Archive of Our Own ^beta

This is a journey, of a pair of characters and their evolution from 1.0 beta, into the modern. It may have spoilers, it may have retcons. It may even make no sense at all, but it is a story. Memory is a funny thing, no matter how we try to sharpen and refine it, and the present alters our perceptions of the past.

In 1.0, there were no Hrothgar, there were no male Miqo'te. There was only the female Miqo'te. However, in my headcanon, fantasias alter the essence of what came before, overlaying the events, times, places, with what was made. They were 'always' thus. Hence, at 2.0, the male Miqo'te pretending to be female dressed male, and then found that he was a severely malnourished Hrothgar when such came to be. This story is discussed and written in conjunction with Oldhealer, in alternating chapters.
