The cries from another fallen victim echoed in the cold dark woods. Another victim had fallen for the illusive appearance from an angel. You stood in cold silence as you stared at the lifeless body of a mortal.

Putting your hands to your sides, you felt yourself go back to normal. A look of distortion and uncanny horror that belongs to an entity that hid under gentle clothing.

Crouching down on the ground, placing your hand delicately on the lifeless mortal. Your hand glowed in white as you dissolved the body, taking away the leftover energy of the victim. Once the body was gone, you felt the same energy flow in your body.

Standing up from the ground, you placed your hands in praying position, hoping the fallen soul you collected will do good for you. Letting out a soft exhale, you stared in the area with a resting face.

Your voided eyes bore into the dark, quiet woods. During the time you wandered endlessly in the woods, you've grown bored. Silencing others was getting boring, and you wanted to do so much more.

You began to slowly walk, taking in the gentle quietness, hearing the soft grass crunch under your feet. Something inside of you wanted to go somewhere new.

But would it be the same? Maybe it's time to go to another realm? Would you even feel different if you travelled to another place? Maybe I'm trapped here.

The many victims on this planet were the same. Every encounter, they would try to run or convince you to not be your next victim. None of them ever fought back.

When you've gotten bored with the victims you were haunting, you create the alternate of that victim and send it to the targeted mortal.

After you pondered yourself as you mindlessly walked in the woods, you stopped and closed your eyes. You felt the environment change around you, teleporting to a black space.

Opening your eyes, the space envelopes the area, hearing your soft footsteps hit the floor. Each step you took made white flowers sprout from the ground, emitting a soft glow that made a trail.

Getting closer to your wanted location, you stopped when many portal openings surrounded you. Each of them emitted a gentle hum, watching the black and white swirls circle in them.

You took your time to render what portal you would go through, never really traveled away from earth. Once you made your choice, you walked towards a portal that piqued your interest.

Stopping a few feet away from the opening, the black and white swirls turned into soft, bright colors. There were seven different colors that were counted. You've never seen anything this colorful before.

'Let's see what I come across here...'

Gently inhaling and exhaling, you entered the portal, hearing a soft pixelated ring echo, like it was from a video game.

The city lights glowed softly in the night of Station Square. The sounds of cars driving echoed in the night as the people walked around.

A portal opened near an area that was littered with trees. It emitted a hum as you exited out of the portal, feeling the newfound ground under your feet. The first thing you saw in the area were colors.

Colors that you never seen shined this brightly before in the night sky. In your dimension, the night sky was dull and depressing. Even when you're out of the woods, nothing shined from buildings or streetlights. Just darkness.

While walking around, the atmosphere felt alive, energetic. Way different from the silent, dull and voided from your world. Yet this was still earth.

Your thoughts come to a stop when you see a two-story mansion in the distance. The inside was dark, and the area was gated. Behind the house were two pools that lit up a blue hue in the backyard.

Walking slowly at the newfound area, you see something that was heading straight towards the pools. Once it made contact, it dived into the water, creating a big splash. Narrowing your eyes, you see something struggling to escape the water.

Once you stopped a few feet from the second pool, you saw a small animal that was covered in blue that wore red shoes. Its eyes widened in realization when it saw you staring at them.

Swimming to the surface, it tried to grab the ledge, but it couldn't hang on. Before the animal could sink back into the water, you grabbed its gloved hand and pulled them out.

The small animal had blue fur, green eyes. Getting a closer look, you saw that it was a hedgehog. Its body was shaking from the cold water, making itself struggle. Raising your hand, you gently caressed its spiky quills, causing them to stop.

The hedgehog stared with curiosity, never seeing someone that looked very differently. You wore white robes that complimented your pale skin color. Half-lidded eyes stared back, seeing the confusion in your eyes.

"Are you alright?" you asked in a gentle tone, causing the hedgehog to slowly nod, still keeping its eyes on you. "Yeah, I'm alright" the hedgehog spoke, causing you to cock a brow.

'He can understand me and talk as well... What kind of place did that dimension take me?'

Stopping your thoughts, you stood up, seeing that his eyes widened in shock. You were way taller than him. He found you more interesting as you emitted a gentle white glow in the night.

"Do you have a name?" you questioned, causing him to nod with a smile. "Yeah, I'm Sonic the Hedgehog" taking in the new name, you introduced yourself to him.

"My name is [Name]. Do you know what this place is?" your words caused him to shake his head at a no. "I don't know what this place is. I don't even know how I got here in the first place" he replied.

'Did we enter the same world at the same time?'

"You know, you're the only one that hasn't looked at me weird. As a matter of fact, I've never seen someone like you before. You're more... angelic and off worldly" his words caused a faint smile to form on your lips.

"Well, I'm not really a human in this world" you replied, making sure to say the right words. Walking away from the pool, a light emerges from the darkness in the house. A shadow opened the glass door, revealing a young boy.

"Hey! Are you two alright?!" the boy announced as he rushed his way down the outside stairs. He stopped a few feet away when he sees a blue hedgehog and a tall human standing in front of the pool.

"Yeah! We're alright" Sonic replied, causing the boy's eyes to widen. "Woah, you can talk-" his words were interrupted when Sonic quickly placed his gloved hand on his mouth. "Be quiet!"

The boy nodded before he sparked a conversation to the both of you. The boy's name was Chris as you held a confused look in your eyes. He... wasn't afraid of you. Maybe the boy was that innocent.

The conversation stopped when you all heard a voice emit from the house. "Master Chris! What are you doing outside?!" the boy urgently told you and Sonic to go on his roof.

"N-nothing, Mr. Tanaka! I thought I saw something in the water. Heh heh..." he uttered some lies to his butler as he made his way back inside. You both watched the man follow him back inside.

After the lights flickered off, you looked up in the night sky. The stars littered the sky as it glowed lightly. Knowing that the boy would probably see you both in the morning, you gently laid on the rooftop.

You felt a gentle tap on your shoulder from Sonic. "So where are you from?" he asked, watching you ponder on your answer. "I came from a different world. It was way different from this"

A shocked expression formed his face before putting on a wide smile. "Hey, that's what happened to me as well! We have something in common" you emitted a rare chuckle from his words.

You both quietly conversed through the night, talking about how your worlds were different from each other and the one you're in. You've pondered on your thoughts as the conversation died down.

'I wonder how this world will affect me... Will I still have to deal with alternates? Will I find people that aren't afraid of me?'

Before you know it, you find yourself enveloped in a calming darkness. You were asleep. Something that you didn't need but couldn't find out why you were exhausted all of a sudden.

Sonic's eyes watched you quietly slumber on the roof. He looked closely at your soft relaxed expression. He saw dark eyebags that plastered lightly under your eyes.

For some reason, he felt something inside of him that he would never have felt in his life. It was different from his pink companion, but he decided to ignore it, feeling himself lull into a gentle rest.

•❅──────✧❅✦❅✧──────❅•

Morning time came around, the sun shone gently onto the city station. Sonic was the first one awake as heard Chris talking to his mother on the phone. Next to him was your sleeping figure. He wondered if you've gotten plenty of rest before you entered this world.

"Well, mom. There's something that I did which I kinda not supposed to do" Sonic turned to Chris as he heard the boy talk about finding a cat that was stuck in the water. He knew that he was talking about him.

After he hung up from the phone, he nervously chuckled when the blue hedgehog stared at him with an annoyed look. "I'm a hedgehog, not a cat" he hissed, hearing Chris try to explain that he couldn't tell her the full truth.

The phone ranged once again as he watched Chris speak to his father. He laid down again, letting out a sigh of boredom. 'I wonder if I should wake them up. They look so peaceful...'

Staring at your figure for a bit, he stood up and stretched, hearing the soft pops from his joints. "I should go for a run right quick," he muttered as he hopped out of the roof and speeded his way into the fields.

After many laps on the field, he made his way back on the rooftop. He could still hear Chris talking to his father as he watched your sleeping form.

What he noticed was that you didn't look like you were asleep. Your body was still. No movement, as if he found a soulless body. Were you even breathing?

Scooting his way next to you, he gently nudges your back, trying to wake you up. He smiled when he saw your face softly scrunch with annoyance.

He watched your eyes flutter open, voided black pupils made their way to his face. "Hey, I'm just making sure you were still alive" he watched your eyes close once more before they opened again.

As you sat up, your eyes squinted as you took in the morning light. This was the first time you saw the sun shining brightly. Back in your world, you would rarely see the sun rise up.

Your thoughts were interrupted when Sonic gently grabbed your hand. "Let's see what Chris is doing" he watched you nod as he led you the way into the house.

The living room was spacious as you both sat down on the couch. The tv showed the news about a certain blue hedgehog speeding through the city. You hear a pair of footsteps coming towards you both.

It was revealed to be Chris and an old man that followed from behind. "Hey guess what? A big, blue hedgehog came out of nowhere and outran the S-Team yesterda-"

The man's words came to a stop when he saw you and Sonic staring at each other in silence. "B-blue. Just like him..." he muttered before he grabbed Sonic.

You watched as Chris tried to calm his grandfather down as he pulled out a screwdriver. "I have to see how this thing is put together!" nothing worked as the hedgehog jumped out of his grasp and landed on your lap.

You blinked slowly as you gently scratched behind his ear, seeing that he calmed down as he emitted a soft purr.

"And who might you be, mysterious person?" Chris's grandfather asked as he took in your appearance. "This is [Name], grandpa. I saw them at the same time when Sonic arrived!"

His grandfather stared at you for a moment before he flooded you with questions. Your face formed with confusion as he questioned you.

"Please, leave us alone!" The screams of a little girl were shouted from the tv as it showed an orange rabbit hugging a small creature as they were rescued by firefighters.

"It's Cream and Cheese!" he shouted as he jumped in front of the tv. "So me and [Name] aren't the only ones who were transported here. We have to save them!"

He quickly grabbed your hand as he rushed towards the garage but stopped when Chris blocked their way. "You can't! They'll capture and lock you up!"

Him and his grandfather explained that the area where they kept Cream was surrounded by the national defense force. They insisted on going with you both.

•❅──────✧❅✦❅✧──────❅•

You and Sonic were in a vehicle with Chris and his grandfather as they drove to the area that was in the middle of a deserted road. Chuck gave Sonic an Infrared Scope.

He placed it where his ear was before jumping out the car and runs off with incredible speed. Chuck tried to catch up with him, but it wasn't going as fast as Sonic.

Since you knew that the mission was going to be in a rush, you hopped off the car as well. Chris and his grandfather's eyes widened as your body disappeared into thin air.

Sonic made his way to the main building, hearing the instructed orders that he had to go through the vents. "Also, [Name] is with you as well!" Once he made it out of the vents, he saw you standing there, as if you were waiting for him.

"Woah! When did you get here?!" he whispered. You just smiled gently as you pointed to the security camera that watched every bit of the hallway.

You silently told Sonic to stay back as you walked down the hallway, touching the bottom part of the cameras, emitting a low ringing noise. You were re-wiring the footage to make it look like it was a different hallway.

Sonic watched with amazement as he quickly rushed through the hallways with you beside him. 'That was so cool! How did they do that?!'

His thoughts came to a stop when you both heard the frightening screams from the rabbit. Sonic began to think of a plan to rescue his friend from the scientist, but he didn't want to get reckless.

His thoughts came to an end as the lights turned off all around the facility. You quickly ran into the room, breaking the glass cage and grabbed Cream and Cheese.

When you were out of sight, you placed them down, noticing that they were staring at you. "You alright?" you asked in a gentle tone as a gentle smile formed on Cream's lips.

"I am. Thank you for saving us. What's your name?" she asked, her voice filled with curiosity. Giving your name, she thanked you again before complimenting you on how pretty you were.

The small blue creature in her arms chirped with joy as it nuzzled against your face, emitting a soft chuckle. The gentle moment came to an end as the sounds of blaring alarms filled the hallways.

You quickly grabbed the three as you told them to hang on. Before Sonic can question you, they are suddenly teleported out of the facility. Sonic couldn't believe what you had done.

'I wonder what else they can do...'

The sounds of a plane were heading towards them. "Wait, it's the Tornado!" he pointed to the sky as you see a yellow fox driving the plane. "Tails down here!"

The fox nodded before he headed down to the ground, making you both hop onto the plane. You quickly put Cream and Cheese in the seat behind Tails as you and Sonic sat on the wings of the plane.

•❅──────✧❅✦❅✧──────❅•

When everyone arrived back at the mansion, Cream had introduced you to her special friend, Chao. "Thank you for saving me, [Name]" she then gave you a hug, making you gently pat her head.

Tails had introduced himself as well to you, Chris and his grandfather, learning that this was Sonic's best friend. As everyone conversed with each other, you find yourself in your thoughts.

'This world is very different from mine. I've never thought I would find myself helping others... I even smiled. I really only do that when I go into 'that' form... Maybe I can get used to this'
