Summary
The elevator closed behind them soundlessly; they didn’t break.
Time, once an impalpable concept, was now a tangible object held in their hands, kept within the space between their beating chests – all of it, right there with them. Time was theirs to do with what they will, and Dream willed it no more. He willed time to stand still, to let this moment prolong for as long as the universe existed, for as long as feet still planted themselves in the ground.
As long as Winter parts into Spring, as long as flesh turns to dirt after soul escapes it, and as long as humanity manages to bear its mortal coil–
Time was theirs. George was his.
Or, Dream, Karl, Quackity, and Sapnap just lost their long term guitarist in their band, and need to find someone to fill the void. Newcomer George fits the bill in more ways than one.
(FORMERLY 'GOD DAMN IT DNF') Current title from Nobody by Bruno Major.

Summary
"I'm not good at English, but I might know someone, actually."
"Really? Who?" Sapnap perked up.
"Karl. He's Dream's roommate. Super smart. Wears skirts. Adorable."
Sapnap cocked a brow, turning to face his British roommate.
"Why's that detail important?"
George shrugged, lip quivering as he attempted to contain his sly grin.
"Dunno, thought it might... influence your decision, that's all."

Summary
"Well, um... I'm gonna get some sleep. And maybe if the rain lets up and the WiFi comes back, one of us can go home tomorrow." George tried to sound as hopeful as he should be.
"Yeah! Maybe, maybe. Night George," Dream said. George took his cue and patted the cushion with his hand as a sendoff, and retreated into the illuminated bedroom. The door clicking shut was too loud for what it was, like everything had been today. He took the solidarity he had to finally catch his breath, and it felt like he'd been holding his breath since he walked in the door. He heard the sound of running water from the kitchen and let it rush, with his thoughts, out of his ears and onto the dingy carpet under his feet.
The darkness held terrible, terrifying things.
He just prayed, with his back against the splintering wooden door, that the power didn't go out again.
Or, Dream and George have hated each other since college, but when Karl and Sapnap accidentally overlap their scheduling for their Christmas cabin, they're forced to confront their hatred in the dark.
