  Summary

  For one beautiful moment, standing with eyes closed in the sands of his home, Basri Ket feels blessed. He still feels the aches and tears in his soul that he assumed would be made whole once he returned, but he tells himself it is small in comparison to the gift of being back.

  And then he opens his eyes and sees the craterous ruin of Naktamun.
