."
Corrin looked at them in awe after their speech. "I wish I didn't have to be a girl..."
"That's the the thing, you don't have to be," Rosalina said with a smile.
"...It'd just make my life harder though, I don't think my family would understand, I'd just seem foolish, or they'd just attribute it to my mental illnesses..."
"Well you don't have to tell them if you don't want to, or I could talk to them for you, we can figure something out. Some things will be harder, but it's worth it if it makes you feel better about yourself. I'm your friend now, you don't have to deal with your problems alone."
"...I'll think about. I'm not sure yet if that's even what I really want, it was just a stray thought..."
Rosalina smiled. "That's fine, you don't have to figure it all out right now."
"...Can I ask you another question? When did you first realize you were... gay?"
Rosalina thought for a second, and sighed. "After being away from people for so long, the first person I saw was Mario, and from him I met Peach. Setting eyes on her, I realized that girls were amazing. We dated for a little while but... We just weren't really compatible, I was too distant for her. It was after we broke up that I sought out medication. We're still friends, so she says, but I know I'm just an after thought to her. She has Daisy, I don't know the nature of their relationship, but I know that Peach is happier around her than she ever was around me... I'm sorry, that was way more than you asked for, I don't mean to be all depressing with my sob story..."
Corrin shook her head. "Don't have to apologize. Thank you for telling me, it must be hard to talk about. Um, as for myself, I'm asexual, but romantically I haven't figured out what I'm looking for yet... Feelings are difficult, I try to not focus on them. I want to figure out more about myself, but I'm also to scared to. That... probably doesn't make any sense, does it?"
"No, it makes perfect sense, I completely understand. Things are especially hard when you think about how you don't think like a 'normal' person, and you end up surpressing everything in the proccess of trying to remedy that. I escape into my video games, and you clearly escape into work."
Corrin nodded. "You're the only person I've met who understands me."
"People tend to not want to bother trying to understand others. They'll just point out that you're weird, and carry on with their buisness. It helps finding someone who already thinks similar to you."
Corrin nodded. "Exactly..."
"...I'm depressed now..."
"... Me too..."
Rosalina moved in to hug Corrin. They moved slowly so that she could back away if she wanted, but she simply leaned into it. The two embraced after bonding over their alienation in this world, and they both went on to cry into the other's shoulder. It was a fun sleepover.
"So you're serious that Snake has been here the whole time that we've been here?" Palutena asked as she and Robin laid in bed, watching some terribly boring movie that Palutena regretted picking out.
"I'm 100% serious babe. He's litterally just been hiding from you."
"Man, never meet your heroes."
"Don't blame him, you litterally proved his point by acting all weird when you saw him."
"SO ANYWAYS, do you think the rumours of Sora coming are true?"
"Oh I know they're true, I have contacts from the future, and just to be sure, contacts who can see the future. But I wasn't going to let your precious Snake have the satisfaction of knowing he's right."
"...Man I can't wait to beat the shit out of that kid."
Robin sighed and held back a laugh. "I know, sweetie, I know."
"So do you think Rosalina and Corrin are dating yet?"
"Who knows, but they seem good together, friends or otherwise. They kinda remind me of Rocky and Adrien."
"...I've never actually seen Rocky," Palutena admitted.
"Goddamnit girl, what are we doing watching this crap when you haven't even seen the classics?"
"...Yeah I think it's time to cut our losses, this ain't getting any better. Rocky it is."
And so Palutena and Robin went on to watch the only good sports film, and all was well.

Starbomb - 'The Simple Plot Of Kingdom Hearts'
Chapter Text
"...So then this kid Neku shows up. He's from another Square Enix game called The World Ends With You. The stuff from that game isn't super important to the plot here, but I should probably take a detour to explain it anyways because it's really good. If you don't mind, of course."
Rosalina and Corrin didn't get any sleep that night. They spent it talking, a mix of personal issues and more Kingdom Hearts lore. It was now morning, and while Corrin got ready for the day Rosalina kept talking. They had gotten through 358/2 Days and Re:Coded overnight, and were now on Dream Drop Distance, with a detour into TWEWY. Corrin absorbed everything Rosalina threw at her, and neither wanted to stop.
"I don't mind. I actually recall playing a bit of that one, though it was so long ago and I didn't get very far."
Rosalina nodded and grinned. "Now I'm interested, what other games have you played?"
"Not many. I just had a DS, and I never got very good at any of the games. I believe I beat Kirby Super Star, which really took me a long time to get through. I played a bit of Mario 64, I had some Final Fantasy game but I forget which. Oh, I really enjoyed the Harvest Moon games..."
"Good stuff. I never got around to playing Harvest Moon, but I always heard they were good. You know, if you ever want, you can come to my room and play any of my games."
Corrin nodded. "I think after hearing you talk about them, it might be nice trying to play through Kingdom Hearts together, at least the first one."
"Heck yeah! I better hurry up and finish telling the story so that we can get to that!"
Corrin gave a soft smile as she finished brushing her hair. She threw on a light jacket and grabbed her purse before exiting her room with Rosalina in tow.
It was Saturday, but it was also the tournament's off season so without any obligations every day might as well be the weekend. Still, it was hard to give up a routine, and thus some of the Smashers still treated the day as special. Artemis was one of them, and Lu wasn't.
Artemis was sleeping in, which Lu always struggled to do. At the current moment, they were awake and pinned under their partner's unconcious body, with no idea what to do. They tried to gently move her off, but she threatened to wake up so that idea went out the window. They reached over to grab their phone from beside the bed, and managed to succeed. With that, she quickly sent a message to Robin.
Lu: help artemis is sleeping on me and i cant get up
Robin: Literally same with Pal
Lu: what do i do
Robin: Wait
Lu: its taking to long
Robin: What do you want me to do about it?
Lu: i dont know but i dont have the patience for this
Lu: im waking her up
Robin: Famous last words
Lu: i tried to shake her awake but she just moved into a mor uncomfortable position
Robin: It's either that, or you succeed and she makes you feel bad for the rest of the day
Robin: You're lucky
Robin: ...
Robin: In other news, Palutena is awake and making me feel bad.
Lu: does that mean your free now to come rescue me
Robin: I said she was awake, not that she got up. sHe is still on me and refuses to move.
Lu sighed and tried messaging Palutena instead.
Lu: get off of robin
Palutena: no
Lu: i need one of you to rescue me
Palutena: no
Lu: :(
Palutena: ;)
Lu dropped their phone and closed their eyes. It was time to give up and accept defeat.
...but then a few minutes later, Artemis' weekend alarm went off. She had set it to the song Wake Up by Rage Against the Machine to be funny. It wasn't funny to Lu however, to whom it was very unexpected and nearly gave them a heart attack when the music suddenly started playing.
The angel woke up and shut of the alarm. "Mm good morning Lu," she greeted.
"I hate you," Lu greeted back.
"What'd I do this time?" she asked nonchalantly.
"First you trapped me under your body making it impossible to get up, and now you've nearly killed me with your unexpected loud music!"
"Mm weekends will take some getting used to it seems."
Lu grumbled something uninteligable before playfully pushing the girl off the bed, now finally able to get up themself.
"Ouch, was it really that bad? You know some guys would pay good money to be pinned down by a cute girl."
Lu couldn't help but laugh at that comment, and their anger quickly subsided.
"So, you finally admit that you're cute?" they asked with a smug look.
"I mean I don't think I am, but I just meant like, cute as far as you're concerned. You're the real cute one in the relationship, you hear?"
Suddenly there was a knock at the door, Artemis ran over to get it.
"You're both cute, no sense fighting over it," said Robin with a smirk.
"Hey Robin, what brings you here?" Artemis asked her.
"Jus' wanted to check if your blue haired dork still needed to be rescued, but I can see that you're over that now."
"You asked Robin to come rescue you?" the angel asked, looking behind her at the bluenette.
"It was a dire situation!" Lu insisted.
"Now what I want to know, what were you two doing in bed together anyways? Last I checked, it was frowned upon to sleep together out of wedlock-" On cue, Lu jumped in to silence Robin.
"I Swear we weren't doing anything unsavory, we were really just sleeping, nothing more!"
Robin laughed. "Geeze you guys are boring. I'll be dead by the time you two learn to have fun in bed."
"How dare you encourage such behaviour?!" Palutena exclaimed, suddenly teleporting on the scene.
"I'm just teasin'. It's funny seeing Lucina get flustered. I mean Lu, sorry, don't know how that happened."
"You're all mean," Lu told the other three with a pout.
"What did I do?" Palutena asked.
"You didn't take my need to be rescued seriously!"
"You're still on about that? Look, I'm like a twig, and you know I've seen your muscles, why didn't you just move me?" Artemis asked.
"I didn't want to wake you!" Lu answered.
"What do you mean, you've seen their muscles?" Palutena asked with the usual teasing mock-concern.
"Shut up," Artemis told her before Lu could get flustered again.
"Maybe we should just move on to breakfast..." Lu muttered.
"Good idea," Artemis said, taking their hand and barging past Robin
"And then there were two," Roain remarked, still standing in the doorway.
"What do you want to do now? I'm not hungry, I was thinking maybe we should check on the library kids."
"That's no fun, but probably more important than anything I could think of doing with you right now..."
Palutena laughed. "Why do you always have such a dirty mind? Come on, let's get out of hear."
Robin smiled as her girlfriend dragged her out of the room.
"...It turns out that he's the Composer all along! It totally comes out of nowhere, there's all these secret documents you have to collect after the main game that flesh out the story and make it make sense. But anyways, after..."
Robin and Palutena entered the library, and there they were. Corrin was straightening out a bookshelf while Rosalina stood beside her, talking on.
"They're talking about The World Ends With You now, I bet that makes you happy, it's not Kingdom Hearts," Robin said with a smirk.
"Doesn't make a difference to me, still convoluted schlock. They seem to be doing fine, let's get out of here before they see us..."
"It was your idea to come here, but so be it. Where do you intend to drag me now?"
"I don't know, Robin, but my Nomura allergy is flaring up."
Robin laughed and the two left.
Rosalina grinned. They had taken a break from talking about the games for a little while, switching back to more personal matters, though they figured Robin and Palutena would stop by again as they had yesterday, and thought it'd be funny to go back to the game talk just while they were visiting to get them to leave them alone. Well actually it was Corrin who suggested it, not wanting anyone to overhear about her personal life, but Rosalina was totally thinking about it first.
"I think they're gone. So what were you saying before, 'Rin?" Rosalina asked, using a nickname that they'd started using earlier in the morning.
"My family... They love me of course, both families rather, and I love them, but they lack the patience to deal with me. I wasn't always the easiest to communicate with, and they would get frustrated with me easily, blaming me for it. It was difficult growing up. I was good on the battlefield, but I recall that being the only area in which I recieved any praise. The fact that I was invited to a fighting tournament just goes to show that that's all I'm good for..."
"Hey, don't say that. The tournament is more about fun, we're invited for being recognizable figures, not just because of our fighting ability. Heck, I've never even fought before joining. The fact that you were invited doesn't say anything about you only being good at fighting, you were invited simply because you are you," Rosalina tried to comfort her.
"...You always know the right things to say, I wish I had someone like you around growing up."
"I really don't know the right things to say. I constantly worry that I'm saying the wrong things, and really that is usually the case. But... I'm happy that I can help you. You're someone worth helping. Do people ever come by and talk to you here?"
Corrin frowned slightly and shook her head. "People who come to the library usually ignore me."
"Well that's not cool. I promise to always be by your side whenever you need someone."
Corrin's frown quickly turned to a smile. "...I appreciate you, Rosalina. It feels nice to have a friend."
Rosalina laughed. "Likewise, it's nice having someone who doesn't mind my ramblings. I mean, Robin gets to be the cool quirky nerdy girl, while I'm just the overbearing emotionally unstable nerdy weirdo, but you don't see me like that..."
"Of course. To me you are the friendly relatable princess who has a beautiful voice and doesn't mind keeping me company."
The two smiled at eachother and continued on with their morning in the same manner.
"I wonder why Palutena and Robin haven't joined us yet," Lu said, finishing up their breakfast.
"I honestly don't want to know what they're up to right now, but whatever it is I hope they had the decency to leave my room first..." Artemis remarked.
"...I don't think they're doing anything dirty, or whatever you're thinking. I mean they only just started dating, right?"
"Eh, at their age they can't be bothered to wait. Besides, they've already gotten past the getting to know eachother crap."
"Um, me and Robin are the same age? And aren't you older than either of us?" Lu asked, scratching their head.
"Whatever, it's Palutena that you've got to worry about in any case."
"...I see. You know maybe I don't actually wonder why they haven't joined us..."
Meanwhile, Robin and Palutena were actually in a heated game of Parcheesi, alongside Snake who they had bumped into in the halls and dragged along against his will.

Chapter Text
It was now Tuesday morning, the second meeting of Palutena's Lesbian Club was to be held that evening.
Corrin woke up in her bed, and glanced down at the floor beside her where Rosalina was still asleep in their sleeping bag. Since Friday the two hadn't let eachother out of their sights. On Saturday night, Rosalina was invited once again to sleepover in Corrin's room, where the two passed out almost immidiately after getting no sleep the previous night. Sunday, the two went to Rosalina's room, which Corrin insisted on helping to clean, before they spent the rest of the night playing all the way through the first Kingdom Hearts together. Monday night, they found themselves in Corrin's room again, where they decided on alternating between rooms each night. Which brings us back to Tuesday morning.
Corrin looked at her sleeping friend. She reached a hand down to gently stroke their short blonde hair, and smiled lightly. "Rosalina, it's morning..." she said softly in a failed attempt at waking them.
She gently grabbed their shoulder and gave a little shake, which caused them to stir a bit. "Rosalina~"
Finally they opened their eyes, and smiled looking into Corrin's. "G'mornin' 'Rin," they greeted sleepily.
"Good morning, Rosalina. I feel bad waking you, but you had said that you didn't mind..."
"And I still don't mind, don't feel bad." Rosalina sat up and unzipped their sleeping bag.
"That doesn't look very comfortable," Corrin remarked, eyeing the sleeping bag.
"Eh, it get's the job done. Why, are you offering up the bed?"
Corrin shrugged. "I don't mind sharing if you are comfortable with it."
Rosalina smiled. "I'm cool with it. I didn't think you would be, 'else I would've suggested it earlier."
Corrin nodded. "Next time then. I don't like you sleeping on the floor."
The two got up and got ready for the day, before making their way to the library as per usual. Inside, they spotted a sleeping Pichu off to the side, nestled in a beanbag chair.
"Aww, look at the little guy!" Rosalina whispered happily.
Corrin walked over to it and gently scratched behind an ear, eliciting a purr. "...She comes down here some nights when she gets scared, usually because of the Charizard nextdoor being too loud. I gave her permission to come here."
"That's so sweet of you, 'Rin~" Rosalina said with a grin.
Corrin nodded. "We should stay by the other end of the library until she wakes up on her own."
"Makes sense to me. Let's go then, Poke-mom~!"
"...Please don't call me that."
Artemis woke up, pinned under Lu who had yet to wake up. She was surprised, she was never the first one awake. She thought back to the night before, and recalled that Lu had trouble getting to sleep. She'd feel bad waking them up after that, so she opted to lay there and wait. She hummed softly as she lightly pet their hair.
Eventually Lu awoke with a groan, and tried to go back to sleep. Artemis looked at them and took their hand. "Babe, I think we should get up now," she insisted. Lu just grumbled and rolled over, off the side of the bed.
"Fine, I'm up now," they said from the floor. Artemis frowned.
"What's wrong? You don't usually have trouble getting up," she said with concern.
"I don't knooow but I'm tiiired," Lu complained.
Suddenly an air horn sounded from the hallway, and Lu jolted awake. Artemis ran to the door to find Palutena outside.
"You two hadn't gotten up yet, so I figured you were still asleep, so I borrowed an air horn from Villager and came to the rescue," the goddess explained.
"...Why does Villager have an air horn?" Artemis asked, unamused.
"That scamp has anything you can imagine!"
"That kid scares me..." Lu chimed in, getting up from the floor.
"Where's Robin?" Artemis wondered, noticing her absence.
"She insisted that we have an air horn already, and is currently rummaging through our closet. She keeps sending me pictures of the random shi- stuff she's finding in there. She's adorable..."
"...Right. Well tell her that we're awake now, ane she doesn't have to worry about it," Artemis said, feeling a headache starting to form.
"Oh she knows, but she's determined. I'm gonna go check on her, I'll meet you folks in the dining hall. Don't go back to sleep!" With that, Palutena ran off. Metaphorically at least, in actuality she teleported.
"I love Palutena, but she really makes my head hurt. Like literally. I should take something for this..." Artemis closed the door and walked to the bathroom, looking through her medicine cabinet.
Lu frowned. "Parents can be overwhelming sometimes..." they muttered, thinking about all the times Chrom had aggrivated them in a similar fashion.
Palutena managed to drag Robin away, and the two made their way to the dining hall. "Goddamn kids, they went back to sleep, didn't they?" the goddess remarked as she noticed a lack of a certain swordsman-angel duo. When they took their seats, they were however greeted by somebody else.
"Hello there~!" Peach said as she approached.
"General Kenobi, you are a bold one," Robin couldn't resist adding, which the others ignored.
"'Sup, Peaches?" Palutena greeted the princess in return.
"Oh, you know, I just wanted to confirm that the club was still on for tonight~ I know you nearly cancelled last week, so I just wanted to make sure beforehand~~"
"What club...? Oh. oH. OH FUCK THAT'S TODAY" Palutena came to a sudden realization, and Robin facepalmed.
"...Yes the club is still on, don't mind her. She's a dork, but at least she's my dork..."
Peach nodded with a light laugh. "Got it, I'll see you two later then~~~"
Peach had a certain inflection in her voice that could only be described as princess-y, despite none of the other princesses having it. Some found it endearing, while others found it unbearable. Palutena and Robin were somewhere in the middle, they could take it or leave it. Ganondorf couldn't stand it, Rosalina loved it, to name a few. In any case, the princess left to do her own thing.
Palutena was panicking. "What do I do for the club today?? I don't know how to lead a group!"
"Just wing it. Start with introductions again if anyone new shows up, then ask if anyone has any suggestions for what to do. If not, ask if anyone has any new developments to share, or just anything to share in general. If it comes down to it, we can spend the whole time eating cupcakes and making small talk if we have to. Everything will be fine, just come in early and make sure there's chairs set up and anything else." Robin succeeded in calming her down.
"Oh Robin, what would I do without you?"
"I dunno, you'd probably sleeping alone for one thing."
"Terrible, dreadful thought," Palutena said with a smirk before pulling her into a kiss.
"Honestly, I don't think I'll ever get used to that. I can't remember the last time I had someone kiss me before you," Robin remarked.
"Why would you even want to think about kissing other people, am I not good enough?" Palutena asked with fake hurt in her voice.
"Actually I take that back, I remember exactly the last time I had someone kiss me before you. Ew, I need you to kiss me again to make the thought go away," Robin said with a smirk.
"I can't tell what you're trying to do right now, that was such an awkward setup. But sure I guess I can kiss you again if you really want."
"Get a room," Artemis mocked as she entered the room alongside Lu.
"We have a room, thank you very much, it's just more fun in public," Palutena retorted.
"Well try not to have too much fun in public, I think there are laws against that," Artemis smirked.
"Speaking of too much fun, what took you two so long to get down here?" Robin jumped in.
"I was dealing with a headache brought on by your mistress here," Artemis answered.
"I don't think the term mistress applies to Palutena?" Lu spoke up.
"Semantics, Lu, semantics!" Artemis exclaimed.
Rosalina and Corrin stepped into the dining hall, only to promptly step out again with the group's antics being too loud for poor Corrin.
"...Hey, I have some food stashed away in my room if you want to join me. It's often too crowded or noisy for my liking," Snake said, neither of them having previously noticed his presence.
"...That would be appreciated, thank you sir," Corrin replied. Rosalina shrugged and went along.
"So would you happen to be a Kingdom Hearts fan?" Rosalina asked as they sat on the floor of Snake's room eating a late breakfast.
"Most certainly. I kin Axel," Snake replied.
"Epic. I'm having Corrin play through the games right now, we're going to start 2 tonight if you wanna join," Rosalina said excitedly.
"Nah I'd hate to intrude on your date, but have fun."
"It's not a date dude," Rosalina said, confused by his remark.
"Oh, I assumed you two were dating, I'm clearly slacking on my recon here. In any case, I think I'll pass, but thanks."
"Suit yourself, but we should totally hang out sometime," Rosalina said with a smile.
"...You seem really cool," Corrin chimed in.
"We'll see," Snake answered simply.
The day went on, the club ever approaching. It was now 5:30, with the club at 6:00, and Palutena reluctantly took Robin's advice to show up early. The two strolled into the library, to find that some others had already showed up. Sheik, Peach, and Daisy were the first to arrive, where they had pulled out some chairs for themselves and were engaged in some light conversation. Palutena greeted them as she and Robin grabbed more chairs to once again arrange in a circle. Soon enough Rosalina and Corrin came over from the other end of the library alongside...Snake?
"Snake? What brings you here? Are you..." Robin trailed off as the man shook his head.
"These two invited me. I tried to explain that I don't belong but they insisted. I mean if the rest of the ladies aren't comfortable with me being here then I'm sure these two will understand at that point. Really don't want to be a bother..."
"Hey, you guys care if Snake joins tonight? Seems Rosalina and Corrin dragged him along. He's gay, so I don't think he'll do anything weird." Robin had turned around to get a consensus from the other patrons, who all really didn't care.
"Yeah you should be fine, I'll ask again when more people arrive," Robin told him. Snake nodded and took a seat alongside Rosalina and Corrin.
"I invited someone too, hope you don't mind," Sheik said. Their mouth was covered but their voice did well enough to convey their amused grin.
"Oh joy. Who is it?" Palutena asked, personally unamused.
"Just someone to guard the room from any creeps, you'll find out who soon enough."
"Oh sweet, I tried getting Sonic for that but he said he was busy tonight, something about killing yet another god of destruction. Weird kid." Palutena smiled at the thought of that wacky hedgehog.
"...By creeps, I sure hope you don't mean me," said an obnoxious grating voice that filled the room. Just then a little purple ball with a jester's hat, crazy oversized eyes, and fangs rolled in on a beachball. Palutena facepalmed as it took a seat in the circle.
"Marx. Why for the love of me are you here?" Palutena was unfortunately aquainted with the purple bastard. Every few years there was a meeting held between the gods of all the different universes. Marx was not one of these gods, but he had somehow managed to talk his way into last year's meeting.
"Well, you can't have a club without a club advisor of course!" the purple ball answered with a toothy grin. Robin slowly pulled a spray bottle from her bag, but Palutena mimed for her to put it away.
"This isn't a highschool club in an anime, Marx, why are you here?" Palutena asked again.
"Okay so you called my bluff! Well, King Dedede entrusted Kirby to watch over me while he and Metaknight went out on a date, I guess he didn't want me getting into trouble or whatever. Anyways, the pink menace wanted to come here so naturally I was dragged along." Marx motioned towards the seat beside him where Kirby sat, currently drawing a picture with a crayon.
"Okay, but why are you in the mansion to begin with? Oh god you aren't joining the roster, are you?" Palutena asked with concern.
"Sadly no, but I will be part of a bonus round in the tournament! If you get lucky, you may get to fight me!"
"Hooray." Palutena remarked with zero enthusiasm.
Corrin stared at Marx, recognizing him from Kirby Superstar. Marx looked back and winked, nabbing Kirby's crayon with one of his talon-ed feet and materializing his own piece of paper, swiftly writing out an autograph which he then folded into a paper airplane and sent flying in Corrin's direction. She caught it, nodded, and held it close to her chest.
"I always love pleasing a fan," Marx said as Kirby took their crayon back.
"This is going to be a disaster," Palutena muttered. Just then someone new walked in.
"Greetings, peasants, princesses, and false gods. For those uneducated few, I am Ganondorf, prince of darkness. I want you all to know that while I hate all of you individually, I have the utmost respect for your sexual and romantic orientations, and for this night only I am at your service. For that you can thank that witch Zelda, wherever she may be... I shall be guarding the doors should any of you need me." And with that, Ganondorf exited the library and stood in front of its entrance.
"...Based Ganondorf?" Rosalina broke the silence after he left.
"...Based on what...?" Corrin asked, evidently not up to date on the lingo of the day.
"Just an expression, 'Rin. Means like, cool," Rosalina explained.
Corrin nodded. "...Snake is based." Rosalina grinned at this, and the man in question simply sighed.
"I don't like being the only adult here," Snake muttered.
Finally, Artemis and Lu entered the room.
"What's with that asshole outside? He tried to tell me that I didn't belong here," Artemis recounted, causing everyone else to grimace.
"Oh dear... He probably didn't know that you're trans... I'll go talk to him..." Palutena said with concern.
"Oh Lu already talked to him. With a sword. Dude's a pushover. I'm not too shook up about it, but next time you hire a bouncer make sure to inform him of who exactly he's supposed to be letting in."
"My apologies, I brought him. Link told me about a conversation they had with him the other day about lesbians, and I found it hysterical and figured it'd be funny to make him guard this place. I realize now that I should have talked to everyone beforehand," Sheik explained.
Slowly more people trickled in. There were the rest of last week's attendees (read: Samus), and some newcomers. Amongst the newcomers were Bayonetta, Dark Samus, a Piranha Plant, Byleth, and Richter Belmont, the last of which also had difficulty getting in. Isabelle stopped by to bring tea and cupcakes, but again couldn't stay. With that, it was now 6:00.
"Aight, so folks, as with last time we're going to go around the circle and state our names, pronouns, and anything else you'd like to add. This is for the sake of making everyone here feel comfortable, and get acustomed with one another, or whatever. I don't know if we need to do the full introductions everytime, but for now since there are some new faces who didn't make it last time I think it's a good idea." Palutena explained.
"I'll go first. I'm Palutena, she/her, and since last week I am now dating Robin."
Daisy sighed and dug out some coins from her purse which she promptly threw to Peach, Rosalina, and Sheik.
"I'm Robin, she/her, trans, and after years of fruitless pining Palutena finally actually noticed."
"Sheik or Zelda, he/they or she/they depending. Genderfluid, part ninja, part princess, all lesbian."
"I think you all know that I'm Peach, teehee~ She/her for me please~~"
"Daisy. She/he. We bet on whether Palutena and Robin would end up together by today and I'm very bitter about losing. Happy for you two tho!"
"Um, Snake, he/him, I don't really belong here and I'll leave if anyone is uncomfortable with me here, but these two insisted on me joining. Gay, if you're wondering."
"Rosalina, they/them. Me and 'Rin here have become best friends in the past week!"
Whispering could be heard between Peach, Daisy, and Zelda, presumably making another bet.
"...Corrin, I wasn't here formally last week though I was around. She/her for now, I'm still figuring things out. I'm not even sure if I'm a lesbian, so apologies if I don't fit here. As Rosalina said, we have become best friends, and as of today we have also befriended Snake."
"Marx, everyone's favorite jester! He/him, and sorry ladies but I am gay myself, and taken at that."
"Poyo!"
"Marx, can you make yourself useful and translate for Kirby?" Palutena asked with a sigh.
"Ahem, Kirby says that their name is Kirby, they/them, and that they're still figuring everything out. Also that Marx is the greatest."
"Samus, y'all know me, she/her, trans, single~"
"Bayonetta, she/her, trans, also single~"
Bayonetta and Samus made eye contact for a second, before quickly looking away. The two toughest people in the room both shifted into useless lesbian mode, their faces turning red.
Dark Samus was up, and started signing their introduction, which Sheik offered to interperet, having experience with Link.
"Dark Samus, they/it, dating the plant, her name is Audrey."
Audrey the Pirahna Plant nuzzled her head against Dark Samus cutely.
Byleth also signed, which Sheik again spoke.
"Byleth, she/her, trans."
"Uhm hi, I guess I'm up now. I'm Richter, and I think I might be a trans woman? I know, it probably sounds stupid, I'm this big muscled man, as masculine as can be, but... I've been starting to question that a lot lately. I don't know..."
Samus stood up. "Hey kid, I was in your position a long time ago. Don't let your current appearance stop you from being who you really are. It doesn't sound stupid, if you don't think you're a guy then you don't have to be. We're here for you."
Byleth placed a hand on Richter's shoulder and gave them a reassuring smile.
Rosalina grinned. "Yeah dude, you got this! I may look like a girl, but I know I'm not, and I stand my ground and don't let other people tell me who I am."
"Well, thank you for accepting me. I still have a lot to think about, and I don't know for sure yet if that really is what I am, but... Just amongst you folks, would you mind using she/her for me? And um, I especially would rather that Simon doesn't find out..." Richter gave a soft smile.
Snake and Richter were actually friends, occasionally going out drinking together, and he couldn't help but feel like he wasn't supposed to be hearing this, like he was invading her privacy. He shifted in his seat awkwardly, and Richter looked over at him.
"Snake um, I actually meant to tell you earlier but I couldn't find you. You're the only one of the guys here I really trust, ha. Um, you don't mind that I'm... Right?"
Snake shook his head. "Of course not. Honestly I was starting to worry just now that you didn't want me to know and that I wasn't supposed to hear that, but I'm glad to know that you trust me. And hey, I promise not to tell anyone until you're ready."
"I didn't know you two were friends, you should totally hang out with us sometime!" Rosalina said excitedly.
"I appreciate that, maybe I'll take you up on that. Um I'm sorry, you guys still need to give introductions, right? Sorry to take so long, I think I'm done." Richter looked to Lu and Artemis who were waiting patiently.
"Hey um, I'm Lu, you may recognize me better as Lucina. As you can see on my pin, I'm he/him right now, but it really fluctuates. I guess I'm genderfluid? Oh, and Artemis and I are also dating since last week."
"Artemis, or the artist formerly known as Dark Pit. She/her for me, and I'm trans obviously. Dating Lu as he already mentioned, he's really the best."
Palutena smiled. "Alright! Now that everyone has gone and we've met our coming out quota, it's time to...ask if anyone has any suggestions as to what we should do next."
"Are you going to ask then, or just say that you're going to ask?" Artemis asked her.
"I hate you, Artoo," Palutena responded with a frown.
Peach raised her hand. "Ooh, we should take a trip to buy some new clothes for Artemis, Lu, and Richter~~~"
"Why them in particular?" Palutena asked curiously.
"Because they're trans, you dolt, and they might like some new gender affirming clothes to where," Robin answered.
Artemis narrowed her eyes. "Only if we're going to Hot Topic..." This prompted a giggle from Lu.
"I don't think I'm ready to jump right in like that yet..." Richter muttered.
"Hey kid, I reckon you're around my size. You can come by my room and try on/borrow some of my clothes if you ever feel like it," Samus turned and said to Richter.
"Same here," Bayonetta added, before making eye contact with Samus again and going silent. Daisy saw this and turned to Sheik to make another bet.
"Maybe we can go next time, Peaches. Gives everyone time to prepare. Any other suggestions, that we can do here in the library?" Palutena asked everyone. She saw Rosalina start to raise a hand, and quickly added "And please no Kingdom Hearts!" to which the brought their hand back down.
"I think we should-" Marx started, only to be cut off by a death glare from the goddess.
"Poyo!" Kirby exclaimed. Marx looked to Palutena for permission to speak, and she nodded reluctantly.
"Kirby says that we should get into pairs and draw eachother. And also that Marx is the greatest-" another glare, "-Groucho Marx, that is. Haha."
"...I'm not good at drawing," Corrin said.
"Neither am I, that's the fun part! We can laugh at our own and eachother's art! It'll be a hoot!" Rosalina responded with a grin.
Corrin nodded. "...Very well, I suppose I don't mind then."
Palutena looked to Robin, who returned a shrug. Palutena shrugged back then faced the group. "Alright, sounds good to me. Everyone already in a relationship partner up, then I'll assign the rest."
Robin, Palutena, Artemis, Lu, Audrey, and Dark Samus all moved closer to their respective partners. Rosalina glanced at Corrin, but the look was not returned and neither moved.
"Aight, now all you single folks," Marx was about to say something, but thought better of it."The partners will go as follows:
Sheik and Byleth
Peach and Daisy
Rosalina and Corrin
Snake and Richter
Marx and Kirby
Samus and Bayonetta
Now, grab some paper and your writing implement of choice, and have at it! You're welcome to spread out more throughout the library, just stay with your partner, don't make a mess, and reconvene in the circle whenever I decide to call you all back."
With that, everyone dispersed and got to drawing.
"..."
"..."
Samus and Bayonetta were silent. They kept trying to study eachother's features, but everytime they made eye contact they went red and looked away. It made drawing eachother very difficult.
"...You have very pretty features," Bayonetta muttered, the silence killing her.
"...Hot," Samus blurted out without thinking.
"Mm thank you, darling," Bayonetta replied, trying to keep her cool.
"Aaah..." Samus failed to get out a coherent word.
"...So uh, may I see what you've drawn so far?" Bayo inquired.
"...I haven't drawn anything yet..." Samus admitted.
"...Me neither," Bayo said with a sigh.
"This is too easy, you're just a circle," Marx complained. Though in practice, he kept trying and failing to draw Kirby's face, paper covered in eraser shavings.
"Poyo!" Kirby said happily.
"What do you mean you're already done?! I call cheating!"
Snake was having a bit of trouble drawing Richter. He captured her likeness just fine, but had the dilemma as to whether he should draw her as she currently was, or try to make her look more feminine. Would that just be a mockery? Would the alternative be an upsetting reminder of how she looks? He looked at her and thought about it, before just settling on how she currently looks. Meanwhile her own drawing was just a glorified stick figure depiction of Snake.
"Hey Palutena, are we going to be sharing these with everyone, or just keeping it between us? I don't want to make this too risque if everyone is going to see it," Robin asked with a smirk.
"...I mean I was going to have us share them, but now I'm too curious what you're capable of..." Palutena said with a slight blush.
"Got it. I mean I already started going all out, but I would've started over if I had to."
"You're such a gremlin," Palutena said with a smile. "Now, do I keep doing what I'm doing, or should I try to outdo you..."
Artemis and Lu were getting really into their drawing, neither saying a word.
Rosalina was talking to Corrin about Kingdom Hearts once again as they drew. They had already finished going over all the games, but now they were going on about various fan theories and whatnot. Corrin was purposely taking more time than needed to draw, just so that she wouldn't have to stop listening to Rosalina.
Peach and Daisy were doing much more chatting than drawing.
"So, I noticed during your introduction, your pronouns... I'm surprised you didn't mention anything before, you know you don't have to hide anything."
Daisy shrugged. "I just kinda said that without thinking, I suppose it's something I should think about though. You know, I've been starting to realize lately that I don't really know who I am beyond superficial things."
"It's always important that you make sure to take the time to work on yourself, else it'll take a toll on your health."
"Yeah yeah, I don't want to talk about serious stuff right now though," Daisy complained.
Peach laughed. "How's your drawing coming along then? You better be properly capturing my cuteness~~~~"
"...I'm stuck on your hair."
"...Girl same."
Audrey the plant was surprisingly the best artist in the room. Dark Samus was possibly the worst. Wacky hijinks ensues.
Byleth suspected she was paired with Sheik because he knew sign language. She supposed that nobody else would have been able to communicate with her, besides Dark Samus who already had a partner. She didn't really care about who she was paired with, but overanalyzing allowed her to stall, because she really didn't want to draw. However, Sheik was hard at work, and she would feel bad if she didn't have something to show in return. It wasn't that Byleth was a poor artist, but she knew that once she started she wouldn't be able to stop until it was finished, which could be dangerous. So she reluctently set out to work, praying that her mind wouldn't insist on this being a compley piece. Sheik didn't say a word the whole time.
Eventually Palutena called everyone back over. Everyone took their place in the circle, except for Byleth.
"Alright, how are we doing this? I guess just exchange papers with your partner if you haven't already, and if you'd like you may share your drawing with everyone. Robin and I...will respectfully refrain from sharing our drawings with the rest of you."
Samus and Bayonetta smirked, exchanging blank pieces of paper. They had wound up spending most of the time making out.
Rosalina looked over Corrin's drawing in awe. "Dude, why did you say you were bad at drawing? This is amazing!"
"...I suppose I just lack faith in most things I do, tending to downplay my skill. I didn't intend to be deceitful," Corrin said with a slight frown.
"Hey don't worry about it, I wasn't just trying to call you out, I was complimenting you!"
"...Oh. Well, I appreciate it. Your drawing...is just as poor as you said beforehand, but I find it very endearing."
Rosalina grinned. "Well I find you very endearing, 'Rin. Must've channeled that into my work."
"...Are you flirting with me?" Corrin asked them.
"Um, no? Maybe a little?"
"...I see," Corrin looked away, the slightest blush forming.
Kirby held up their drawing for everyone to see. It was a cute crayon doodle of them and Marx holding hands.
Marx started to tear up. "It's...Beautiful," he remarked, amongst everyone else's simple 'Aww's.
Artemis and Lu exchanged drawings, and embraced eachother exchanging sweet words about how much they cherish the other.
Peach and Daisy laughed about how goofy their drawings had turned out, and were more than willing to share with the others.
Dark Samus proudly held up their drawing which was not at all recognizable. Nobody wanted to hurt their feelings though, and so most stayed silent while others halfheartedly clapped at the display. Audrey proceeded to hold up her own drawing, which garnered a legitamate applause from everybody.
"...How does the plant draw better than you?" Daisy whispered to Peach, who giggled in response.
"Hey kid, I hope this drawing is alright. I wasn't sure whether to draw you more femine or not, but I decided that it wasn't up to me to determine what you should look like. I can just throw it away if you're not comfortable with this though." Snake had pulled Richter aside to show her his rendition of her.
"Snake, it's totally fine. I didn't expect anyone to bother with anything like that, but I appreciate the concern. It came out great, way better than mine, haha," Richter proceeded to show her own sketch, which made Snake chuckle.
"Here I went putting so much thought behind my drawing, and then to find that you put no thought in at all," Snake teased.
"Hey, I put thought in! I had to decide whether to portray you smoking or not!" Richter retorted, to which they both laughed.
"...Hey Richter, there's something that's been on my mind since you came out," Snake hesitantly started talking again after a moment of quietness.
"Go on then, I trust you not to say anything too stupid."
Snake gave a nervous chuckle before continuing. "As you know, I'm gay. For the first time in 20 years I'm questioning that however. You and I have gotten pretty close over the past few years, at least closer than I've gotten to anyone else here. It's been nice being your friend, but I've begun longing for more. Okay let me cut the poetic crap, I fell in love with you. When you came out, I figured those feelings would go away, because obviously if I'm only attracted to men and you're not a man then I shouldn't be interested in you. For some reason only Palutena knows, that isn't the case. I'm still in love with you, Richter. Maybe I'm actually bi or pan or demi or what have you and I just didn't realize it, I don't know. Um, I don't expect you to feel the same, I just had to get it off my chest. I never could tell which way you swing, and I know it can feel dysphoric dating someone who previously identified as gay."
Richter thought about this all for a moment. "I've always just been attracted to women, but I can't deny that I love you as well. However, I would like to figure myself out more before I commit to an actual relationship."
"Totally understand, I get it. Hey, I've never told anyone this before, but I'm trans myself. So if you ever need advice or to confide in someone, I'm here for you. I've been through it all before."
"That actually makes sense...Wait, how does that work with you being a clone?"
Snake laughed. "You'll understand in time."
Sheik made his way back to Byleth after everyone who was willing to share shared their drawings. Byleth was still hard at work. "Hey, you good?" he asked her, taking a seat across the table.
Byleth put down her pencil in order to sign. "Some things like drawing, once I start I can't stop until completion. It is an unfortunate compulsion."
Sheik watched as she got right back to work after that. "I see. Everyone will probably be leaving soon, but I shall stay and keep you company until you are finished."
Byleth smiled in appreciation, and nodded, eyes never leaving the paper.
Eventually the only ones left in the library were the above two, as well as Corrin and Rosalina who insisted on cleaning up.
Once they were more or less alone, Rosalina turned to Corrin.
"Hey um... Earlier I overheard Daisy talking about betting on you and me, about when we'll start dating..."
"...That's none of his concern," Corrin said with a slight frown.
"Yeah but... You aren't actually interested in dating me, are you 'Rin?" Rosalina asked nervously.
"...Not if you're not interested," Corrin told them, face beginning to turn pink.
"I...never said that I wasn't interested..." Rosalina looked away with embarassment.
"...You were so quick to tell Snake that we weren't dating earlier so I figured that you weren't interested. If you are, then I will admit that the thought had crossed my mind... It was a pleasant thought."
Rosalina then turned back towards her. "Corrin... Will you be my girlfriend? I promise not to let you down like Peach, and I promise to respect your boundries and ensure your comfort."
"...What would we do while dating that we can't already do as friends? I've already mentioned that I'm ace, and with that I am wholely uncomfortable with anything sexual... Besides that, what do partners do? I don't see why we can't already go on typical dates and whatnot."
Rosalina was silent for a moment. "...I want to kiss you. And cuddle you. And just knowing that we're together will make me feel closer and happier even if we just do the regular stuff. I want to compliment you and tell you how cute you are, or how pretty your eyes look. I want to be able to tell people that I have an awesome girlfriend and then gush about what makes you so awesome. I want to call eachother cute pet names. And... I want someone to tell me that they love me."
Corrin gave a much longer silence as she thought about it all. "...Very well. Rosalina, I would be honored to be your girlfriend."
With that, Rosalina grinned and pulled her into a big hug.
"Yayyy!" Rosalina said excitedly. Corrin smiled and leaned into Rosalina, resting her head on their shoulder.
"...Your hair is really cute and soft, and it's really cute how excited you get sometimes. You make me happier than anyone has before, and I enjoy every second that we spend together. You have the most pleasing voice, and I love listening to you talk for hours on end."
Rosalina blushed at all the compliments. "'Rin, you're too sweet..."
Finally Byleth put down her pencil and held up her drawing.
"Done?" Sheik asked, looking at her. Byleth nodded with a cute satisfied smile and turned the paper towards Sheik, whose eyes lit up. "... You know, somehow I forgot that you were drawing me. I think you did a lovely job, and I'm honored that you spent so much time on me."
"Would you like to keep it? I'm honestly sick of looking at it," Byleth signed.
Sheik chuckled and nodded. "I shall make sure that nothing happens to it."
With that, the last four made their ways out of the library.
Palutena laid beside Robin in bed, the two holding hands. They were watching yet another movie that Robin recommended. It was called Trumbo, a historical piece from a world with completely different history from either of the girls', thus it might as well have been fiction. Still, it was good, and starred the guy from Breaking Bad which the two had watched together recently.
"You know, this is good, but next time we should watch something more romantic," Palutena said, looking over at the other.
"I dunno, I have enough exposure to romance in my life as it is," Robin said with a smile.
"... That reminds me, I'm still curious, who was the last person you kissed before me? You sounded grossed out when you remembered who she was, and it seems like there's a fun story there."
Robin laughed. "First off, it was actually a he. There was a time long ago when I thought I was gay. I mean, before I knew I was trans, so like I was dating guys and whatnot. It was funnily enough Chrom, Lucina's dad, who I had last kissed. Nothing against the guy, we're still good friends, but it's weird to think back on. And I came out while I was dating him, so we broke up since he's of course gay. And from there, well, nobody wanted me after I came out, or maybe I just didn't want anyone. But now I have you, and I couldn't be happier."
"Huh, neat. So I'm the first girl you've been with? I feel special~"
Robin giggled and moved in to kiss her. "...I may have slept with a couple girls here and there out of loneliness, but you're the only one I've dated or kissed."
"Oh wow, you should show me what you learned from sleeping with those other girls~" Palutena said with a wink, moving closer to Robin.
Robin's face was immediately all red. "...shut up and watch the movie. Maybe after..."
Artemis and Lu laid together, chatting about this or that.
"So, I didn't want to say it down there, but I couldn't help but notice that in your picture you drew me... More well-endowed than in actuality," Artemis remarked, to which Lu blushed.
"I know you're not that happy with your body, so I thought you might appreciate that. Was it insensitive?"
"No no, I don't mind, I just wasn't expecting it. I really do need to work on my body though... I'd love to start hrt, but I don't know how to go about starting that in this interdimensional crossroads we live in. Hm I'll have to talk to Robin sometime."
Lu just nodded and held her close. "I know I keep saying it, but I like to remind you that I, for one, love you no matter what, so just make sure that you want to do it for yourself and not just for me. I already have the most beautiful girl right here and I don't need any further convincing.
Artemis smiled and kissed his cheek. "I love you... But yes I know, I do really want this for myself."
Corrin sat in Rosalina's bed playing Kingdom Hearts 2, with them guiding them along and taking the controller whenever she needed help. Rosalina currently had their head resting on her shoulder and an arm wrapped around her as they watched. They were both happy and as always enjoying their time together.
Ganondorf continued to stand guard outside of the library, as nobody told him he could go yet.

Chapter Text
Lu sat across from Robin, it was just the two of them.
"Hey Robin?"
"What's on your mind, Lu?"
Lu shifted in their seat nervously, trying to think about how to breach the subject. "When you came out as trans, did you use any sort of magic to help you transition?"
Robin wasn't expecting that topic at all. "Uh. No, I didn't." She let out a laugh, "If I went through the effort of using magic, surely I would've given myself bigger tits."
Lu blushed at that answer. "I see..."
"Ahem, but yeah, why were you wondering? Were you looking into magically transitioning?"
"Ah no. It's Artemis, she keeps insisting that she doesn't have a women's body, and she's ashamed of it. I think she has a beautiful body, and I always tell her such, but she doesn't believe it. I just feel bad, and I want to help..."
Robin sighed. "Yeah, that's typical unfortunately. I'll look into the magic process and see if it's viable. You should talk to her about it and see if she would actually be interested in something like that."
Lu nodded. "I will talk to her."
Robin smirked. "And Lu? If you're going to be admiring her body, make sure to use protection."
Lu turned red and ran out of the room, while Robin sat there laughing.
Richter knocked on Samus' door hesitently. She decided to take her up on her offer to try on some more feminine clothes.
"Yo, who is it?" a voice called out from behind the door.
"It's um, Richter..."
Without delay, the door swung open to reveal Samus standing there with a grin. "Hey girl, come on in!" She didn't wait for a reaction as she grabbed Richter's wrist and pulled her inside.
Lu returned to Artemis' room, which by now had become their joint room.
"Welcome back my dear, what's up?" the angel greeted, pausing her game.
"Okay so I was thinking about how unhappy you always seem about your body, and I wanted to figure out a way to help you, and the idea of using magic to transform your body came to mind, so I asked Robin if she had any experience with it, she said no, but she'd look into it, and I wanted to talk to you to see if you would be interested in such a solution."
"Lu, breathe."
Lu took a deep breath. "So, what do you think?"
Artemis pondered this for a moment. "I wouldn't be opposed to it. Depends on how much effort it'd take to pull it off, I don't want to be a burden."
"Don't worry about that, you're never a burden. The most complicated spells are worth it for the sake of your safety. I mean I'm not the one doing the magic so it's not really my place to determine that, but still. Robin is more than willing to help you."
Artemis sighed. "Well then yes, I am definitely interested. I...really don't like my body. I don't like looking identical to Pit, I don't like looking so young, I don't like my lack of any discernable feminine features, I want curves, I want breasts, I don't want this thing between my legs... I know, I shouldn't think like this, it's not like I care if other girls are like this, they're all beautiful, but when it comes to me I just can't help but think about how wrong my body is, no matter what you say even."
Lu moved in to pull Artemis into a big hug. "Babe... I didn't realize just how bad it was, I'm so sorry..."
"Don't be sorry, it's not your fault. And...you probably have your own problems with this stuff I'm sure..."
Lu felt guilty at that. "I don't actually mind my body... I don't mean to rub it in. At least that means that you don't have to worry about me."
"I don't want you to have to worry about me either, although on that note I know that you're going to worry about me regardless."
Lu smiled. "You're right about that. Hey, we're here for eachother, I'd expect you to worry about me too. I'm going to help you get through this."
Robin was going through some old books, trying to find a viable, reliable, permanent spell for altering the body. She wasn't having much luck. Then it hit her that she was dating an all powerful god with magic beyond her comprehension. Surely Palutena could do this easily.
"Heyyy Palutena?" Robin greeted(?) as she entered their shared bedroom.
"What did you do this time?" Palutena asked with a sigh as she put down the magazine she wasreading and pushed up her reading glasses.
"I didn't do anything! Um, your kid is having body issues and Lu wanted me to use magic to help with it, and I thought it might be easier if you used your own superior magic."
"Goddamnit Artemis, she should have told me about this," Palutena said with another sigh. "Yeah I can probably help, go bring the kids here so we can talk about the specifics."
Robin nodded and pulled out her phone.
Robin: Come hither, children
Lu: were the same age
Artemis: I'm older than you
Robin: Silence children, come hither now.
Lu: where even are you?
Robin: My room
Artemis: Inviting us to your room? Scandalous.
Robin: COME HITHER OR ELSE
With that, she put her phone away and took a seat beside Palutena on the bed.
"Knock knock," Artemis said from outside the door.
"Come on in," Robin said back. In came Artemis and Lu. She turned towards the latter. "Did you get the chance to talk about it?"
Lu nodded. Artemis looked to Robin and spoke. "We did in fact talk. I am definitely interested, as long as it's not too much trouble. I...don't know how much longer I can handle living with this body."
Robin nodded. "It is too much trouble, for me at least. However we have a goddess here infinitely more powerful than me who has agreed to help."
Palutena sat up, having been laying down the whole time. "Yup, Palutena is here to save the day. Now, tell me exactly what you'd like."
"Well um," Artemis blushed thinking about what her ideal body entailed. She couldn't help but feel like a pervert for imagining and requesting a girl's body. Was it too late to back out? Yes, she wouldn't allow that. "...I want a more traditionally feminine body, like yours. Not exactly like yours, but like somewhere right in the middle between you and Robin. Um, if you could maybe make my face look...less identical to Pit's, I don't know exactly what I want different... The most important thing, this is really embarassing, can you change um, down there?"
Palutena laughed. "You think this is embarassing? I'm the one who has to picture more about my kid than I ever wanted to. But I promised that I would do anything I can to make you comfortable, so the awkwardness doesn't matter, we can laugh about this later. Now, I'm starting to worry about Lu, they look like a tomato. Hey Lu, you better not be imagining anything lewd about my daughter."
Artemis laughed as Lu went running out the door.
"Robin, go fetch my staff darling," Palutena requested, to which Robin ran over to the other side of the room to retrieve it.
"Alright, Artoo are you ready for me to work my magic?"
"Ready as I'll ever be," the angel replied, closing her eyes as she braced herself for the transformation.
Palutena held her staff, and within seconds the spell was cast. "'kay, you can open your eyes now."
"Already?" Artemis asked in disbelief. She slowly opened her eyes and walked over to a mirror in the room to gaze upon her new form; it was exactly as she requested. She immediately burst into tears and ran back to hug the goddess. "...thank you so much..." She couldn't manage to say more than that. Robin soon joined the hug.
"Remember that Palutena is here for you, you can always talk to her about your problems," Robin told her.
After a bit, Artemis left the room. Lu was waiting right outside and smiled warmly. "What do you think?" Artemis found herself asking.
"I already told you that you're beautiful no matter how you look, so of course I like it. The fact that it makes you happy makes me especially happy."
Artemis smiled and hugged them. "Let's get back to the room, I want to look at it more closely. You know it seems like it should take some getting used to, suddenly being in a new body, but I feel plenty comfortable like this."
The two walked back to their room. As soon as she shut the door, Artemis ripped off her shirt and stood in front of the mirror. Lu blushed and quickly looked away, before slowly looking back at her.
"It feels good, not being scared to see myself like this, not being ashamed to be seen like this. Yet... I can't help but feel like I cheated, taking the easy way out when so many other trans people don't have the luxury of magic. I feel fake. I feel like I don't deserve this."
Lu wrapped their arms around Artemis, and kissed her on the cheek. "Artemis... You do deserve this. Don't compare yourself to others right now. Let yourself be happy."
Artemis sighed, before giving in and smiling. "I love you, Lu. I can't stay upset with you here."
Lu smiled, and blushed upon realizing that they were pressed against her chest. They quickly let go and looked away. "I may love you no matter what you look like, but I have to admit...boobs are my weakness..."
Artemis laughed hard at that. "Palutena would kill you if she knew you said that to me."
Lu frowned. "Sorry, was that too inappropriate?"
Artemis chuckled. "Not at all babe. I for one appreciate it. You know Palutena is always joking, right? She doesn't actually give a shit what we do together, and she likely assumes that we've done much worse than we actually have."
"Oh... I know she and Robin like to tease, but I thought she was seriously over protective. Um, in that case... Now that you're more comfortable with yourself, would you maybe like to...sometime...do more?"
Artemis blushed. "It really surprises me how forward you can be. But to answer your question...yes I would like to, very much so. Sometime I mean, not right now... Unless?"
Snake sat in his room, exhausted after a long day, until he heard a knock at his door. "Who is it?" he grumbled, not really in the mood for visitors.
"Um, it's Richter."
Well this particular visitor was one that Snake wouldn't dare turn away. He got up, rushing to open the door, and was surprised by what he saw. There was Richter, clad in a simple yet beautiful blue dress, sleeveless and low cut.
She stood there awkwardly as Snake stared. "So... What do you think?" she finally asked.
"You look stunning," Snake remarked.
Richter smiled. "Samus gave it to me and suggested that I should show you. I don't think I'm ready to dress like this in front of anyone else yet, but I trust you at least."
"I feel like a lucky man, being the first to see such a pretty sight," Snake said with a smirk.
"I mean, Samus was really the first, and she went so far as to call me hot. I think you have some competition."
Snake laughed. "Samus and I agreed long ago that we wouldn't compete with eachother in anything, we get too into it."
"Well fine, I guess that makes her the de facto winner then. I'll be sure to invite you to the wedding."
"Oof, you're so mean."
The two went back and forth for a couple minutes, before Richter checked the time and sighed. "I need to get going unfortunately, gotta change back, and then I agreed to go golfing with Simon. I'll see you later, Snake."
Snake frowned slightly, but nodded. "See ya later kid. Have fun with the old man."
Richter turned to leave, then stopped. She looked to Snake, and with out thinking planted a kiss on his cheek. Then she finally left, leaving Snake there, frozen.
"Hey Robin?" Palutena asked, laying down next to her girlfriend.
"Yeah?"
"Do you want me to um, use that magic on you sometime?"
Robin shook her head. "I appreciate it, Pals, but I'm fine with my body. I would've jumped at the chance years ago, but at this point I really don't care enough to change."
Palutena nodded. "Gotcha, just wanted to make sure. I don't recall ever hearing you talk one way or another about whether you're comfortable with your body in the time I've known you. I've never thought to ask. I've never thought to ask Artoo either, and I realize that I should have. Robin, if you're ever uncomfortable with something, if there's ever anything troubling you, I'm here for you. Please don't be afraid to talk to me. I love you, and I love the kids, I don't want anyone to be unhappy."
Robin pulled her into a tight hug. "Oh Palutena, you're too good for this world. Remember that the same goes for you, I'm here for you babe."
Notes:
Please leave comments, people. I can see that people are clicking on the story, but I have no idea how many people are actively keeping up with it. My ego doesn't like it when I can't tell if people are reading my shit! And on top of just knowing that people are reading, feedback would also be nice, I wanna know what I'm doing right and what I'm doing wrong.

Chapter Text
{"...Remember the time that I spilled the cup/ of apple juice/ in the hall..."}
"This song is totally relatable."
"I don't think you get the song, Pit."
"What's there to get?"
"...The song is supposed to represent a suicide note."
"Wait, he killed himself because he felt bad about spilling his juice?"
"The juice is NOT the point of the song!"
Lu was away, Chrom had dragged them out for some family bonding crap. This left Artemis alone, who decided to spend some time with her brother (or whatever Pit was to her). Currently the two were just chillaxing, with Artemis putting on some of her favorite songs. Above you can see Pit in the process of ruining the only good Blink-182 song for her.
"You're ruining the only good Blink-182 song for me," Artemis remarked.
"It's not the only good one, I like 'All the Small Things,'" Pit responded with a shrug.
"...Yes, of course you'd like that trite."
"If 'trite' means 'good song' then yes."
Artemis sighed, but couldn't help but smile. Pit was endearing as always.
"Oh hey, what's this club that I keep hearing Lady Palutena mention? She won't tell me anything about it."
"Haven't you sean the signs-" Artemis trailed off, remembering that Pit couldn't read. "Um, it's a club that Palutena created for all the lesbians here to get together."
Pit smiled. "Oh, cool! What's a lesbian?"
Artemis laughed. "It's like, girls who are attracted to other girls. But it's more nuanced than that, like Lu isn't a girl but we're both lesbians and dating eachother. It's girls who like girls, and sometimes nonbinary people describe themselves as such when it's just the term they're most comfortable using. Does that make any sense?"
"Um yeah, I think I get it. So not a club I can join, I take it," Pit sounded almost disappointed.
"Correct. But hey, why don't you make your own club that does apply to you?"
These words were the seed that would soon enough blossom into the Ace Club, which did not in fact have anything to do with cards. From there, more clubs would form inspired by Palutena's. But that's a story for another day.
Rosalina and Corrin woke up for the first time in the same bed. Corrin was right, Rosalina found it to be much more comfortable than the floor. They both managed to wake up at roughly the same time, which meant that they didn't have to deal with the awkwardness of waiting for the other to awakeen, or waking eachother up.
"Goood morning, 'Rin," Rosalina greeted, looking into their girlfriend's eyes. It felt so unreal calling Corrin their girlfriend, but here they were.
"Good morning Rosalina," Corrin greeted back, before letting out a cute yawn.
The two were wrapped up in eachother's embrace, seemingly having held onto eachother all throughout the night. Corrin had realized quickly after they started dating that she very much enjoyed physical affection, and from there you could almost always find the pair engaged in a hug.
"What are we doing today?" Rosalina asked, as if they didn't do the same thing every day.
"Library," Corrin mumbled simply. She let go of Rosalina and sat up in the bed, stretching her arms.
Lu sat beside Chrom, at the edge of a lake. They were out fishing, which Lu found dreadfully boring. Chrom had good intentions, fishing was supposed to be one of the quintessential father-son bonding activities and he wanted to be supportive of his child. He was having much more fun than they were, though Lu didn't want to reveal their boredom and ruin it for him.
"So, I hear that you're dating Dark Pit now, how's that going?" Chrom asked, trying to make conversation.
"Oh um, her name is Artemis now," Lu said, caught off guard. "It's going well, I... really love her."
Chrom chuckled. "Ah, to be young and in love again..."
"Dad, we're the same age. Speaking of which, how is uh, baby-me doing?"
"Oh, little Lucy is doing just fine. Frederick is watching her right now." Frederick was Chrom's top knight. It was painfully obvious that the two were dating, though they would both forever deny it.
"Robiiinnn," Palutena whined, still laying in bed.
"What do you waant?" Robin asked from the other side of the room, pausing her game.
"I'm hungry, but I don't want to get uuup. Can you bring me breakfast?"
"Just magic yourself some food."
"Too much effort!"
Robin sighed. "Isn't this kind of stuff that you have Pit for?"
Palutena sighed back. "Pit is hanging out with Artoo, I don't wanna disturb them."
"Yet you're fine disturbing me?"
"Sibling bonding is more important than your... what is that, Final Fantasy 7?"
Robin stood up. "Hey, this is absolutely important!"
"Fine, but the blood will be on your hands when your poor wife inevitably starves to death."
"One, you are immortal and incapible of starving to death. Two, I'd imagine starving to death would be mostly bloodless, so my hands would be clean. Three, we are not married. Dare I add four, you aren't poor?"
"Robin please, I'm begging you," Palutena continued to plead.
"I refuse to give in at this point, you won't defeat me."
Palutena gave an exaggerated groan, and grabbed her phone. "Heyyyy Snake..."
"How did you get this number?" Snake's voice asked, before hanging up.
"Why does nobody love me?" Palutena fake cried.
Robin rolled her eyes. "Everyone loves you, idiot. At least I do, anyway. You just need to accept that I can be just as lazy as you. And also that Snake is scared of you."
Just then, Palutena's phone rang.
"Hello?"
{"Palutena, I'm trying to sleep and your kids are blasting My Chemical Romance's The Black Parade at full volume."}
"Sorry, who is this?"
{"It's Falco! Don't pretend that I'm not in your contacts!"}
"Hmm... Do I know a Falco? You're the guy who I let borrow my Attack of the Clones DVD back in college, right? I'm still waiting for that back."
{"What the fuck are you on about? Just come shut up your kids for the love of god, PLEASE."}
"Hey, it's not my fault they have good taste in music! Oh wait, yes it is. Fine, I'll help, but only if you bring me breakfast first."
{"Fucking hell..."}
Artemis and Pit laughed hard as they listened to Falco nextdoor swearing up a storm.
"He's so much fun to mess with," Artemis told her brother.
"Is anyone else bothered by it, or just Falco?"
"The beautiful thing is that the other surrounding rooms belong to early risers, Falco is the only one still in his room at this hour. And he'll never actually do anything about the noise lest he face the wrath of Palutena!"
"Do you ever feel bad about bothering him though?"
Artemis scoffed. "Nah, Falco's a homophobe, he doesn't deserve to sleep in."
Falco knocked on Palutena's door. "I have your goddamn breakfast."
"Oh my gosh he actually did it," Robin whispered, unable to contain her laughter.
"Come in, come in," Palutena shouted to him. Falco opened the door and brought in a tray of breakfast (The author cannot be bothered to describe what the breakfast entails).
"Here, now go silence those little assholes."
"Thanks for the breakfast. Anyways, you're already up now so no sense in going back to sleep, thus the noise shouldn't be an issue. Ta ta for now." With that, Palutena motioned to shoo him away.
"I hate you all," the bird announced before leaving.
"...So then Zero is like, 'WHAT AM I FIGHTING FOR?!' and the voice acting is hilariously bad that it totally ruins the otherwise emotional scene."
As it turns out, Rosalina was a fan of Mega Man X in addition to Kingdom Hearts. Corrin wanted nothing more than to listen to them talk about their passions, so here they were.
"Pichu Pi!" exclaimed Pichu, who was nestled in Rosalina's hair and listening along.
"Seems like you are the Poke-mom now," Corrin pointed out.
"Oh please, I'm already the mom to the Lumas, I can't also be the Poke-mom!"
Corrin laughed at that. "You know, I think it would be cute to see Pichu and the Lumas play together sometime."
Rosalina squealed. "Oh my gosh 'Rin, that would be so cute, we have to arrange it sometime! I bet Pichu gets lonely, being younger and smaller than the other Pokemon here, she could use some friends!"
Corrin smiled. "We can discuss it more later."
"You just want me to get back to talking about my games?" Rosalina asked, to which Corrin nodded.
Hours passed, awkward small talk was had, and neither Lu nor Chrom had caught any fish.
"Hey Lu, can I be honest with you?" Chrom turned and asked his daughter.
"Have you not been honest already?" Lu asked.
Chrom laughed. "Look, it's been nice spending time with you, but this... Fishing is actually super boring I'm realizing."
Lu's turn to laugh. "Let's get out of here then. I've been bored this whole time, but I didn't want to ruin it for you."
"Oh thank goodness," Chrom said, getting up and tossing his fishing rod in the water.
"Why did you do that?" Lu asked, amused.
"I don't plan on ever using the damn thing again."
Lu shrugged and tossed their own rod. "So uh, what now?"
Chrom had a dastardly grin as he walked up to Lu and pushed them into the lake. He then jumped in himself.
Lu surfaced and looked around with a puzzled expression. "Dad... There are no fish in this lake."
"Oh."

Chapter Text
"Hey Palutena?"
"Go to sleep, Robin."
It was a typical night for those two, with Palutena trying to sleep, and Robin trying to talk about whatever random thoughts came to mind.
Robin pulled Palutena into a hug, taking the goddess by surprise. "I'll be quick. I was just thinking, I'm so happy to have you. The thought of being gay and having a loving girlfriend just makes me want to smile."
Palutena smiled and kissed her cheek. "You're adorable, really."
"I know this is all stuff I've said before, but I just really wanted to say it again. I love you so fucking much, Palutena." Robin nuzzled her face in Palutena's neck as she hugged her tighter. "I don't ever want to let go."
"...I don't ever want to let go," Corrin said as she held Rosalina close.
"Well that's fine, I don't want you to let go anyways."
"You make me feel warm and safe, it's quite pleasant," Corrin added, closing her eyes as she continued to hug her partner.
"Same, girl, same."
"Y'all are too cute," emerged a voice from a shadowy corner of the library. Out stepped Wolf, arms crossed and smirking.
"Good evening, O'Donnell," Rosalina greeted, shifting to a more formal demeanor.
"Good evening yourself, Princess. When were you plannin' on introducing me to your lady friend here?"
Rosalina let go of Corrin. "This is Corrin. Corrin, this is Wolf O'Donnell, an aquaintance of mine from the past."
Corrin looked him over. She was of course aware of him, just as much as she was aware of all the other fighters, though she had never actually come face to face with him. He had a threatening look to him despite his seemingly laid back demeanor, and she didn't expect him to be friends with Rosalina. "It's nice to meet you, Wolf," she said simply.
"I'm sure the Princess has told you all about me, huh?" he asked, grinning.
"Sorry, I never thought to bring you up," Rosalina said flatly.
"How exactly do you two know eachother?" Corrin asked curiously.
Wolf laughed. "Everyone in space knows eachother, didn't you know?"
Corrin looked surprised, though Rosalina shook their head. "That's not actually true. No, it was a chance encounter, he happened across my Observatory once and immediately started hitting on me-"
"Can't blame a guy for trying," Wolf said with a nervous chuckle.
"-And kept at it every time we ran into eachother afterwards," Rosalina finished. Corrin looked appalled.
Wolf sighed. "I er, actually came here to apologize for all that. I've started seeing someone myself, and he's been helping me to turn over a new leaf, encouraging me to make ammends and all that. I don't mean that I'm only doing it for him, he's actually helped me recognize the error of my ways, and I actually want to be better. I don't neccesarily expect you to forgive me, but I'd like to be your friend."
Corrin looked to Rosalina, curious as to how they would react. Rosalina found themself smiling. "Eh, why not? I could use more friends. May I ask who this mystery man who changed your life is?"
Wolf looked around to see if anyone else was listening. "It's Fox, but please don't tell anybody."
"Aren't you two supposed to be enemies...?" Corrin asked.
"Yeah, well, things have changed," Wolf answered, clearly embarassed.
"There you are! Come on Wolf, it's getting late!" Fox had entered the library, and was now dragging Wolf out by the arm.
"See you Space Princess," Wolf said in valediction as he left with his partner.
"I suppose we should get going for the night too?" Rosalina asked, to which Corrin nodded.
"Guess who's hoooome- oh hai Pit"
Lu burst through the door of her and Artemis' room, not expecting the visitor.
"Oh hey Lu! I was just leaving," Pit told her in a tone that implied that he was not in fact already planning on leaving. Before anyone could react, he scurried out of the room.
Artemis smiled. "Hey babe, how was your family outing?"
Lu shuddered and started ditching her clothes, still wet from the lake. "If masculinity means ever having to pick up a fishing rod again, then I reject it."
Artemis laughed. "What a story, Lu!"
The day before Lu went away, the couple watched the film known as The Room at Robin and Palutena's insistence. They would likely continue to reference it in their dialogue for the forseeable future.
"But seriously, how bad was it?" Artoo asked after they had both stopped laughing.
"It was terribly boring, and neither of us really knew what to talk about. Then we both admitted that we were bored, and dad pushed me into the lake to be funny I guess. And it was funny, until it was cold. And the worst thing, at the end of it all I came to realize that the lake had no fish in it in the first place, somehow he found the worst possible spot for fishing! I love my dad, but I'm not spending the day alone with him again anytime soon."
Artemis grabbed her arm and pulled her down onto the bed beside her. "I'm sorry that it didn't go well, but at least you're back here now with me."
Lu smiled and kissed her cheek. "So, what did you and Pit do today? Sorry if me being here has prevented you two from hanging out lately."
Artemis shook her head. "Don't worry about it. Unlike us, Pit has plenty of other friends to keep him company, that little social butterfly bastard. Anyways, we pretty much just relaxed and listened to music, and chatted with eachother plenty too."
"Well that sounds nice. Oh by the way, did you know that Fox and Wolf are dating? I passed by them in the hall."
Artemis laughed. "No I didn't know that. Damn, poor Fox having to put up with that."
"Hey Palutena?"
"Robin. I have been trying to sleep for the past three hours. What do you want now?"
"...What will you do when you inevitably outlive me?"
Palutena froze. "Erm, what?"
Robin sighed. "You are immortal, I'm not. I will eventually die, you won't. What will you do then?"
"I've been thinking about that everyday since we started dating. I don't know what I'll do, honestly."
"...I won't be mad if you end up finding someone new afterwards, I just want you to be happy."
Palutena frowned. "You shouldn't be thinking about this stuff."
"Is it true that as you get older you percieve time quicker? In that regard, will your time with me end up feeling insignificant? Do you think you'll eventually forget about me?"
"Robin, please stop. Why are you asking this stuff?"
"I've just been thinking about death and mortality a lot lately. It plagues my dreams. I'm depressed, but you must be infinitely more so, knowing that you will outlive any partners you might have, and friends for that matter. Life is cruel."
Palutena started crying, and held Robin close. "I don't want to think about this right now. I don't want to lose you, I don't want to think about losing you. Goddamnit you're right, I will outlive everyone I love, and there's nothing I can do about it, and I am depressed about it. I outlived my first girlfriend. I said that you were my first, but I lied because I thought it would be too sad to bring up. But let me tell you, hundreds of years later I still haven't forgotten her, and I will never forget about you."
Robin went silent and held onto Palutena as the goddess sobbed. "I'm...sorry."
"I just wanted to sleep..."
"We can sleep now. I'm really sorry."
"I'm sorry that you had to fall in love with me, you deserve someone who you can happily live a full life with, and never have to worry about this."
Richter Belmont was once again knocking at Snake's door. The man got up to open the door, looking disheveled and tired.
"Oh hey Richter, what's up? You don't usually come by this late, not that I'm complaining."
Richter gave a weak smile, obviously looking distraught. "Hey Snake. Um, I was hoping to maybe come in and have a drink, but if you were already going to sleep then I can leave..."
"No no, please come in," Snake said, standing back and motioning for her to enter. She did, and took a seat in her favorite of Snake's chairs.
"It's been a long day..." Richter muttered as Snake handed her a drink.
"Wanna talk about it?" Snake asked, taking his own seat.
"I never knew my father. Coming here, I found myself projecting the role onto Simon. We've been bonding and whatnot, and I've confided in him. He's of course from an older generation, and is a bit painfully oldfashioned, but I thought he was getting better..."
Snake shook his head. "I see where this is going. I'm sorry, Richter..."
"I came out to him, and he said I was tarnishing the family name and legacy."
"Want me to beat some sense into the old man?" Snake asked, which got a laugh out of Richter.
"Really, it's fine. I'll be fine. I just need some help forgetting about it right now."
"Of course, I'm here for you."
And so, Richter and Snake drank the night away and had a good time.

Chapter Text
RIchter woke up in Snake's embrace. She looked at his still sleeping face and smiled. She couldn't remember everything that happened last night, but the important thing was that she had a good friend to support her. She continued to lay there, not in any hurry to get up, and she figured she'd just wait till Snake awoke.
"Corrin, I'm really tired. I don't think we should've stayed up all night again. Do you mind if I just kinda sleep for a little while instead of going to the library?"
"...Right now I would rather stay with you than worry about the library."
Rosalina grinned. "That's such a sweet thing to say, thank you 'Rin."
Corrin smiled back. "As your girlfriend, I believe it is my job to make you my first priority."
Rosalina giggled. "It still doesn't feel real, I can't believe that you're my girlfriend."
"Just go to sleep, silly."
Fox McCloud laid in bed, reading a magazine. He tended to wake up early, and was currently waiting patiently for his partner to wake up. Then, suddenly, he had an arm in his face as Wolf gave an exaggerated yawn and stretched obnoxiously.
"Good morning, Wolf," Fox greeted calmly.
"Hellooo beautiful~" Wolf greeted back with a toothy grin. "Whatcha readin'?"
"Nintendo Power, from a parallel universe where it's still ongoing."
"Sounds like some real nerd crap."
"Thanks a lot."
"I love my little nerd~" Wolf said as he leaned in to give his partner a kiss.
"I love you too, Wolf," Fox said, eyes never leaving the page.
Lu and Artemis walked down to the dining hall, freezing as soon as they entered. They both blushed as they set eyes on the most beautiful being either of them had ever seen. There sat an androgynous person with a striking red helmet, brown hair peaking out around the edges. They had large styilish sunglasses obscuring the top of their gorgeous pale face. Below that was a long yellow scarf, followed by sleek grey armour with red accents that covered their body.
"'Sup?" asked the person who had apparently caught the two staring.
"Oh hey guys!" greeted Pit who happened to be sitting across the table. "This is Megaman's older sibling, Blues! He invited them to visit for a while! They're really cool!"
"...Hi," was all Lu could muster up, Artemis gave a meek wave.
Pit continued. "Blues, this is my sister Artemis, and her partner Lu! They're both trans, like you!"
Blues chuckled. "It's a pleasure to meet you both." Their voice was angelic, somehow moreso than the actual angels in the room.
"...Hi," Lu repeated, Artemis remained silent.
"It would seem that my charm is too much for them to process," Blues joked.
"It's impolite to not greet someone back," Palutena whispered, sneaking up from behind Artemis. She then turned to Blues. "I apologize on behalf of these two dorks, they don't do well when meeting cute people for the first time."
"Don't worry about it, I'm flattered."
Palutena smiled. "So, how long did it take for Pit to latch on to you after you arrived?"
Blues laughed. "Exactly one minute and thirty seven seconds."
"This is what I meant when I called the kid a social butterfly last night," Artemis remarked to Lu.
"So! How long are you planning on staying here?" Pit asked excitedly.
"A week, unless someone manages to convince me to stay longer," Blues answered coolly.
Pit grinned. "We're going to have so much fun this week!"
"I look forward to it, although I would appreciate if I could spend at least a little bit of time alone with my brother during this stay."
"I'll be sure to restrain Pit for you," Artemis said with a smirk, finally composing herself well enough to speak to Blues.
"I am curious as to why Mega Man isn't here right now," Lu pondered.
"Blues arrived early this morning, Mega Man was too tired and asked me to greet them. He's probably still asleep," Pit answered.
"Do robots...sleep?" Artemis couldn't help but ask.
"That's such a rude question!" Palutena scolded.
Blues laughed. "Yes we do sleep, though we do not in fact dream of electric sleep."
"If Robin were here, she'd love you for that reference." Palutena smiled at first, though frowned by the end of her remark.
"I am sorry for your loss," Blues said solemnly, lowering their head.
Palutena blinked. "Oh um, she's not dead or anything, she's just going through a rough time right now. Um, annnyways..."
"Oh, I forgot to introduce, this is Lady Palutena by the way!" Pit said enthusiastically.
"Ah, Palutena, I saw your posters in the hall," Blues smirked.
"Haha, yeah. You a lesbian?" Palutena asked somewhat awkwardly.
"Something like that," Blues answered mysteriously. "I would be interested in stopping by, if you wouldn't mind. Would help me identify all the cool people here."
"Wait, am I not cool if I'm not part of the club?" Pit frowned.
"You're cool, just not as cool as us," Artemis teased.
"My child, I assure you that you are very cool," Palutena said, giving Artemis a death glare.
"Such a cute family," Blues remarked.
"Whatcha reading now?" Wolf asked, emerging from the bathroom after gettin ready for the day.
"More nerd crap," Fox answered, flipping a page.
"I wouldn't want it any other way~"
"Hey Wolf? What were you doing in the library last night with those girls?"
Wolf scoffed. "Rosalina may be a princess, but they ain't a girl."
Fox looked up from his book. "Oh, I didn't even realize that was Rosalina."
"I was making amends, just as you suggested."
"Well I'm proud of you."
"Do I need to explain everything that I do? Do you not trust me?"
Fox put his book down. "You have a history of getting into trouble. I trust you, I just want to make sure that I don't have to apologize to someone on your behalf."
"Hey now, I'm already three weeks trouble-free, you've got nothing to worry about!" Wolf said with a grin.
Fox gave a small smile. "I guess you're right."
Wolf leaned down to give him a kiss. "Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to cause some trouble."
"Oh, good morning Richter," Snake said, finally waking up.
"Hey Snake. Say, do you remember anything from last night?" Richter asked curiously.
"Psh, I'm not a lightweight like you, of course I remember."
Richter looked around the room, it seemed she'd made a mess of everything in her intoxicated state. She spotted a condom in the middle of the floor, and blushed. "Wait, did we...?"
Snake turned his head to see what she was looking at. "No no no, nothing like that," he said, frantically shaking his head. "You kept blowing it up like a balloon, then letting it go and watching it fly around the room. You thought it was the funniest thing ever."
Richter laughed. "Where did I even find it in the first place?"
"You went through all my stuff trying to find a magnifying glass."
Richter laughed harder. "Why did I need a magnifying glass??"
"You wanted to read a book, but you were too shitfaced to make out the words."
"What was I trying to read?"
Snake laughed. "You claimed that you were going to 'speedrun War and Peace' to 'prove that long books don't mean shit'"
Richter couldn't stop laughing. "Sounds like the fun distracting night I needed. Thank you, Snake, really."
"It's no problem, you're always welcome here when things get rocky. I'm here for you."
Somehow Artemis and Blues ended up alone together. Pit got distracted by something or another, and Lu went with Palutena to check up on Robin.
"Hey Artoo?" Blues started. They took after Pit and Palutena using that nickname."I have a bit of a favor to ask of you."
"Here's hoping it's something I can help with."
"Could I possibly bunk with you while I'm here?"
Artemis didn't know how to respond to that. "Ah, sure? I'll have to check with Lu first, but it shouldn't be a problem. May I ask why?"
"It's either that, or staying with Rock and Pit. I love my brother, and Pit is really endearing, but Pit seems like the type to keep me up all night, and I kinda like sleeping in peace."
"Rock...?" Artemis asked, confused by that name.
Blues laughed. "Did you think Mega Man was his real name?"
"Maybe...? Does Pac Man have a real name too?"
"No."
"I'm curious, do you wear your sunglasses while you sleep?" Artemis asked out of nowhere.
"You'll just have to find out~" Blues answered with a smirk.
"Okay but like-"
"Oh my gosh, yes, I Wear My Sunglasses At Night, are you happy?"
"Yes."
The two shared a laugh. Some may be surprised to find that Artemis was familiar with more music than just early-2000's-alt-rock-Hot-Topic bands, but she did in fact have a taste for the classics as well. She was terribly curious as to why Blues was wearing sunglasses indoors, and now seemingly at night as well, but there was something appealing about their mysteriousness.
"Heyyy Robin," Palutena nervously greeted her girlfriend, who was currently wrapped up in a blanket. The two hadn't spoken since last night.
"Hi," Robin mumbled back.
"Um, Lu is here, they were worried about you..."
Robin poked her head out from under the blanket, and proceeded to take her arms out as well. She sat up and hugged Lu. "...Please don't worry about me, I'm fine." It was visible on her face that she had previously been crying.
"Robin..." Lu hugged her tight, not knowing exactly what to say.
Palutena wrapped her arms around both of them.
"How much did you tell them?" Robin asked Palutena.
"All I said was that you were going through a rough time right now."
"You didn't mention how I was terribly depressed, thinking about death and our disparate mortality, and ended up making you feel so much worse?"
Palutena frowned. "No, I did not mention that."
Robin gave a bitter laugh. "Good, I'd hate for them to hear about it and find out how much I suck."
"Robin..." Lu repeated, on the verge of tears.
"Robin. You don't suck, you're allowed to worry about these things. I'm already over how I was feeling last night, I don't hold it against you. I don't want you to think that you can't confide in me anymore. Fuck I don't know what to say, but I love you and I hate seeing you like this."
"I love you too."
"Good morning," Rosalina yawned, waking up.
"Good evening," Corrin said with a slight smile.
"Oof, sorry to sleep so late."
Corrin kissed their cheek. "Don't worry about it."
Rosalina gasped. "'Rin, did you just kiss me? I didn't expect you to make that kind of move first!"
"It's what girlfriends are supposed to do, is it not?"
"Yeah I guess so, you just seemed hesitant when I asked you out so I didn't really expect you to really embrace it, I dunno."
"It's new to me, but I really want to make an effort to make you happy, and to be a good girlfriend."
Rosalina smiled and kissed her cheek in return. "You're awesome, 'Rin."
"You too are awesome, Rosie."

Didn't necessarily want to write more depressed Robin, but I kinda had to address what I started last chapter lol

Chapter Text
"Hey, are you cool if Blues sleeps with us?" Artemis asked after meeting back up with Lu.
"What? " Lu asked, not entirely understanding the question.
Artemis laughed. "I should have worded that better. I mean like, are you cool if they share our room while they're here?"
"Ah, for a second I thought- Erm yeah that's fine, yeah. Wait, are they expecting to share our bed too?"
Artemis thought about this. "...That's a good question. We don't have a lot of floorspace... As a robot can they just sleep standing up?"
"I think we've established that you shouldn't make assumptions about robots."
"Hm... Would you be opposed to them sharing the bed? I think it's plenty big enough. I don't think I personally mind?"
Lu shrugged. "I think it'd be pretty awkward at first, but the kinda thing that we can laugh off. I don't really care, they seem nice enough."
"We should prolly go find them-"
"Find who?" asked Blues, who just happened to be coming this way.
"Find you. Hey Blues, can you sleep standing up?" Artemis asked, prompting a facepalm from Lu.
"Um, no? Would make for a neat party trick though."
"There isn't much extra space in our room. If you stay with us, you'll have to share the bed with us," Lu said, cutting to the chase.
"What is this, a cliche fanfiction?" Blues asked, looking right at the camera. "I would hate to intrude in you guys' personal space, it's really not a big deal, I can just stay with Rock 'n' Pit."
"We really don't mind, it's just a matter of whether you're comfortable. I know what it's like to share a room with Pit, I don't want you to have to deal with that," Artemis explained.
"Well then, I don't have any objections. I've shared many a bed during my travels. As long as I get to sleep through the night, I'm good."
"Inviting someone to join you in bed? How scandelous!" Palutena said, appearing in front of them.
"Yeah yeah, and make sure to use protection, I've heard it all before," Artemis said, unamused.
"Damn I need some new material."
Blues laughed. "Don't worry ma'am, I have no intention of courting your daughter. Although I can't speak for her intentions..."
Artemis blushed. "No, no no, the thought never crossed my mind, I am loyal to Lu."
Blues smirked. "The funny thing is, I've seen the way you BOTH look at me."
"This drama is killing me, I'll need some popcorn!" Palutena exclaimed.
Lu looked away, embarassed. "...I will admit that I find you attractive, but I did not intend to imply that I was interested in anything like that."
"Well there you have it, Lady Palutena, there shal be no shenanigans between us," Blues said with a smile. "But really, I was just teasing, sorry if I made anyone uncomfortable."
Palutena cackled as she walked away, off to do whatever she was on her way to do in the first place.
"We're fine," Artemis assured Blues, to which Lu nodded in agreement.
"We should just get to the room, before Palutena finds us again," Lu suggested.
Simon, Pit, and Mega Man were all gathered around in the latter two's room. The three were longtime friends, having met during their adventures with a man named Kevin, the self proclaimed Captain N. But that's a story for another day.
"What's up, Simon? You seem upset about something," Pit asked.
"Ugh, it is my grandson, Richter. He had the nerve to come to me claiming that he wants to be a woman now!" Simon explained, the other two suddenly looking uneasy.
"Why is that a problem?" Rock asked after an uncomfortable silence.
"Why wouldn't it be a problem? It's unnatural, heresy even!" Simon exclaimed.
"Simon... That's really not cool," Pit said with a frown.
"Am I, as a robot, not unnatural?" Rock questioned.
"That is different!" Simon insisted.
"Simon, my sister is trans, like Richter. Are you going to call an angel a heretic? What about Lady Palutena, she's dating a trans woman, are you going to call the goddess a heretic too?"
Simon sighed. "Icarus, you're just a Kid, I don't expect you to understand. You don't have a family legacy to worry about."
"What about Blues? They're visiting right now, why don't you go tell them all of this and see what happens?" Rock was fuming.
"I'm not looking for a fight!"
Pit just looked sad at this point. "Simon. Please have an open mind. Apologize to Richter, treat her like a woman. You don't have to approve of it, but if you care so much about family then you need to make her feel accepted."
"Psh, whatever. I'm done here." Simon stormed off, out of the room.
"Poor Richter..." Pit muttered. Rock wrapped an arm around him to comfort him.
Palutena carried a tray of food up to Robin, after finally convincing her that she should eat something.
"I'm back, dear. How are you feeling...?"
"I feel like shit. I don't know, I'm not so sure I understand how I feel. But um, thank you for this."
Palutena sat down beside Robin on the bed. "Just take it slowly, I'm gonna help you get through this."
"...How are you so composed?"
Palutena smiled. "I have to be. Really don't worry about me, please. I just wanna help you."
Robin took a deep breathe. "Thank you."
Simon Belmont entered his room. Upon turning on the light, there sat a figure, waiting for him.
"Well well, Simon Belmont, I've been expecting you."
Simon was startled. "Hm, Star Wolf?"
"Please, it's just Wolf."
"What are you doing in my room?"
Wolf grinned. "I just so happened to hear through the grape vine that you haven't been respecting your grandchild's identity. This wouldn't happen to be true, would it?"
"So what if it is?" Simon asked, getting annoyed..
"Well, I'll be watching you. If you keep this up, let's just say that there won't be any of you left to watch."
"You're threatening me?"
"There's no threat, because you aren't going to keep it up, right Mr. Belmont?"
"I'm not scared of you," Simon said with a laugh.
"You will be."
"Well, here's our room, make yourself at home," Artemis said as the trio made their way inside.
"Nice, nice, I see you've got a Sega CD, good taste," Blues said, looking around. "Hey, do you mind if I take my armour off?"
"Depends, are you wearing anything underneath?" Artemis asked.
"Wouldn't you like to know~? Yes of course I'm wearing stuff underneath, I wouldn't just ask to go naked in front of you, not so soon at least."
"Then yeah, I don't care," Artemis said, a bit embarassed.
Blues pulled off their helmet, revealing more hair than should physically be able to fit under it. Artemis wasn't sure at first if the sunglasses were just part of the helmet, or if they were separate; it turned out that they were part of the helmet, but Blues additionally had another set of proper sunglasses behind them. Next they pulled of their gloves, revealing rather small hands compared to how big the gloves made them look. Then came the flexible, main piece of armor that covered the rest of their arms and their torso. Underneath that was a simple black tank top, and a large chest that was well concealed under the armour. They kept the scarf on the whole time, of course.
"You manage to look cool, even without your cool armor," Lu mused.
"Thanks, I try."
"You just constantly radiate coolness," Artemis added.
"Yeesh, want me to sign you two up for the fanclub mailing list? Please, I'm nothing special."
"Sorry, you probably get this kind of stuff all the time," Lu said.
"Nah, in actuality it's really just people I meet through my brother who end up obsessing over me, otherwise I tend to keep to myself," Blues explained.
"...So uh, do you like Eternal Champions?" Lu asked, changing the subject.
"I don't know if I should stay up for the rest of the night since I already slept most of the day, or if I should try to sleep again anyways," Rosalina said, still in bed beside Corrin.
"I am not sure what would be best," Corrin replied.
"You didn't sleep all day like I did, right? Are you planning on sleeping now then?" Rosalina asked.
"Correct, although I can stay up longer for you."
"Nah that's fine. I might as well just go back to sleep with you."
Corrin nodded, before giving them a kiss on the cheek. "Goodnight then."
Rosalina smiled and snuggled up close. "Goodnight 'Rin. Sweet dreams~"
"Back from causing trouble?" Fox asked as Wolf walked into the room.
"This trouble is for a good cause, I assure you."
"...Right."
Wolf hopped into bed beside Fox. "What did you get up to today?"
"Had a boring meeting with the rest of the team, and General Pepper. How is Star Wolf doing?"
Wolf laughed. "Who knows. When I left to come here, Panther took over, and I haven't heard from anyone since. I don't care anymore, there's no point if I'm not fighting you."
"Did you really only do it for me?" Fox asked curiously.
"Of course," Wolf said with a smile.

Chapter Text
Artemis woke up, sandwiched between Lu and Blues, who both seemed to be cuddling her in their sleep. It was not an unpleasant position to wake up in.
"Mornin'," Blues greeted. Artemis wondered how long they were awake for, it was impossible to tell with those sunglasses which miraculously stayed on throughout the night.
"Good morning," Artemis whispered back, not wanting to wake up Lu.
"I'mawake," Lu mumbled sleepily.
"Sweet, now can you both get off me?" Artemis asked, trying and failing to sit up.
"No," Lu replied, closing their eyes again.
"No," Blues copied, smirking.
Artemis rolled her eyes and smiled. "Here lies Artemis Icarus, cuddled to death by two cute enbies. They were roommates."
They all laughed. Lu pressed themself closer against Artemis, and kissed her cheek. Artemis turned her head to kiss them back on the lips. Blues chuckled and finally got up.
"I'll leave you two lovebirds at it, catch you later~" Blues put their armour back on in an instant, and made their exit.
"Blues is so cool," Lu remarked after they left.
"Do you want to be in the middle tonight then?" Artemis asked.
Lu blushed. "You know I don't like being unable to get up though."
"Oh yeah, I don't want you calling Robin for help again."
Lu frowned. "I wouldn't want to bother her right now in any case.
"Oh yeah... Do you know what exactly is up with her?"
"Mm depression onset by existential musings, or something like that. We just have to give her some space while Palutena helps her out."
"Ah, I've been there. Big mood."
Corrin woke up in Rosalina's warm embrace. She looked up to see that her princess was still asleep. "Rosalina," she whispered into their ear in an attempt to wake them up.
Rosalina successfully woke up. "Huh?" they mumbled.
"Good morning Rosalina," Corrin said with a smile.
"Is to early," Rosalina grumbled back.
"You got too much sleep. Please wake up, I would like to spend the day with you."
"Finnne, just another minute."
Corrin placed a hand on their shoulder and gently shook them. "If you go back to sleep, you'll end up sleeping for much more than a minute. Please get up now. Um, I would like to take you out for a date today."
At those words, Rosalina sat up, suddenly wide awake. "A date, you say?"
Corrin giggled. "People who are dating tend to go on dates, of course. I thought it might be nice to do that, and I think it makes sense to go during the weekend. If it's too sudden then we don't have to."
Rosalina grinned. "I think it's a great idea. What kind of date did you have in mind?"
"Well... You are really passionate about video games, so I was thinking that maybe we could go to an arcade?"
"Oh 'Rin, you really know the way into my heart!"
"Would you like to go early? We could then either spend the whole day there, or go somewhere else later in the day. Or we could just wait until later on to go, and spend the morning here."
"I wouldn't mind going early! Maybe we can go out to dinner after?" Rosalina suggested excitedly.
"That would be lovely."
In an effort to comfort her, Palutena agreed to watch through Robin's favorite show with her. And thus the two found themselves sleep deprived after spending the whole night binge watching Deep Space 9.
"Oh whoops, it's already light out," Palutena pointed out with a laugh, looking out the window.
"Ha, we didn't get any sleep. So, next episode?" Robin asked, not caring right now.
"Next episode," Palutena agreed, and the two continued their show. It was safe to say that Robin was doing much better, even if she still wasn't ready to leave the room.
After leaving the room, Blues almost immediately ran into Pit as well as Rock, and the three went to get breakfast together.
"So, did you end up spending the night with Artoo and Lu?" Pit asked them.
Blues nodded. "Yes, they didn't have any objections when I brought it up. It was fun, I beat them at all of their favorite fighting games. It was a bit awkward sharing their bed, but it was certainly a comfortable bed."
Pit grinned. "Lucky, they never let me sleep over!"
"If they did, then nobody would end up getting any sleep. That's precisely why Blues didn't stay with us," Rock explained.
"Oh yeah! Completely understandable!" Pit said with a laugh.
"How do you manage to sleep through the night?" Blues asked Rock.
"You could say that I sleep... like a rock."
"You walked right into that one," Pit pointed out.
"'Sup nerds," Artemis greeted upon entering the dining hall, with Lu in tow.
"Hiya!" Pit greeted back with enthusiasm.
"Mega hi!" Rock also greeted with enthusiasm.
"What took you so long?" Blues asked with a predictable smirk.
"I'd rather not say in front of the kids," Artemis said, returning the smirk.
"She's joking, we didn't do anything!" Lu insisted, face predictably red.
"Kids? I'm older than you!" Pit exclaimed.
"Semantics," Artemis said.
"You're all too darn cute," Blues remarked with a smile.
Rosalina and Corrin arrived at the arcade, hand in hand. Corrin wore a cute white sundress, while Rosalina didn't get the memo and wore a black hoodie and jeans. It was a popular interdimensional arcade that Rosalina had been meaning to visit for a while. Thankfully the arcade was managed by people from a dimension that didn't use money, so that wasn't something the couple had to worry about.
"This place is so big, I don't know where to start!" Rosalina said in awe.
"It's really loud here," muttered Corrin, who didn't actually have much experience with such venues.
"Oh! I brought these for you, 'Rin!" Rosalina pulled out a pair of earmuffs from within their seemingly endless sweatshirt pocket. Corrin put them on and smiled, to which Rosalina smiled back.
The two looked around for a good place to start, and found themselves dueling in a game of Joust. It was a simple game to get the hang of for someone like Corrin who didn't play games too often. She wound up beating Rosalina more often than not.
Next the two decided to play a cooperative game, which led to them playing all the way through Final Fight.
"We really need Haggar in Smash," Rosalina remarked.
"I don't think I'd want to fight him," Corrin replied.
"Yeah, but he'd be cool to meet. I wonder if Ryu could bring him here. Final Fight is in the Street Fighter universe, by the way."
"Are you a big Street Fighter fan?" Corrin asked curiously.
"Not necessarily a big fan, but I do enjoy it and I know a decent amount about it. Oh! Did you know that the pink haired girl in Final Fight, Poison, is trans? She's my favorite, she's playable in a few of the Street Fighter games too."
"Is that canon to the games, or just part of her personal life, like you?"
"It's totally canon to the games. It may not be handled very well, but it's nice to have a character like that nonetheless."
"That is really cool," Corrin said with a smile.
"Hey 'Rin? Are you still questioning your gender like you mentioned last week?" Rosalina asked.
Corrin nodded. "I have thought about it some more. I don't want to seem as though I'm just trying to copy you, but I think I am nonbinary, and I am fine with any pronouns. I would still like to be called your girlfriend however."
Rosalina grinned. "That's epic, 'Rin! Thanks for letting me know, I'm really happy for you for figuring this stuff out!"
Corrin smiled and rested their head on Rosalina's shoulder. "I'm happy to have someone supportive like you around, I don't think I would have given this any thought otherwise, nor would I even be able to call myself happy."
Rosalina kissed the top of their head and pulled them into a hug.
"I'm happy to be there for you. And I'm happy to have you too. Someone who understands me and actually wants to spend time with me. I've known you for less than two weeks, and I've been dating you for less than a week, but you already mean so much to me."
"I feel the same. Thank you."
The scene definitely caught the attention of the other patrons, but thankfully they were all respectful and nobody dared to interrupt. Until somebody did in fact interrupt.
"Ah, I didn't expect to see any familiar faces here today," remarked Zelda as she approached the two.
"Oh hey Zelda," Rosalina greeted, letting go of Corrin.
"Hello," Corrin said simply.
"What brings you two here?" Zelda asked.
"'Rin wanted to take me out on a date," Rosalina answered with a smile.
"Ah so you two are dating, how cute! Oh, your couple name should be Rollin!"
"Should it not be something more like Rorrin, or Rosin? Or Coralina-" Corrin was then cut off.
"Rollin, I love it!" Rosalina exclaimed.
"Oh, well alright then," Corrin said with a soft smile.
Zelda chuckled. "I suppose I should leave you two alone then, Link is probably wondering where I am." With that, Zelda disappeared into the crowds.
"We should find another game to play," Rosalina said to Corrin, who nodded.
The date went on, the couple continuing to play more games together, with Rosalina spouting random trivia at every corner. When the time came, they left for the next part of the date, a romantic dinner. They wound up just going to a pizza place, neither of them acually knowing or caring much about fancy dining. But the point was that they were out together.
"Today has been really nice," Corrin said happily.
"Agreed, this has been an awesome date 'Rin. Thanks for taking me out!"
"You are welcome. Thank you for agreeing to go with me." Corrin smiled. "Would this be an appropriate time to kiss you?"
Rosalina smiled back. "Of course."
Corrin leaned across the table, bringing her face close to Rosalina's. She closed her eyes, and placed her lips against theirs. Rosalina's eyes widened in surprise, expecting just a small kiss on the cheek, though they certainly didn't mind.
"...That was my first proper kiss," Corrin said, pulling away after a moment.
"Wow, you really are taking this girlfriend role seriously. I've really been leaving it to you to make the moves because I wasn't sure what you were comfortable with, but you clearly don't have as many reservations as I expected."
Corrin nodded. "Would it be appropriate now to say that I love you?"
Rosalina grinned. "Go for it 'Rin."
"Rosalina, I love you."
"I love you too, 'Rin. And by the way, those earmuffs look really cute on you. Well, everything looks cute on you. You're just cute in general."
Corrin giggled. "You are really cute as well, of course. And pretty. And all around charming."
"And you're too sweet," Rosalina said before moving in to kiss them again.
"They're so wholesome, I wish I could be in a relationship like that," Zelda whispered in awe. Who knows whether she was following them or just coincidentally ended up at the same pizza place... The Shadow knows.
Link, who sat beside her, rolled their eyes with a smile. "Forever the hopeless romantic," they signed, which recieved an elbow from Zelda.
"Hush, you."
Simon knocked on Richter's door. When there was no response, he went to Snake's door.
"Who is it?" Snake called out.
"'Tis I, Simon Belmont is here. Solid Snake, do you know where Richter is?"
Snake froze. He glanced at Richter who sat beside him, looking terrified. "What do you want with Richter?"
Simon took a deep breathe. "I would like to apologize."
The door in front of him opened after a moment, and there stood Richter.
"Richter... I am sorry. I was wrong. I talked to Kid Icarus and Mega Man, and they expressed dissapointment in me, pointing out their own transsexual family. Then Star Wolf threatened me about it. I realized that if all those heroes care about this, and even that one villain, then it is clearly me who is the odd one out. I also realized that if this is how society is progressing, then it only makes sense that my lineage would progress with it. You are not tarnishing my legacy, you are my legacy, and I accept you. How I behaved before was not fair to you."
Richter stood in silence for a moment, shocked to hear this coming from her grandfather. Finally she spoke. "Thank you Simon. It means a lot to hear that from you."
By the end of that Saturday, everyone was in high spirits, and all was well. The Rollin couple arrived back at the mansion, much closer than they were before. Robin wasn't in tip top shape just yet, but Palutena helped her to realize that there was no point in worrying about things she couldn't change, and to focus on making the most of the present. Simon may not entirely understand Richter, but he doesn't have to understand to be able to support her.
Thus concludes yet another thrilling chapter of Palutena's Lesbian Club.

Chapter Text
"Wow, this movie is so fucked up," Rosalina remarked, eyes wide staring at the screen.
"Mhmm," Corrin hummed in affirmation as she indulged in another handful of popcorn, unfazed by the film.
"And you said this is your favorite movie of all time??"
"Yup," Corrin answered nonchalantly.
"I'm just surprised, I wouldn't expect you to be into this."
"Why not? Frankly, you don't know much about my tastes."
Rosalina frowned at that. She was right, but it wasn't fair considering how little Corrin talked about herself. "I guess..."
"I honestly have not watched many movies, but of the ones I have seen I do prefer horror."
"I will have to keep that in mind," Rosalina said with a nod, still feeling bad.
Corrin looked down and sighed. "It's hard to explain, but after witnessing the horrors of war I guess I somehow find watching fictional violence to be strangely cathartic. Seeing that kind of violence in movies and knowing that it's all fake, it serves to reassure me that I no longer have to face the reality of it, that it's all over and behind me."
This was a lot, Corrin really didn't tend to open up like this. Rosalina moved closer and hugged her, wanting to comfort her. "'Rin, are you okay?" they managed to ask.
"I don't like thinking about the past, much less talking about it, but you deserve to know more about me. It's not fair when you've told me so much about yourself, while you don't know much about me. I want to make an effort to open up to you more."
Rosalina gently rubbed the distressed girlfriend's back. "You don't have to tell me anything that you don't want to, I don't think it's unfair. I love you, you know."
Suddenly Corrin pulled them into a deep, passionate kiss, much to Rosalina's surprise. After a moment Corrin pulled away, her eyes filled with tears. "I've been thinking about the past a lot lately, things keep reminding me of other things, it's really stressful. I love you so much, you make me happy no matter what. I...really need your comfort right now."
Rosalina wasn't entirely sure they understood what was going on in her head. Where was this sudden breakdown coming from, or rather why right now? It didn't matter, Rosalina was here for her. They moved even closer, and hugged her as tight as they could without hurting her. Corrin had expressed before how she was most comforted by such tight hugs, so Rosalina did their best.
Corrin closed her eyes and rested her head on their shoulder.
"Should I um, stop the movie?" Rosalina asked awkwardly.
"No, it's almost over. I want you to see the flesh dragon, it's my favorite." Corrin gave a soft smile which Rosalina adored, and they finished up the movie.
"We should watch the second one next time, it's almost as good, some even say it's better." Corrin seemed to quickly get over her mood, though Rosalina didn't let go yet.
"Very well, we shall watch Hellraiser 2 next time then."
There was a knock at Robin and Palutena's door. Robin got up to answer it, while Palutena hastily threw a blanket over herself having been wearing something that didn't need to be seen by visitors.
Behind the door stood Rosalina, with Corrin clinging to their arm. "Heyyy Robin..."
"Good evening you two, what's up?"
Rosalina scratched the back of their head. "Um, you own a lot of movies, right?"
Robin nodded, raising an eyebrow.
"Would you happen to have a copy of Hellraiser 2? We have a copy, but it doesn't have subtitles," Rosalina explained.
The troubles of watching stuff without subtitles, Robin understood, Palutena was one to always ask for subtitles too. Robin smiled and nodded, before disappearing back into the room.
"You know, I think it's streaming somewhere," Robin mentioned as she searched through her movies. Rosalina frantically shook their head, and glanced over at a frowning Corrin.
"Streaming is bad, there's far more compression than with physical media, it's barely watchable," Corrin explained.
"Nerd!" Palutena said in the background.
"Not a nerd..." Corrin pouted.
"Very well, just thought I should mention it," Robin said, not expecting to get her worked up like that.
"...You should sort your movies in alphabetical order, it makes it easier to find things," Corrin couldn't help but critique.
"I arranged them based on the cinematographer's mother's maiden name, I thought it'd be funny to do something convoluted at the time, but now I can never find anything."
Palutena rolled her eyes playfully. "Serious fuckin' nerd, I tell ya."
"Maybe we can just come by later, we're not in any hurry to watch it..." Rosalina said, really wanting to get out of there.
"Thank goodness, please leave, it's way too hot to be hiding under a blanket," Palutena remarked. Rosalina blushed thinking about why she might be hiding under a blanket.
"Goddamnit, just magic yourself into some clothes, you lazy bitch!" Robin exclaimed, glaring at Palutena.
"That's no fun," Palutena replied simply. Rosalina and Corrin slowly backed out of the room.
"You two, don't go anywhere, I found it," Robin finally said, and tossed the movie to Rosalina, who failed to catch it. They reached down to pick it up, before quickly giving thanks and then bolting out of there.
"Would you like to watch it right now, or wait until tomorrow?" Corrin asked as the two returned to Rosalina's room.
"I'd rather wait, I don't handle horror as wdll as you and I don't want nightmares... I know it's embarassing."
"No need to be embarassed around me, I understand. What would you like to do for the rest of the night?"
Rosalina thought about this, and an idea came to them. Their eyes lit up and they grinned. "Have I ever mentioned that I play guitar? I haven't touched it since I started hanging out with you, but I'd love to play for you!"
Corrin gasped and looked at them in awe. "I would love to hear you play. Will you...sing for me as well?"
Rosalina chuckled and made their way to the closet to retreive the instrument. "Of course, though I can't guarantee that my singing is any good.
Corrin nodded and took a seat on the bed. Rosalina soon returned, guitar in hand, and took a seat beside her. Corrin stared at them eagerly.
"Do you have any-" Corrin cut them off, shaking her head.
"Just play what you'd normally play, or whatever comes to mind. I'm not familliar enough with the music you like to be able to request anything specific. I'm sure anything you play will be beautiful."
"Very well," Rosalina said with a smile. "I think I have something in mind. This first song is one that I learned during my teenage Dragon Ball phase.
They cleared their throat, took a deep breath, and began strumming a melody. After a moment of getting into it, they began to sing.
"Bit by bit, I'm falling under your spell
Your smile's all I need to see to know
We'll leave this endless darkness, saying
'Come along with me, hold my hand'"
...
Corrin could feel her heart flutter as she watched her partner perform. The way that their slender hands danced over the strings, never making a mistake, was mesmorizing. The way that they sang, giving it their all as they belted out the words, never straying off key, sounded simply angelic. The performance had Corrin falling in love with them all over again, and she had to resist the urge to embrace them until afterwards.
Rosalina opened their eyes, set their guitar down, and wiped the sweat from their brow. They cracked their knuckles, and then suddenly they were pinned down on the bed.
"You are so amazing," Corrin blurted, and nuzzled her face in their neck. Her arms squeezed them in a tight but comfortable hug.
Rosalina blushed, they had yet to see Corrin look so excited about anything before. "Goodness, maybe I should play for you more often," they said, hugging her back. "Erm, do you want me to play more, or...do you just want to stay like this?"
Corrin sat up and looked away. "Sorry, I got carried away. You can play more."
Rosalina sighed and pulled Corrin back down on top of them, eliciting a cute startled squeak. "I'm not complaining, I have no problems with just cuddling a bit first."
"...okay, thank you..." Corrin mumbled before embracing them once again.
"I'm reall glad that you enjoy my playing," Rosalina said after a moment, running a hand through her long hair.
"I've said before that I love your voice, it only makes sense that I would love your singing too. You look so cute, concentrating on the music, closing your eyes and getting 'in the zone' or what have you. You could very well become a professional musician if you wanted to. Your music makes me feel warm inside, and it's hard not to smile. I can't get enough of you."
If they didn't know that Corrin was ace, then Rosalina might think that these words would lead to something. That thought had Rosalina blushing once again.
"Rosalina, are you thinking about having sex with me?" Corrin asked bluntly, as if reading their mind.
"Of course not! You're ace, It wouldn't be right to think about you like that!" Rosalina insisted.
"It's a normal thing to think about, I'm not offended. You know, I'm not opposed to trying it out, just for curiosity's sake. Plus the idea of making you happy and getting closer to you is enticing. Maybe someday."
"Corrin!" Rosalina squealed, embarassed by the topic. "I swear I'm not thinking about that stuff! Where is this coming from?"
"I'm laying on top of you and complementing you, and your face is red from it. It is reasonable to assume that I made your thoughts wander a bit. Then you proceeded to try to cover it up, but you are a bad liar. The more you try to deny this, the more embarrassed you will become. Please be honest, you don't need to be ashamed of anything around me."
Rosalina went silent, and just nodded simply.
"I think I want a haircut," Corrin said completely out of nowhere. "I like how short your hair is. I don't want the same style as you or anything, but it's a nice length."
"Let's get you a haircut sometime then. I usually cut my own hair actually, but I've never tried cutting someone else's so I don't trust myself to do yours."
Corrin nodded. "On the topic of altering my looks... I would like to invest in getting top surgery, I've decided."
Rosalina wasn't expecting that. "Yeah? To um, enlarge or reduce?" Corrin was fairly flat already, as far as they could tell.
"To reduce. You probably haven't noticed, but I've been wearing a binder for a while now." Corrin showcased her point by sitting up again and lifting up her shirt.
"Huh, but I thought you didn't know you were trans until recently?" Rosalina said, trying to understand where this was coming from.
"Correct. For a while I wasn't sure why I was more comfortable like this, I just was. Now I understand why."
"Ah, gotcha. Well it goes without saying that I support you all the way," Rosalina told her. Corrin smiled at that and kissed them.
Notes:
I'm a big Hellraiser fan, if you couldn't tell by my username.
The song Rosalina plays is one of the theme songs for Dragon Ball GT.Can't be bothered with a chapter title right now.
Chapter 18: Another Brick In The Wall
Summary:
Song at the beginning is "Not Your Type" by Worriers. Anyone who reads this fic is bound to enjoy their stuff, awesome queer band. I really do have all their records.
Whoops this was meant to go in the notes, boy I really hope somebody got fired for that blunder!
Notes:
Mind the "Implied/Referenced Suicide" tag that I just added. Only applies to the last section here, with Rosalina and Corrin. Skip the section if you don't want to read about that. My mind just kinda went to a dark place there.
(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)
Chapter Text
"I was not your type, but I could get pushed into that
I could make this believable, like my natural habitat
It only takes a few words to stick in your head, 'Boys don't like girls who wear stuff like that'
Nothing ever fits like it's supposed to, constant reminders of what the world didn't give to you
Wallow in the person I never wanted to be, when femininity lost its power over me
I was not your type."
Rosalina had gone back to seranading Corrin, currently playing some of their favorite angsty queer songs. Rosalina could be playing anything and Corrin would love it no matter what truthfully, but this particular type of music had them intrigued and wanting to hear more.
"The band is called Worriers," Rosalina explained. "I'm a big fan, you should definitely check them out. I have all of their records."
"You've been recommending a lot of music tonight, I should write these down... Do you have a pen? And some paper? And a flat surface to write against?" Corrin asked. Rosalina grinned, finding them to be quite precious, and fetched a pad of paper plus a pencil.
"Oh, just don't flip to the pages before that one," Rosalina instructed ominously. Corrin nodded and quickly jotted down the names of the various artists that the other had covered and recommended. Lots of prog rock and pop punk, along with the occasional anime music, and a bit of classic metal. How long had they been going at this? The sunrise visible through the window gave some insight as to the passage of time.
"Rosalina, I think you should sleep," Corrin insisted.
"Psh, I don't need to sleep. Actually... I'm still scared from that movie, and I don't want to sleep without you..." Rosalina admitted.
Corrin took the guitar from them and placed it gently to the side. They then laid down in the bed, and took Rosalina's hand urging them to follow suit. "I don't like sleeping during the day, but I also don't like you missing out on sleep because of me."
Rosalina sighed and laid down. "... Thank you. You're the best, you know."
"So you've told me," Corrin said with a smile. They took off their earmuffs and placed them on the bedside table, before kissing Rosalina on the cheek. "Goodnight, my princess."
Rosalina held them close and kissed them back. "Night 'Rin, love you."
"Love you too, sweet dreams." Corrin returned the hug and kissed them once again for good measure.
Rosalina got woken up by the sound of Corrin getting out of bed. "Ngh come baaaack," they whined sleepily.
"I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to wake you," Corrin apologized.
"Where 're you going?" Rosalina asked, eyes closed and arms fruitlessly reaching out for Corrin.
"...I can't sleep, I was going to grab a book."
"Noooo, I'll be your book, just come baaack."
Corrin couldn't help but smile at that response. "I can't read you, silly. I'll be right back, I'm not even leaving the room."
"Noooo," Rosalina continued to protest.
Corrin sighed in defeat and got back in bed. Rosalina immediately embraced them again like a big teddy bear, and was fast asleep soon enough. Corrin still couldn't sleep, so they simply laid there and watched Rosalina sleep.
"Goood morning, sleepyhead," Rosalina said with a yawn. Corrin had just finally gotten to sleep, but they didn't mind being woken up like this.
"Good morning, though I presume it's long since morning by now."
"You would presume correctly, heh. Our sleep schedules are so fucked."
Corrin nodded and sat up. "I had a lot of fun with you last night."
"I had a lot of fun too! Thank you for indulging me, it was nice playing in front of someone. Oh and of course, we should totally make a habit of watching more movies together."
"What kinds of movies do you prefer?" Corrin asked.
"I like cartoons, and musicals, and cartoon musicals, and hybrid live-action/cartoon musicals... I like The Wall, okay. For some reason that's the only thing coming to mind, I'm bad at naming favorites on the spot. Ummm I like sci-fi stuff too. Oh, and I'll watch anything with queer characters, or at least queer subtext."
"You really do get excited about queer characters in things, it's cute."
"Yeah, well, your face is cute, so there."
Corrin smiled. "So you've told me. You are cuter though."
Rosalina scoffed. "We're not playing this game, you're the cute one here and that's final. You're just like, the most adorable fucking person I've ever seen, and I won't let you say that I am somehow cuter."
"Fine. Can I at least say that you are prettier?"
Rosalina refused to answer. "Hey would you look at the time, we should get something to eat."
"You aren't usually this adverse to my compliments. What's wrong?" Corrin asked with a frown.
"I don't knooow, it's just one of those days I guess."
"You don't have to act like everything is fine. You should let me know if you are hurting inside."
"You're my girlfriend, not my therapist, I can't just tell you that I woke up depressed. I don't want to be a burden. I don't know how you could tell I was hiding something..."
Corrin frowned more. "Do you think I'm a burden when I mention my problems? You aren't a burden, Rosalina."
"But you hide much more problems than I do..."
"I hide my past trauma, that's different from hiding how you feel in the present."
"Well, are you hiding it because you are afraid of being a burden?"
"I hide it because it's in the past and it hurts to think about!" Corrin said loudly, looking away. "This isn't about me. All I'm trying to say is that you can be honest with me about anything, I'm here for you."
Rosalina sat up and hugged them. "...I'm sorry, I will be more honest with my feelings. Are you mad at me?"
"I will never be mad at you," Corrin said softly, hugging them back.
"Are Corrin and Rosalina dating now?" Robin asked curiously.
"Oh yeah, you haven't left the room in a while. Yes they're dating, and they're hecking adorable together," Palutena answered.
"Your stupid club is bringing everyone together."
"All according to keikaku."
"Who's the fucking nerd now?!" Robin said, holding back laughter.
"You are, for getting the reference."
"Why are you like this?"
"Why would you fall in love with someone like this?"
"I keep asking myself the same thing."
The two shared a laugh, which ended in their lips pressed against one another's.
"They really are cute though. Why aren't we cute?" Palutena asked.
"Because we're hot," Robin replied with a smirk.
"I mean I knew I was hot, I guess you're not bad yourself."
Robin elbowed her playfully. "Don't act like you're not constantly fawning over me."
"Okay fine, we're both the hottest fuckers in this place. Besides Snake."
"Imagine finding a man hot," Robin laughed.
"Says the person who was once convinced that she was a gay man."
"That's a low blow, you can't just casually bring up a trans girl's past," Robin said with a light frown.
"I didn't think of it like that, I'm so sorry babe," Palutena said sincerely.
"No it's fine, sorry, I usually wouldn't care, I don't know why it hurts right now. Feelings are dumb."
"I would never intentionally say something to hurt you," Palutena reiterated.
"No no, I know that. I've been out for over a decade now, but I still have moments of self doubt. Right now I feel compelled to ask you if you mind the fact that I'm trans, even though I already know the answer."
Palutena embraced her. "Of course I don't mind you being trans. You're just as much of a girl as I am. I didn't have a problem before I knew you were trans, and I don't have a problem now. You are you, and I love you."
Robin by now had her face buried in Palutena's chest, tears forming. "Thank you, it means a lot. You're too good for me."
"None of that 'too good for me' bullshit, I'm not better than you, we deserve eachother."
"Says the literal god," Robin said with a smirk.
"More powerful doesn't mean better!" Palutena insisted.
"In any case, I really appreciate you Pals."
"Snake, I need to tell you something. I hope you won't be mad..."
Richter was hanging out in Snake's room once again, as she seemed to be doing more frequently.
"When you word it like that, it makes it easy to guess what this is about. I won't be mad, Richter."
Richter took a deep breath. "Okay... So I have come to realize that, well, I don't want to date you. When you became a close friend, I think that I conflated my feelings of platonic love with romantic love. I appreciate your friendship to no end, and I hope that you understand."
Snake nodded. "Yeah I get it, no hard feelings," he said simply.
"Now with that out of the way... Do you think I have a chance with Samus?"
Snake had to resist the urge to laugh. "I'm gonna have to say no, sorry kid. Samus err, doesn't really do the whole dating thing. She tries not to hold anyone too close. Maybe she'll sleep with you under the right circumstances, but that's it."
"Understood, I figured it was a longshot. I've hung out with her a few times lately, of course she's been helping me out with clothes and whatnot, I've come to find that she's just really pleasant to be around."
"Yeah, she's really something special."
Corrin stared at the tv, still trying to process what they just watched.
In an effort to cheer up Rosalina, Corrin suggested watching the movie that Rosalina mentioned earlier that they seemed to be fond of, The Wall.
"I don't know how comfortable you'll be," Rosalina had warned. "It's all about trauma, and there's some prominent stuff regarding war."
"I will be fine, I'm sure," Corrin had insisted.
Now the movie was over. Watching something familliar regardless of subject matter calmed Rosalina down. Conversely, for Corrin it prompted them to reflect on their own past.
"Corrin?" Rosalina called out, noticing the uneasy look on their face. "You okay?"
"...Can I talk to you? I mean, I think I need to share some things about the past. I realize now that I can't keep it all inside, even if it hurts to talk about. I want to open up more; not about everything right now, but at the very least I would like to share one thing that's been on my mind lately..."
"Of course 'Rin, I'm here for you if you need to talk. Is it...about the war?"
Corrin shook their head. "That will have to wait for another time. This is more about my family."
Rosalina nodded. "Got it. Well go right ahead, at your own pace."
"Right." Corrin cleared their throat and subtly took Rosalina's hand before beginning.
"One of my sisters, Camilla, she is a lesbian. When she came out, most of the family...weren't very pleased. They didn't try to disown her or anything thankfully, but she was treated differently from the others, colder. Then, sometime later...my younger sister, Elise, came out as trans. Well, she told Camilla and I, then Camilla accidentally outed her to the rest of the family. She was treated far worse than Camilla, her identity being completely rejected and invalidated. There was only so much I could do to help her... Eventually she decided that she couldn't take it any more and she... She's no longer with us. She was deadnamed even at the funeral. From there I prayed that I wouldn't turn out to be queer. I was terrified. I suppose I've come a long way, but in truth I'm still scared of what will happen now that I'm accepting who I am. Elise's birthday is coming up, and everytime I think of her I can't help but think about how her own family turned against her, drove her to take her own life; how the world isn't safe for people like us."
"'Rin I... I don't know what to say. I never knew what to expect when you've mention'd your past. I had no idea... Fuck, how much trauma are you living with? It's not fair. I really don't know what to say, but I want to reiterate that I will always be here for you. As long as I'm here, I won't let anything happen to you. You're not alone."
Corrin rested their head on Rosalina's shoulder, and all was silent for a while.
Notes:
At one point I thought about ending this chapter with the proverbial camera pulling back to reveal that Marx was writing the story the whole time, Duck Amuck style. I wasn't entirely sure how to put that in writing, and I'm not sure how the audience would feel about such fourth wall breaks.
Chapter 19: Together Forever
Summary:
Third club meeting
Notes:
All club chapters have Together in the title to keep them unified. I may or may not be running out of songs I know with Together titles. I can only think of two more right now, unless I resort to just using song lyrics. Who knows if I'll even continue this long enough to make it to another club chapter.
(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)
Chapter Text
"I will be going out tomorrow with my sister Camilla, for Elise's birthday," Corrin announced as Rosalina cuddled up beside her.
"That's sweet. Camilla's the lesbian, right?" Rosalina asked, looking up at her.
"Indeed. She was actually adamant that I invite you, so if you would like you may come along with us. However I understand not being comfortable with tagging along to pay respects to someone you've never met."
"I don't have any problem coming with, as long as you're sure that I'm not intruding. I didn't realize you told your family about me..."
"You aren't intruding. And I only told Camilla, she's a bit protective of me and likes to be updated about any changes in my life. Considering you're my first girlfriend, she really wants to meet you and welcome you into the family."
"Partner, not girlfriend," Rosalina corrected. "But yeah, that makes sense. I'll have to find something nice to wear..."
Corrin shook her head. "Elise never cared for tradition or formalities, Camilla and I tend to dress casually for this. We're celebrating her life, keeping her memory alive if you will. It's not a funeral."
"Oh. Well alright then. Sorry, I've never been in this sort of position before."
"No worries. Now in the meantime, it is Tuesday..."
THIRD LESBIAN CLUB MEETING IS A GO!
"What's up fuckers?" Palutena greeted as she entered the library and threw herself into a chair. She was very late.
"What did I say about addressing them as 'fuckers'?" Robin asked sternly.
"That it's better than addressing them as 'bitches'?"
Robin glared at her. "I may have said that, but the point is that you shouldn't do either!"
"Fine. Hello nerds. Is that better?"
Robin sighed. "Sure."
"So anyways, welcome to the club, yadda yadda yadda, introduce yourselves or whatever."
Artemis turned to Robin. "How much has she been drinking?" she asked with concern.
"...I tried to stop her, I swear. She insisted that she'd be fine. She's not fine." Robin answered, sighing again.
"This club is always such a disaster," Artemis said with a roll of her eyes.
"I can hear you two. Annnyways, introductions, I'll go first. Palutena, she/her."
"Robin, she/her, I'm this dork's girlfriend for those who don't know."
Amidst the circle of chairs, there were mostly familliar faces. Some of last week's atendees were missing, such as Kirby, Dark Samus, Audrey the Piranha Plant, Byleth, Marx, and Snake. In their place were some newcomers: Isabelle, Min Min, Leaf, and Blues.
...
"Hey all, I'm Blues, they/them, and I'm the coolest motherfucker in this room. Artemis told me to say that."
"I'm Daisy, any pronouns, I think I'm in the middle of some kind of identity crisis. Anyway, I'm the real coolest motherfucker in the room, but I'll let it slide just this once."
Blues and Daisy smirked at eachother, with Daisy adding a wink. Maybe Blues did too, but nobody could tell what was going on with those eyes behind their cool shades.
...
"Corrin, any pronouns I've decided. Since other people like to share these things, I would like to announce that I am dating Rosalina."
...
"Hihi! I'm Isabelle, she/her! I don't think I'm really much of a lesbian, but Robin insisted that I should come since I usually just drop off some snacks. I do think girls are pretty, but I'm aroace and not interested in any sort of relationships. Oh look at me, I'm rambling on aren't I?"
...
"Heyy I'm Min Min, she/her, I like noodles and I'm gay as hell."
"Hell isn't as gay as you'd expect, it's bullshit. I mean it's still pretty gay, but not gay enough to warrant comparing your gayness to it. Wait is Hades the same as Hell? I can only actually speak for Hades." This was Palutena speaking, for the record.
"...Alrighty then? Guess I am not in fact gay as hell, but I am very gay nonetheless. Saying it like that is less cool than saying gay as hell."
...
"Hey uh, I'm Leaf! She/her, don't really have much else to say?"
...
"Cool cool, that's everyone I think. Now, someone come up with something for us to do. Or don't, I don't really care."
Robin glared at Palutena once again. "I apologize for how Palutena is acting, I think I'll take the reigns from here. Now, if someone has any suggestions for a fun, appropriate group activity, suggestions are appreciated. Or if you'd rather just talk amongst yourselves, mingle and all that, I know Palutena takes pride in the friendships that blossom from this place..."
"What kinds of 'activities' do you usually do here? It'd help to know what kinds of things to suggest," Leaf spoke up.
"Well, last time we partnered up and drew pictures of eachother," Robin explained.
"I vote karaoke, the greatest group activity," Samus suggested.
"Absoltely no-" Robin started.
"Sounds good, we're doing that," Palutena cut her off. With a snap of her fingers, the whole scenery of the library changed to accomodate.
Robin rolled her eyes. "I guess we're really doing this then. Please be mindful of the innocent ears in the room, don't sing anything too explicit." She motioned towards Isabelle at the mention of innocent ears.
"Heck yeah, let's do this. Can I go first?" Blues asked excitedly.
Robin shrugged. "Sure. Somehow I trust you to be more responsible than half the people in this room."
...
"Here I present a classic, what has become my unofficial theme song," Blues said after getting everything set up.
"Oh please, Sunglasses At Night was already referenced a few chapters ago," Palutena complained as the song started.
"Damn they have such a beautiful voice," Lu muttered, Artemis nodded in agreement.
Everyone clapped once they were done, and Isabelle stepped up to the mic.
"Hi everyone! I'm not much of a singer, so please bare with me!" The short, adorable dog lady cleared her throat and then...
"IT'S JUST ONE OF THOSE DAYS WHERE YOU DON'T WANNA WAKE UP!
EVERYTHING IS FUCKED, EVERYBODY SUCKS!
YOU DON'T REALLY KNOW WHY, BUT YOU WANT TO JUSTIFY RIPPING SOMEONE'S FACE OFF"
"So much for protecting innocent ears," Robin said with a sigh.
"Goodness, I was hoping to go one more day without any Limp Bizkit, this was clearly a mistake," Palutena remarked with a laugh.
"From this point forward, I am banning Limp Bizkit from this club," Robin declared.
"What about songs released by other artists that happen to feature Fred Durst?" Samus asked with a smirk.
"No All In The Family either."
"There goes our duet," Bayonetta muttered to Samus.
"Not actually because of the inclusion of Fred Durst, I'm just not comfortable with all the slurs in the song," Robin clarified.
"Oh yeah, fair," Samus said with a nod.
"I have no idea what a Limp Bizkit is, or who Fred Durst is, and frankly I'm not sure that I want to know," Min Min said with some amusement.
"It's gloriously shitty nu metal, enjoyable garbage really," Artemis explained.
"Isn't saying 'shitty nu metal' redundant?" Blues questioned with their ever-present smirk.
"You take that back, some nu metal is awesome," Palutena insisted.
"Okay, I definitely don't want to know what nu metal is," Min Min laughed.
"Good, because I swear there's no good way to define it," Robin said.
Isabelle finished up and bowed, before running off whilst everyone clapped.
"Question, is there a limit to the length of our chosen songs?" Rosalina asked.
"Um, try not to pick anything over 3 minutes?" Robin answered?
"Gotcha, so no prog rock."
"...I'll make an exception for Rush," Robin added.
Rosalina grinned. "Good enough for me! I'm going next, 'Rin you better not miss this!"
Corrin nodded. "I wouldn't miss it for the world. I'm happy to see that you aren't doubting your abilities and refusing to sing, you've got this."
Samus snickered. "Rush, yeah, make an exception for the band that takes inspiration from Ayn Rand."
"Samus, you just love to ruin everything, don't you?" Palutena said, somewhat angrily.
"Pals, please, it's fine, Samus isn't ruining everything. She's only ruining Rush," Robin sighed.
"All this music talk is going right over my head," Min Min muttered.
"I know, I must've missed the memo saying that all lesbians had to be big music nerds," Leaf laughed.
"I can uh, just pick something else, I don't want anyone fighting," Rosalina said. "Here, I've got something in mind."
Rosalina proceeded to sing the theme of Kingdom Hearts 2, 'Sanctuary'. They somehow had no problem with the parts of the song that were in reverse, they'd clearly been practicing.
"Wait, how long is this song?" Artemis questioned.
"Doesn't matter, Kingdom Hearts surpasses all rules," Robin smiled. "Now that's it, I'm singing 'Simple And Clean' next."
"Fine but I'll have to sing something from Metal Gear after that," Palutena grumbled.
"Are you gonna be singing anything?" Daisy asked Peach.
"Oh I don't know, I don't really know much music," Peach replied.
"There's no way that you dated Rosalina and walked away without any music knowledge."
Peach frowned. "Please don't talk about that relationship right now..."
"O...kay? Wait, are you jealous or something??"
Peach shook her head. "Nothing like that. It's just... I see Rosalina with Corrin, and they're all happy, I can't help but think that I was never able to make them smile like that. All of a sudden I'm thinking that maybe that relationship was a failure on my part. I thought they were too distant, but clearly they're capable of getting close, which can only mean that I just didn't try hard enough to be there for them. I don't know."
"Hurm, I feel like I should be saying something encouraging, but I don' have any experience with this kinda stuff. Just, like, don't be too hard on yourself, it was in the past." Daisy was visibly uncomfortable, she was hearing stuff that clearly wasn't any of her buisness, and she really didn't know what to say.
"I didn't want to talk about it at all, I don't need your words of encouragement," Peach snapped uncharacteristically.
Daisy promptly got up and walked away.
"Mind if I sit here?" Daisy asked, walking up to an empty seat beside Blues.
"Go on ahead, 'real coolest motherfucker in the room'," Blues said with a smirk.
Daisy chuckled and sat down. "Peach is in a Mood and kinda shooed me away. You know, we're supposed to be best friends but I feel like we've been kinda drifting apart lately."
"Do you always pile your problems onto strangers?" Blues asked, continuing to smirk.
"Sorry, you just give off the vibes of someone who seems easy to talk to. Or something."
"I'm just kidding, I don't actually mind. Share whatever you need to share, I'm happy to be a friend."
Daisy smiled and leaned back in the chair. "Well thank ya. I don't really have anything to share right now, though I am curious to hear more about you."
"It's cooler if I remain a mystery though," Blues said with a laugh. "Perhaps I'd be willing to share more over dinner."
Daisy laughed. "You asking me out?"
"I do believe I am."
Daisy sighed. "As nice as that would be... See Zelda over there? She's been eying you this whole time. She's been kinda desparate lately, as her friend I feel the need to insist that you give her a chance before me. I can vouch that she's pretty cool."
Blues shrugged. "I don't have a problem with that, you're a good friend for saying that. But you know, what if all three of us just go out together?"
"That's...certainly an idea," Daisy said, unsure what to make of the suggestion.
"Dates are more fun with more people, in my experience at least. It's not for everyone of course."
"It's just not something I've ever considered. I mean, if Zelda's cool with it then I'm down."
"Heyy there," Blues greeted, sidling up to Zelda. "Zelda, right? Daisy over there tells me that you're pretty cool."
Zelda looked at them, face bright red in gay panic. After making a series of incomprehensible sounds, essentially the vocal equivalent of a keysmash, she managed to speak up. "...hi."
Blues chuckled. "Don't worry, I don't bite -- unless you're into that~"
Daisy was cackling as she watched from a distance.
"...Did Daisy tell you to mess with me or something? I mean there's no way someone like you would talk to me of your own volition."
Blues frowned at that. "Daisy may have pointed me in your direction, but I'm not here to mess with you. I'm not like that."
Zelda nodded slowly. "I see. What are you here for then?"
The robot shrugged. "Wanna go out sometime?"
Zelda would have spit out her drink if she had one. "How very forward of you. Do you ask out everyone you meet?"
"Just the cool people," Blues smirked.
Zelda sighed, then smiled. "Very well then, why not? You seem to be in the good graces of Palutena, Robin, Artemis, and Lu here, so I presume I can trust you. And you're undoubtably charming. And... It's been too long since I was last on a date."
"Epic, we can work out the details later!" Blues ran off back to their spot with Daisy.
"I didn't end up asking about you coming along, I didn't want to overwhelm her," Blues said.
Daisy nodded. "No prob. Maybe we can figure something out another time. Anyways, please actually give her a chance, don't just do this for me."
"Of course, she seems cool, I'm looking forward to it."
Robin kept to her word, going up to perform the iconic original Kingdom Hearts theme. Palutena then went on to sing 'The Man Who Sold The World' which featured in Metal Gear Solid V, although she opted for the Nirvana version rather than the rendition actually featured in the game. More performances continued, at one point Bayonetta started to sing 'Closer' by Nine Inch Nails which Robin promptly shut down (leading to a new "No Trent Reznor" rule). Rosalina encouraged Corrin to go up, leading to a beautiful rendition of 'Where Is My Mind'. Artemis dragged Lu up for a duet of 'Bring Me To Life' which definitely got some reactions. As the night went on, more and more people got to talking and ignoring the music.
"Hello Samus," Richter greeted, finally deciding to approach the bounty hunter.
"Hey Richter! S'up?" Samus greeted her with a smile.
"Well um, I was wondering. Are you and Bayonetta together? You seem to be rather close, but Snake was telling me that you don't date."
"Together? Yes. Dating? No. Snake is right, I don't do that. I prefer more casual relationships. I mean, it's hard to explain. Why do you ask?"
"No reason, it was just a random thought," Richter answered, looking away.
"Wait, you don't have a thing for me, do you? Ohh I feel so bad."
Richter shook her head. "It's fine, it's really nothing. I don't know, when you helped me out it just made me feel... It doesn't matter. I don't know what I'm doing."
Samus sighed. "Kid, you're still young, you have plenty of time to figure things out. And you can do much better than me."
Richter nodded. "Thank you..."
"Y'know, this is getting kinda boring," Leaf remarked.
Min Min nodded in agreement. "Yup. I don't know most of this music, and I don't know most of the people here. I don't know what I really expected coming here?"
"Wanna get out of here? Play some Mario Kart or somethin'?"
"I'm down, as long as you don't mind losing," Min Min said with a smile.
Leaf laughed. "I actually suck at Mario Kart so I probably will lose."
"Oh, me too, I was totally bluffing."
The two proceeded to blow that popsicle stand as they say, and retreated to Leaf's room to Kart it up.
Rosalina looked to Corrin. "Maybe we should get going too, it's getting late and you probably don't want me sleeping in tomorrow."
"Very well," Corrin said before standing up and taking Rosalina's hand.
"Huh, everyone's leaving, you should do a better job of running this thing," Palutena told Robin.
Robin rolled her eyes in annoyance. "You're supposed to be running this..."
"You insisted that you were running it today. If it were me, nobody would be bored."
Robin glared at her. "I was covering for you because you insisted on getting drunk earlier."
Artemis and Lu looked to eachother. "Are they seriously fighting?" Lu asked in disbelief.
"I think so. I don't like it," Artemis said with concern.
"I didn't see you trying to stop me," Palutena continued.
"You never listen when I try to stop you, so I don't bother anymore!" Robin practically shouted.
"Hey now, we shouldn't be acting like this in front of everyone," Palutena chided.
"Whatever. We need to have a talk later though." Robin crossed her arms and looked away.
Artemis stood up in front of everyone. "Hey all, there seems to be some... Complications. We're going to call this a night here, sorry folks."
Everyone proceeded to shuffle out of the library, leaving only Artemis, Lu, Palutena, and Robin.
"Alright, what's going on?" Artemis asked.
"This doesn't concern you two, please move along," Robin answered.
Artemis sighed and left the library with Lu.
Palutena and Robin were back in their room.
"Palutena," Robin said sternly, "You need to stop drinking."
"Denied," Palutena said simply.
"Palutena. I love you, but this has been getting increasingly out of hand over the past few years."
"Nothing is out of hand."
"Last time, you created this stupid club. That's not too bad, but the problem is that you become impossible to reason with, and then blame me for not stopping you."
"Hmph. So what then?"
Robin closed her eyes, losing her patience. "If you don't stop, then we're done."
"You were so in love with me, and hated the idea of leaving me."
"That's true. But I don't want to keep dealing with this. Before we were dating, I saw it as an endearing quirk. Now I realize that it's a problem, and you need to better yourself. If you aren't willing to try, then I'm done."
Palutena scoffed. "You don't know what you're talking about. You'll just come crawling back in another chapter or two. You don't even realize how much you're throwing off the tone of this chapter."
"You're not making any sense. I guess I'll try talking to you again tomorrow. I'm done for the night." With that, Robin walked out of the room.
"I hate when people I love fight with eachother," Lu said with a sigh, cuddled up beside Artemis.
"Me too, babe. Me too. It'll be alright though, don't worry about it." Artemis tried to console them.
"I can't help it..."
Artemis rubbed their back gently. "I know, me neither. But I promise that it will be fine. They love eachother too much."
"That certainly was something," Isabelle said to herself as she got ready for bed. "Everyone seems nice, but I don't feel like I fit in. I am the only dog, for one thing..." She chuckled, then sighed. "I wonder why everything was cut short so suddenly. I think I heard Palutena and Robin bickering about something, I hope it wasn't too serious..."
After some intense Kart action, Leaf and Min Min passed out on eachother, controllers still in hand. It was an adorable sight.
"How was your club?" Snake asked as Richter entered his room.
"It was fine. What have you been up to?" Richter deflected.
"I'm finally working my way through some comics that Otacon recommended a while ago."
Richter smirked. "You can't have me, so you're trying to rekindle an old flame?"
Snake laughed. "You know me."
Blues would end up bunking with Daisy that night, as the two bonded and talked about how cool they were. No, it actually devolved into chatting about their various problems in life, but that's a story for another day.
Zelda was in her room, still trying to process her interaction with Blues earlier. "What an odd and mysterious person."
Notes:
Palutena is allowed to break the fourth wall, yes. My Palutena is nigh-omnipotent, but only uses a small fraction of her power most of the time because she's lazy. She tends to get meta when drunk. This was going to be established in an earlier unfinished chapter.
And whoops, Palutena and Robin are starting to reflect my parents.
This chapter is pretty disjointed and kinda sucks, I'm going through a lot of shit.Rick Astley - 'Together Forever'

This chapter took forever to write, and ended up pretty short. It probably sucks too. Enjoy.

Chapter Text
Palutena woke up finally late in the morning, or perhaps it was early afternoon. She instinctively reached over, only to find an empty spot in the bed where Robin would normally be. Palutena's eyes widened, and she uttered a single word: "Fuck!"
Robin sighed as she stared at her phone. She was laying down on a couch, though of course not her own. The night before, she found herself crashing with Meta Knight and King Dedede. She had other friends who would probably make more sense to stay with, but some masochistic urge had drawn her to the healthiest and most wholesome couple she knew. She was awake the entire night, unable to take her attention off of her phone. She waited desperately for Palutena to come to her senses and send an apology message or something, but no message came.
Meta Knight entered her view, clad in oven mitts and carrying a sheet of cookies. "My apologies for intruding milady, but I thought some sweets might help to cheer you up."
Robin couldn't help but smile at the gesture. She sat up and nabbed one of the confections. "Thanks Meta, I really appreciate it."
Meta Knight took a seat beside her. "It's the King's family recipe, I'm quite fond of it."
"They're pretty good," Robin agreed, though with her mouth full it was muffled and rather incomprehensible. Meta Knight nonetheless got the gist of it.
Palutena sat in her bed, silently freaking out. She was torn; should she talk to Robin right now, or should she give her some space? By this point she had typed up and subsequently erased about 50 texts, none of them she deemed fit enough to send. Eventually she wound up throwing her phone across the room, causing it to instantly shatter into a million pieces.
"DAMMIT!"
Peach could hear Palutena's frustration from her room nextdoor. "Is everything alright??" she called out through the wall.
"NO, EVERYTHING IS NOT ALRIGHT!" Palutena yelled back. Peach was silent after that.
"Hey Meta... Do you and Dedede ever get into fights?" Robin asked, glancing at her phone once again.
Meta Knight thought for a moment. "We have tried to kill eachother on occasion, though usually mind control is involved."
Robin sighed. "That's... Not quite what I meant. Do you ever argue? Do you ever consider breaking up?"
"No. My personal philosophy for relationships is that the moment we start arguing, it sets a precedent for arguments, and thus such a relationship is not much pursuing. In other words, if we did argue then I would immediately move on. I do not want to be in a relationship that is not entirely positive. Of course, I do not expect others to follow this. Would you care to tell me about the specific problem you are having so that I may better help you?"
Robin sighed. "Palutena. I've been into her for a long time. I overlooked her flaws, blinded by my love. Now that we're together, I've come to re-evaluate things. She becomes somewhat of an asshole when she drinks, and while I've always just put up with it, now my patience is wearing thin. It's no longer endearing, it's just frustrating. I don't know what to do."
Meta Knight took a sip of tea, somehow drinking through his mask. "Robin, I cannot say that I have any experience with your situation, but I believe it would be best to just talk to her and explain your point of view."
Robin sighed again. "You're probably right. I was kinda hoping that she would apologize on her own though."
"Perhaps she recognizes her mistake, and thinks that you don't want to hear from her right now. Mayhaps she is just trying to give you some space."
Robin thought about this. "You may be on to something... Thanks Meta, I really appreciate it."
Meta Knight nodded. "Well, it appears that my work here is done," he said before disappearing.
Palutena sulked alone, curled up and hugging her knees, her face streaked with tears. She didn't have the energy to reassemble her phone, so she had no way to contact Robin for the time being. She didn't feel like she deserved to watch anything right now, so she really sat doing nothing, alone with her thoughts.
"Can we forget about the things I said when I was drunk," she silently sang to herself, the song that she just couldn't get out of her head. "Please tell me why..."
Suddenly there was a knock at the door. "Robin??" she exclaimed as she jumped to her feet. Upon opening the door however, Robin was nowhere to be seen. In fact, she didn't see anyone.
"Ahem, down here," said a voice. Palutena looked down to see the diminutive figure of Meta Knight standing there.
"Hurm?" She pondered what he would be doing here.
"I just want to let you know, Robin is safe, she stayed the night with me."
The goddess sighed. "Thank you for taking care of her. Can you let her know...that I'm sorry?"
The knight shook his head. "I think you should tell her yourself. She wants to talk to you, when you are ready to talk."
"I didn't think she would want to talk to me..."
"I figured you thought that way, and I explained to her as such. She understands."
Palutena closed her eyes. "I suppose I should go see her then..."
Palutena followed Meta Knight to his room. Robin turned to look towards the door when she heard it open. Seeing Palutena there, she averted her gaze somewhat.
"Hey Pals..." Robin muttered.
"Hey Rob..." Palutena greeted back awkwardly. "I um. I'm sorry."
"Do you really mean it?" Robin asked with a sigh.
"Yes. I was an ass, and it wasn't the first time. I'm...sorry. No more drinking, I love you and I don't want to lose you."
Robin looked to Palutena fully. She got up and approached her, then embraced her. Palutena was startled, but hugged back. The two stood there silently for a long time.
"That's all I wanted to hear," Robin finally whispered. "I don't want to spend another night without you."
"Woah, what's going on here?" In the doorway, there stood Marx, with Dedede right behind him.
"Okay, yep, time to leave, I'm not dealing with Marx today," Palutena remarked. Robin laughed and took her hand. The two walked off into the metaphorical sunset together.
Marx continued to stand there, watching them leave. "I feel like I missed something important there."
"Just a story that you aren't the main character of. Please leave them be," Meta Knight sighed.
"Ugh, not Blade Runner again, this is the fifth time this month," Palutena complained as Robin put on a movie for the two of them.
"You agreed to do anything to make amends," Robin said with a smirk. "Plus, it's one of my comfort movies and I really need it to calm down after everything."
"Finnne, I can't say no to you after all that. But can I at least pick which cut of the movie we watch?"
Robin shook her head. "Too late, I put on the theatrical cut, mwahahaha"
Palutena grumbled something about Harrison Ford's wooden narration. Everything was seemingly back to normal. For those two at least. Tune in next time to find out what Rosalina and Corrin were up to during all this!

Notes:
This is NOT the Corrin/Rosalina chapter. That one is taking forever to write for some reason. So have a short Palutena and Robin chapter. Sorry it's not much, it's so hard to focus on writing sometimes.

Chapter Text
"Hey Robin?"
Robin rolled over to look at Palutena, slightly amused. "Usually you're trying to sleep, and I'm the one bothering you. What's up, Pals?"
Palutena looked away. "So um, you're trans, right?" she asked awkwardly.
Robin snorted in laughter. "Pal. Yes, obviously I'm trans. I talk about it all the time. You've literally seen me naked countless times. Hell, just last night you were-"
"Yes, yes, I get it. That was rhetorical." Palutena sighed, burying her face in a pillow. "I just, want to know more, but I don't know what to ask."
"Oh."
"First it was you, then Artemis, and Lu... Being around you guys, for the first time I'm starting to question things about myself."
Robin gasped. "You're thinking of trans-ing your gender?!"
Palutena couldn't help but laugh a little at her wording. She proceeded to throw her pillow at Robin. "I don't know. I mean, I'm definitely not a man, and I don't intend to totally reject femininity, but there's something in the back of my mind telling me that something isn't right."
Robin threw the pillow back at her. "I see... Well, I'm always here to help you figure stuff out."
Palutena grabbed the pillow and hugged it to her chest. "I appreciate it. So um, how did you first figure out that you were trans? When did the thought first occur to you?"
Robin shrugged. "I had some trans friends for one thing. One time in the shower, the stray thought just came to me, what if I'm one of them? And then the thought just wouldn't go away, it was all I could think about. Finally one of my friends told me that no cis man thinks that hard about this stuff. I realized, oh fuck I'm a girl. That's about it honestly. I mean, I suppose there's a bit more to it that I don't want to get into."
Palutena sighed. Robin pulled her into a hug. "I just don't know what this says about me. I'm worried that I'm just subconciously coming up with this stuff for attention, or to fit in."
"That's a problem that a lot of trans people struggle with, even me. It can take time to push those worries away and really figure yourself out."
Palutena closed her eyes. "Let's pick this up tomorrow. I just realized that I don't have the energy to think about this shit right now."
Robin kissed her cheek. "It's stressful to talk about, but it's better than keeping it all inside. Goodnight, my love. I'll be here for you."
Morning came, and Robin wasted no time resuming the conversation. "So, how long ago did you start questioning things?"
"Fuck it's too early for this, lemme get back to sleep," Palutena grumbled. It didn't take long before the room was once again filled with the sounds of snoring. Robin sighed.
Noon came, and Robin shook Palutena awake.
"What do you waaant?" Palutena whined.
"It's time to wake up."
"No it's not."
Palutena was back to sleep once more. It was just one of those days, this wasn't uncommon for the goddess. It was usually days where she had obligations that she wanted to avoid. Other times she was just depressed and didn't want to deal with the world, although that was more common for Robin.
Evening rolled around. Robin had a trick up her sleeve to surely get Palutena's attention. She moved in closer, and brought her mouth up to her ear, where she whispered a single word: "Dinner."
Palutena shot awake. With a stretch and a yawn she said, "Good morning Robin. What's for food?"
Robin pulled out a box of pizza from somewhere. "So," she began as Palutena grabbed a slice.
"So what?" Palutena asked, mouth full.
"So about last night-"
Palutena shook her head. "Forget about last night. I don't know what I was talking about. It was dumb. I don't want to talk about it. Just forget it, okay?"
Robin sighed (how many sighs have been featured in this chapter so far?). "I once knew a Palutena who was outgoing and open about everything. What happened?"
"I don't knooow. I'm so scared of saying the wrong thing suddenly. My mind's all jumbled up. What's wrong with me?"
"Nothing is wrong with you, babe, remember that. Take a breath, take your time. We...don't have to talk about this right now."
Palutena took a breath. "You know, there are more genderless gods than there are gendered ones. Which doesn't make sense, within the infinite multiverse there shouldn't be more of one thing than another, but the gods of course defy all logic."
"That is interesting. And you think you might be one of them?"
Palutena sighed. "Maybe."
"Do you want me to try referring to you differently to see how it feels?"
The god shrugged. "I don't know what I want you to try referring to me as."
"I mean, I could use gender neutral terms for you, or something."
Palutena thought about this for a moment. "I guess. Man, gender is dumb, can I just be me and not worry about labels?"
"Sure, why not?"
"You know that meme that's like, 'I have no pronouns, do not refer to me'? That shit kinda resonates with me, you know?"
Robin nodded. "You do you, reject the rules of gender. So what then?"
"Well, when you're talking to me then there's no need to refer to me as anything. When talking about me, just use my name. We'll workshop this more along the way."
"You're acting way more confident than you were ten minutes ago," Robin observed.
"That's to be expected. The author is writing this across several nights, there's bound to be inconsistencies-"
"What have I told you about getting meta with me?"
"Sorry, sorry, force of habit. But really, you know, the more I talk the easier it is to talk. I swear that makes sense."
"Very well. Thank you for talking to me, I'm sure it's nice to vocalize some of these thoughts."
Palutena nodded impatiently. "Can I eat this pizza in peace now?"
Robin laughed. "Yes, I'm done interrogating you now. Want me to put on a movie?"
"Movie good. Masters of the Universe?"
"You've made me watch Masters of the Universe a million times. Is this because I forced you to re-watch Blade Runner the other day?"
Palutena shrugged. "It's literally the first thing that came to mind. Put on whatever you want, I don't really care."
"If you want an 80's Dolph Lundgren movie based on a popular character, then we're watching 1989's Punisher."
"You're such a dork, I love you. Sure, put it on. If we discuss this any further then I'll have finished the pizza before the movie even starts."
Robin smiled. "I love you too. Wait wait, save some of that pizza for me-"

Chapter 22: I Miss You
Summary:
Rosalina meets Corrin's sister, nothing could possibly go wrong.
Notes:
This chapter probably sucks, I rushed to finish it and didn't have a clear idea of where I was going.

Chapter Text
"Rosalina, it's time to wake up," Corrin said softly, placing a hand on their partner's shoulder to gently shake them awake.
Rosalina stirred, then finally opened their eyes. "Mm. G'mornig," they muttered sleepily.
Corrin smiled and planted a kiss on their forehead. "Don't forget, we are going out with my sister today."
Rosalina slowly sat up, yawning and rubbing their eyes. "That's right. How much have you told her about me? What should I expect?"
"For one thing... I made the mistake of referring to you as my girlfriend, so she will likely assume and misgender you... Just know that she doesn't mean anything by it, and once she knows better it shouldn't be a problem."
Rosalina sighed. "That's...fine. I'll just have to clear things up when I introduce myself."
Corrin nodded. "On that note, I have not told her about myself yet, so please only refer to me as 'she' in front of her for the time being."
"Got it. Are you planning on telling her though?" Rosalina asked.
Corrin hesitated. "...Eventually."
"Alright... Is there anything else I should keep in mind?"
"Hurm... I didn't really tell her anything specific about you. About her though, I should warn you that she can be a bit clingy, and will probably try to hug you. She also tends to be a bit flirtatious, but I'm hoping she won't say anything too bad to you. Other than that, I don't think there's really anything you should have to prepare for."
"Wait, did you just say 'Hurm' like Rorschach?" Rosalina asked, ignoring the rest.
"Rorschach?" Corrin tilted their head in confusion.
"Yeah, from Watchmen? It's one of the most significant comics- nevermind, it doesn't matter," Rosalina laughed.
Corrin just smiled softly and nodded, having no idea what they were talking about. "We should probably start getting ready."
...
Eventually, the two made their way to the front doors of the building. As soon as they stepped outside, Corrin was embraced by a tall purple-haired girl, who Rosalina could only imagine was the afformentioned sister.
"CORRIN! It's so wonderful to see you again, my dearest sister!" Camilla finally let go after a couple minutes, before turning to Rosalina. "Oh, you must be Rosalina! You're so cuute~"
Before they knew it, Rosalina was pulled into a tight hug. "Oh, um, hi," they greeted awkwardly, caught off guard.
Corrin smiled softly. "As you probably guessed, this is Camilla," they told Rosalina.
"It makes me so happy to see that my sister has finally found a girlfriend," Camilla said as she finally let go.
"Partner," Rosalina corrected quietly.
"Hm?"
"I'm um, not a girl..."
Camilla's smile dropped ever so slightly and she nodded. "Right. I'll keep that in mind."
Rosalina noticed the change in expression and winced. They always expected the worst whenever someone found out they were queer, though they tried to look unfazed.
"I just remembered that I forgot something, I'll be right back!" Corrin announced before running back inside. Rosalina cast them a look as if to say 'don't leave me here' though Corrin didn't notice.
Everything was fine, Rosalina told themself. They only knew this girl for about two minutes, they shouldn't expect the worst. She was gay, and she was supportive of her trans sister even if that didn't end well. Why was Rosalina worrying? They supposed this was the closest they'd get to meeting a partner's parents, so worrying about everything was natural.
"So..." Camilla said after a moment of Rosalina staring off into space. "I'm not going to bite, there's no need to worry. You look a little shook, I swear I'm not scary."
Rosalina nodded meekly and tried to think of something to say as they waited for Corrin. What even was small talk? "So... About Corrin uh, they- she has fangs, doesn't like garlic, and always goes to sleep after me and wakes up before me, maybe she doesn't even sleep? Is she like, a vampire? Not that there's anything wrong with that, vampires are hot- not that I'm calling your sister hot, that would be inappropriate-"
Camilla burst into laughter. "You're so awkward, it's adorable, overthinking everything. No she's not a vampire, she has fangs because she's a dragon, and the rest is just personal quirks."
"Wait, Corrin is a dragon?!" Rosalina's eyes went wide. "That's so metal..."
"You should ask her to transform for you~" Camilla added with a wink.
"...Why did you wink there? Is that like, a private thing? What are you trying to imply?" Rosalina asked. Camilla just smiled and shrugged.
Corrin finally came back after what felt like forever. "Hey Rosalina, here, I noticed that you forgot to take your pills this morning in the rush to get ready." They held out their hand, and Rosalina nabbed the contents. Corrin proceded to hand them a bottle of water.
Rosalina blushed. For some reason, publicly acknowledging the fact that they had daily medications to take was embarassing. Probably something to do with looking weak, surely some kind of internalized psychological thing. They were again overthinking things. Every second under Camilla's gaze felt like an hour. Why was this woman so scary?
"Aww, look at you being so responsible, taking care of your girlfriend, you're really growing up," Camilla said to Corrin with a smile.
There was that word again, 'girlfriend'. Why did it bother Rosalina so much, why couldn't they just be normal?
Corrin finally sensed a little bit of Rosalina's discomfort, and gently took their hand. "Partner," Corrin corrected for them.
"Right," Camilla said, brushing it off.
"Should we um, get going?" Rosalina asked.
"Of course. So, I assume Corrin already told you about Elise?" Camilla asked. Rosalina nodded. "Good, I wouldn't want to have to explain, it's...hard to talk about. Usually what me and Corrin do when we get together like this, is get a quick lunch and catch up, before visiting the grave and all that. Have you already eaten?"
"No," Rosalina answered, clutching their partner's hand tight.
The trio found themselves at some small remote diner. "This was Elise's favorite place to eat," Camilla had explained. Rosalina was a bit confused; the diner obviously wasn't located in her homeworld, how often did Corrin and their family travel between universes?
"So, what have you been up to lately?" Corrin asked Camilla.
"Oh you know, this and that. I went on a date with a cute girl the other day and that went well; we're planning on going out again next week. Other than that, I've been getting into drawing more, so that's been eating up most of my time."
Corrin smiled. "That is nice to hear. Rosalina and I also went on a date the other day, we went to a neat arcade." Rosalina simply looked down at the table.
"Aww, that's really sweet. That sort of environment wasn't too overwhelming for you though?" Camilla asked with some concern.
"Rosalina makes everything more manageable. They gave me some earmuffs to help with the loud noises, and they stayed by my side the whole time so I wouldn't get lost or anything like that. I don't think I could go there alone."
Rosalina was blushing once again, and Corrin gave them a side hug.
Camilla grinned. "Can I take a picture? You two look soo cute together right now."
"Um, sure," Rosalina answered, now looking up at her.
Camilla swiftly pulled out a phone and snapped a photo, the other two put on smiles. Once she was done, Corrin's smile dropped. "Digital photography is bad-" they began.
Camilla sighed. "Yes yes, digital photography is inferior to analogue because of the compression and blah blah blah. I know, you've explained plenty of times. I get it, but this is just much more convenient than carrying around a separate camera."
"Is this just like your aversion to streaming movies?" Rosalina asked, to which Corrin nodded.
"You're seriously like, the only person who cares about that stuff," Camilla remarked.
"Whatever..." Corrin muttered, looking away.
Camilla reached out and put her hand on their shoulder. "Oh don't be like that, it's endearing. Right, Rosalina?"
"Everything about Corrin is endearing," Rosalina added with a smile.
"You're sweet," Corrin said, taking Rosalina's hand.
Finally a waiter approached the table, who Rosalina instantly recognized.
"Hm. My name is Shadow, I'll be your server today. Can I- Oh, Camilla and Corrin, what a pleasant surprise." There stood the infamous black and red hedgehog, Rosalina had so many questions.
"Hey Shad," Camilla greeted. He didn't seem pleased, but maybe that's just how he always looked.
"Why is Shadow the Hedgehog here?" Rosalina whispered to Corrin.
"Oh, you're already aquainted?" Corrin asked.
"Certainly not, I have never seen this person before in my life!" Shadow answered with some annoyance.
"Um hi, I'm Rosalina, Corrin's partner," Rosalina greeted awkwardly.
"I didn't ask. Hmph." Shadow crossed his arms.
"He's really quite friendly once you get to know him," Corrin reassured.
"Ahem. Can I please take your orders?"
Everyone placed their orders, though Rosalina noticed that he didn't bother to write it down. "Shouldn't you, um, write down the orders?"
Shadow scoffed. "I have an impeccable memory. I'll have you know that I never forget anything. Hmph."
Rosalina thought back to all the times Shadow lost his memories throughout the Sonic games, but decided not to say anything further.
Shadow walked away, leaving the others to themselves. "I can't believe I just met Shadow the Hedgehog," Rosalina remarked.
"How do you know him again?" Corrin asked curiously.
"He's one of Sonic's friends, he's featured in a bunch of video games," Rosalina explained.
"Ah. I suppose he does look like he would belong to Sonic's world."
After only a couple of minutes, the hedgehog was back with the gang's food.
"That was so quick," Rosalina said in amazement.
"Hmph, it's called Chaos Control. Read a book sometime."
Rosalina frowned. "I know what it is, I've played Sonic Adventure 2, geez."
Shadow suddenly seemed interested. "Oh, so you're a man of culture, I see."
Rosalina tensed at the word 'man'. It was somewhat refreshing after continuously being called a girl, but it still made them uncomfortable.
"Thanks Shad, you can go now," Camilla shooed him away.
"Kids these days have no respect, hmph," Shadow muttered as he skated away.
"That was so surreal," Rosalina said, then took a sip of their chocolate milk. "So, how did you guys discover this place?"
"There's this merchant named Anna," Corrin started, "She frequently travels between universes for work. One time, we followed her, and we ended up here. Everyone who works here came from a different universe, it's quite fascinating."
"That...raises even more questions," Rosalina began. "Multiversal travel is no small feat, I didn't experience it until Smash. Is this Anna some sort of god or other higher being? How were you able to follow her? Now, Shadow traveling between universes does make a little sense..."
Corrin smiled. "Don't put too much thought into it. There's no logic to anything here."
Rosalina just sort of stared in silence for a moment.
Camilla looked at the two. "You know, Corrin has never been one to smile often, or otherwise express herself. You really seem to bring out the best in her, from what I've seen."
"Oh, well, um. Honestly, 'Rin has helped me out with that stuff too."
Corrin nodded. "We help eachother."
"I've literally never seen a sweeter couple," Camilla said with a smile.
Eventually, the trio moved on from their meal, and soon enough they found themselves walking through a cemetary.
This was Rosalina's first time walking amongst the dead. Sure their parents were long gone, but they never got the chance to visit like this. The atmosphere made them sad.
After a short walk, they found it. A large headstone, in which the name appeared to be crossed out with spray paint, and the name "ELISE" was scrawled above.
"She was deadnamed even in death," Camilla muttered solemnly.
"But Camilla took care of that," Corrin said, putting an arm around her shoulder.
"I wish I did more for her though..." Camilla sighed.
Rosalina wasn't sure what they were supposed to do right now, so they just stood awkwardly and listened to the others.
Corrin took a knee in front of the grave and closed her eyes. "Elise, you were one of the greatest people I've ever known. It is a tragedy that others refused to know the real you. You will always live on in my heart. My sister, I love you, and I miss you. I wish you could have met my partner, Rosalina, I think you two would've gotten along great."
Rosalina started to tear up, and looked away. Camilla patted them on the back to comfort them.
Camilla cleared her throat. "Elise, I'm sorry for everything I've done. I know you wouldn't have wanted me to blame myself, so I'm sorry about that too. I swear to keep your memory alive, and to remind everyone who you were. I love you, sis."
"I suppose I should say something?" Rosalina asked.
"Only if you want to," Corrin told them.
Rosalina closed their eyes. "Well um, Elise, I never got the pleasure of meeting you, but you sound like a lovely person. I'm sure you'd be happy to know that Corrin isn't alone, I promise to be good to her and take care of her for you. Um, may you rest in peace..."
The three took turns placing flowers by the grave.
"I love you all," Corrin said with a sniffle as they pulled the other two into a hug.
"I love you too," Rosalina and Camilla said in unison. They all had tears in their eyes by this point.
"Oh, I meant to give this to you!" Camilla said, breaking up the hug. She reached into her bag ane held out a small photograph depicting Corrin, Camilla, and Elise all smiling.
Corrin took it with a smile. "I remember this picture. Thank you, I will have to get this framed."
"Yeah, I found it while I was cleaning the other day. I think it might be the only photo of Elise, as Elise. I figured you'd like to hold onto it."
"It's a very sweet picture," Rosalina said as Corrin showed it to them.
"Anyways, we should get out of here, it'll be getting dark soon," Camilla said.
"I didn't realize we had been out for so long," Corrin said, glancing at a pocketwatch that Rosalina hadn't seen her with before.
"I gave up trying to make sense of the passage of time years ago," Camilla remarked.
It was nighttime as the trio approached the Smash mansion. Nobody else was outside at this hour it seemed.
"Well, I guess this is goodbye. It was nice meeting you," Rosalina told Camilla.
Camilla pulled Rosalina into a tight hug. "Likewise, dear. So, when's the wedding? And when can I expect to be an aunt?"
Rosalina blushed hard at that. They were too flustered to answer.
"We haven't talked about marriage, but it probably will not be for a long time, if at all," Corrin answered. "As for you being an aunt, I don't believe either of us are ready to be parents, and I for one am not particularily interested in any case."
Camilla laughed. "I was just teasing, I don't want a serious answer. You two can go run along now, it was nice spending the day together.
Corrin hesitated. "One thing before we part ways... I've been meaning to tell you, I'm not a girl either."
"You've corrupted my sister!" Camilla glared at Rosalina.
"Please don't be mad at Rosalina," Corrin said with a frown.
"I'm not, I'm sorry. I just wasn't expecting that. Well, thanks for letting me know I guess."
"You sound displeased," Corrin said, taking Rosalina's hand.
Camilla shook her head. "I swear I'm not. I want you to be yourself. This stuff is just new to me. I mean I guess it's not. I don't know. Let's talk about this more later." She turned to walk away.
Rosalina frowned and walked Corrin inside.
"Your sister seems nice, but she kinda makes me uncomfortable too," Rosalina said as they made it to their bedroom.
"Yeah, I know..."
"Thank you for inviting me out today though," Rosalina smiled.
Corrin sat down on the bed. "Of course. I...think I am ready for bed. Today was long. It was nice though.
Rosalina sat down beside them and pulled them into a hug. "I hear you. Goodnight, 'Rin."
"Goodnight, Rosalina~"

Chapter 23
Notes:
Here's a light Artemis/Lu chapter, they haven't been in the spotlight in a while!
Chapter Text
Aremis and Lu sat beside eachother on the bed, deep in a game of Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo. It was no Eternal Champions, Lu thought, but it was good enough.
The two had implemented a system into their lives, in which they would pick a random fighting game any time they needed to make a decision. Right now, they were fighting over whether or not they should check up on Palutena and Robin. It had been a few days since their fight, and there was no word from them since. Lu was worried; Artemis was too, but she insisted that they should keep their distance for now.
Lu's Blanka was just about to finish off Artemis' Vega, when there was a knock at the door. This caught Lu off guard enough that Artemis managed to quickly turn things around and take him out. Lu glared at her, as Artoo just smiled and got up to answer the door.
Behind the door was Palutena and Robin.
"Oh hey, uh, what's up?" Artemis asked, a bit surprised.
"We haven't heard from you guys in a few days and started to worry," Palutena explained. Artemis looked back at Lu with a scowl, as Lu just smiled smugly.
"SOMEBODY insisted that we give you two some space," Lu said with an eyeroll.
Art shrugged. "Things seemed pretty heated with you two, I didn't want to get in the way."
"Fair enough. Sorry you guys had to see that, but everything is good now," Robin told them.
Palutena stepped further inside, and looked over at the game screen. "Dude, why would you ever play as Vega? He sucks."
"He's pretty though," Artemis answered simply.
Palutena laughed. "Can't argue with that."
"Looks like you've got some competition Lu," Robin smirked.
"Artemis would never leave me for a video game character," Lu stated.
"You are a video game character though, we all are," Palutena retorted.
"This is getting out of hand..." Artemis muttered.
"Anyways," Robin said, taking Palutena's arm, "We just wanted to check on you two. We can get going now."
Lu got up and pulled everyone into a group hug, before seeing them off.
"And with that, I believe your win is rendered moot, and thus I still have more wins in Street Fighter than you," Lu said as they sat down once more.
Artemis scoffed. "I don't think that's how that works, but whatever. I still have more wins in Way Of The Warrior."
"You are the champion of a game that no one has heard of, I am proud of you," Lu smirked.
Artemis laughed. "Okay, you're not wrong."
"You know, I think I'm starting to get sick of fighting games. Too much oversaturation in the past few weeks."
"Honestly me too, I just didn't want to be the one to say it," Artemis said, looking relieved.
"So... What do we do now? What's another competitive game genre that doesn't take too long, that has enough variation? Stacking block puzzle games like Tetris and Puyo?"
Artemis shuddered. "No Tetris. I still have dreams of it from my last Tetris binge. It gets in your head. If we start playing those types of games frequently, I'll go mad."
Lu nodded. "Duly noted. I don't know then."
"We can figure it out later, it's not that important."
"And in the meantime...?"
Artemis shrugged. "Maybe we could go out somewhere?"
"That is always an option. I am not sure if I really want to go out right now though."
Artemis slumped back in the bed. "I feel you. I don't feel like doing anything right now honestly."
Lu leaned back in the bed with her. "Doing nothing is fine."
"It's just one of those days, you know?" Artemis rested her head against Lu's shoulder.
"Yup."
Suddenly, Robin barged back into the room. "HELP."
"What uh, what's goin on?" Artemis asked, sitting up again.
"Well you see, I was practicing with my sword since I haven't used it in a while-"
"You should train with me again sometime," Lu chimed in.
Robin nodded. "Right. Anyways, long story short, I accidentally cut off some of Palutena's hair, and now Palutena is pissed."
Artemis face palmed. "Can't she just magic it back?"
"Palutena has a self imposed rule against using magic to change their own body in any way."
"How can we help?" Lu inquired.
Artemis sighed. "Is this an actual problem that will impact your relationship, or an exaggerated cartoon-esque problem?"
Robin shrugged. "I...don't actually know yet. If I'm being honest, I ran immediately and didn't see Palutena's reaction. But I can assume that they're really mad!"
Just then, Palutena showed up at the door nonchalantly. "Oh there you are Robin. Why'd you run off like that? I didn't get the chance to tell you that I actually kinda dig this new look."
"Oh you," Robin laughed.
"Well that was fast, and anticlimactic," Artemis muttered. "Can you two get out of my room now? I'm busy doing nothing."
Palutena stepped back. "Sure, sure. But you know, we should all hang out later, it's been a while. Maybe play some Mario Kart or something."
"Forget Mario Kart, we should play Star Wars: Super Bombad Racing," Robin suggested.
Palutena scoffed. "Oh my gosh, you fuckin' nerd. What, were there no Star Trek racing games?"
"We've been over this. You don't get to call me a nerd, you can be just as bad as me sometimes."
Artemis rolled her eyes. "Sure we can hang out later, I don't care about the specifics, you can sort this out in your own room."
"Why are you so eager to be left alone, here with Lu, I wonder? You're not planning anything unsavory, are you?" Palutena asked with a smirk.
"No, I swear I just want to sit around doing nothing in peace. Right, Lu?" Artemis glanced over, only to find that Lu had fallen asleep some time in the last couple of minutes.
"You're so boring," Palutena sighed. "I thought I raised you better than to literally do nothing."
"Well technically I don't think you raised me at all-" Artemis started, "-Wait, this doesn't matter, just get out of here."
"Fine, fine. But Mario Kart at 7, don't forget." Palutena turned to leave, and found that Robin had apparently left already, probably the first time Artemis told them to leave.
"Well, I'm glad they're back to their usual selves," Artemis muttered to herself, now left alone.
Chapter 24: The future of PLC (an unfortunate update)
Chapter Text
Hello everyone, it's me, the author. Thank you all for your support over the past couple of years, it means a lot to know that my silly little story has brought enjoyment to so many people.
I'll get to the point: I don't think I can write this anymore. I can't keep track of all the characters and subplots. Trying to go back and read previous chapters makes me cringe. This story is just so off the wall at times.
I may come back to this someday, maybe I'll finish some of my unfinished chapters, I'm not definitively cancelling this, I just don't know when I'll ever regain interest in this.
I have another queer Smash Bros fic called "Come Back When You're Not Busy". It's more grounded and structured, I'm slowly working on the next chapter.
There's also another fic I've been trying to get off the ground, it's one of those multiversal DanganRonpa stories, with Blues (from Megaman) as one of the POV characters. Be on the lookout for that if that's your cup of tea.
I Wish I had more to say. I guess if anyone wants to write their own thing using my ideas or interpretations of characters, feel free, I'd love to here about it.
