“I’ve heard that one before,” Dream snorted. “Besides, if you were a star, I think I’d know who you are. I know every person who was on set last week,” Dream retorted, shutting down the boy’s argument.
The man shrugged. “Maybe I slipped by you.”
“Nobody slips by me.”
“Ooh, you’re feisty. I like that.”
Dream thought he knew every face of every person at these parties, so you could imagine his surprise when his eyes fell on George.

Dream’s eyes widened. That was the last question he was expecting from Karl. “Excuse me?”
“Don’t play dumb with me, Dreamer. I acted the same way when I was stuck on Sap.” Karl pursed his lip, his ivy cap tilting askew as a smile grew across his face. “Can’t believe the Big Bad Dreamer is dizzy over a dame like Chapelle.”
George finally has his big break, and Dream wants to be by his side every step of the way.

A shiny glass filled to the brim with Sauvignon was placed in front of him, and George blinked, staring at the bartender in clear confusion.
“Sir, I didn’t order this,” he said, his annoyance visible even in the dim lighting.
“I’m aware, one of the folks o’er there sent it.” He nodded his head behind the two before leaving to return the glasses.
Sapnap sniffled into George’s chest, eyes still hazy and bones like jelly as the older held him up. “Dr’m got you a drink?”
“Ahaha, he calls me a dream. You hear that?”
or: George would do anything for Sapnap—even flirt his way into getting him a new job.
