Human!Doors Oneshots

Chapter 3: Rushing Over (To Beat Your Stupid Ass)

Summary:

Dupe should know by now that messing with the younger brother of one of the strongest and fastest members of the Hotel is not a good idea.

But in case he doesn’t, Rush is always here to remind him.

Notes:

CW: Gender dysphoria, and an asshole (unknowingly) exploiting it to make his victim mad.

Chapter Text

“Ha! Dumbass.”

Dupe stood over Ambush, smug. His victim was sprawled out on the floor, having just been tricked by one of his fake doors.

“Very funny, asshole.

He tried to get up and walk away, continuing his janitoring, but Dupe followed him. He was his favorite target, if only because it was very easy to get the reaction he wanted out of him.

“Now, now, now, don’t be a sourpuss! I’m only having a little fun! Is that illegal?”

“Leave me alone...”

He was ignored.

“Y’know, I don’t understand what you have against me. Don’t you have someone else to annoy?”

“Dawww, but why would I ever pass up the chance to talk with old Shorty over here?”

Ambush audibly growled. “Shut up. I’m the same height as you.”

“Yeah, only because you wear those boots! Without them, you’re a tiny, pathetic mess!”

A familiar glare of anger was starting to form in his eyes. “Stop it.”

“Ohohoh! Looks like I struck a nerve! Of course, I know what else you hate.

“Like what?

“Your voice is so high-pitched; you sound like a child! You face never grows any hair, and, well...”

“What? Well, what?

“You could pass off as a girl with how feminine you are.”

This was the final straw. Ambush threw a punch at the aggressor, Dupe stepping back and dodging it. “Missed me!”

More punches were thrown, each one missing by a little bit.

“HA! That never gets old! Seeya later, girlie!

Dupe continued to laugh maniacally, looking for the next person to bother.

His stupid, smug grin.

It all made him so angry.

...

After work, he went back to his room. He flopped onto his bed, grabbing at his hair, this close to pulling it out of his head.

He grabbed a pillow, punching it.

“Stupid... Asshole...”

He continued to beat up the innocent pillow, trying to hold back the urge to cry. After all, if Dupe found out, that was one more thing to make fun of him for.

The door slowly creaked open.

“‘Ello? You in there, Bush?”

Ambush snapped his head at the sudden intruder in his room, that being Rush, who had heard noises inside and wanted to see if he was okay. He looked like a mess, manically holding a pillow, hair frazzled, tears clearly forming in his eyes.

“What do you want?”

Rush sat down next to him. “What’s wrong?”

“Excuse me?”

“You only beat up your pillow when you’re mad about something. What’s wrong?”

Ambush could barely hold it in anymore. He hugged his brother, loudly sobbing into his shoulder. “I-I- He- Dupe- He said- I just- I-”

Rush patted him on the head. “Ah, Dupe was being mean to ya’ again?”

“... Y-Yeah...”

Rush got up from the bed. “I’ll have a word with ‘im. Alright? You should probably get some rest for now.”

“... T-Thanks.”

“No problemo.”

...

Dupe was in his own room, laying on his bed and kicking his legs like a schoolgirl hearing the latest gossip.

“Classic Dupe. Always with the bright ideas.”

He thought to himself. “Maybe I should go see what he’s doing again...?”

There was knocking on the door.

“Come in!”

Rush walked in; a stare fixed directly on the perpetrator. “Hello, Dupe.”

“Well, if it isn’t the Hotel Supervisor! What can I do for you today?”

“Don’t play that card with me. I know what you did.”

“I have no idea what you’re talking about!” He chuckled, obviously lying.

“Well, let me give you a reminder. Ambush told me you said some pretty bad things to him.”

Dupe rolled his eyes. “What, I was only having a little fun! Is that illegal!?”

“You made ‘im burst out in tears!

“Well, he needs to learn to take a joke! He’ll never make it in life if he can’t learn to make fun of himself.”

“How is that a joke!?

He chuckled, hopping off his bed and getting in his face. “It was hilarious! I don’t see why you’re defending him!”

“Maybe it’s because ’e’s my brother?

This was the first thing in this entire conversation that made Dupe visibly sweat. He had been so caught up in his joy that he had failed to account for that fact. “... O-Oh, right. I-I forgot.”

Rush slowly approached him, trying to back away, realizing his mistake. “N-Now, wait a minute, maybe we can negotiate this...!”

He swung a punch to Dupe’s face. He tried to dodge, but Rush was known for his inhuman speed. The hit connected, knocking him back to the wall.

Before he could react, a swift kick to his nuts was also delivered, causing him to crumble to the floor, too focused on the pain to even yell or make any coherent noise for a while.

Stupid... Asshole... Just you wait... Until I tell Seek that-”

“That what? That you bullied one of ‘is sons into a tearful mess?”

Dupe was silent, contemplating how that decision would probably go.

“That’s what I thought.”

Rush slowly walked away from the seething Dupe and to the doorway. “And I’ll be willing to do even worse if you try something like that again. Got it?

“... Yes, sir...”
