Despite their violent nature, Sonic starts developing a bond with the sea creatures, particularly Nine, the one who looks like the brother Sonic lost. Even stranger than that, he's also forging relationships with the workers at the university and the people connected to them.
But the truth of who he is will come out eventually, and the fallout might be impossible to handle if he doesn't figure out Clutch wants in all of this.

He envied them,--flowers, they were created without any expectation, no restrictions or demands. They were simply allowed to be. He was the hero of Mobius--the hero who fell for the girl--Amy.
People expected he show no weakness, faults or emotion. He was simply their puppet, and he would except that position without complaint. It was who he was. It was mediocre at best, a reason to pity him at worst, but if that is what it takes to help people, to make them happy and safe--then so be it. He would always look upon the flowers--as they exist at peace and mocked him with that, with something he would never attain himself. They would grant him a temporary ease--as if sharing a bit of their gift.
He was lost. In the black hole that was societal expectations. Though, he didn't have to put on a facade for nature, it was truth and love materialized, and so was another.
Shadow.
The one who never judged, but who also held a mask over his soul. It was his virtue--truth. Perhaps, he would grant Sonic his own-- or they could simply fight their worries away.

Este fic se desarrolla en el universo Light Mobius de Archie Comics (Pre-SGW), por lo que hay personajes de videojuegos, SaTAM y Archie Comics, pero también aparecen personajes de Sonic Underground y Sonic X. No hay personajes de AoSTH, Fleetway o Sonic Boom presentes aquí.
