Summary
It’s been four weeks since Italy. Gerri is back at Waystar figuring out the Mattson deal and the upcoming election. Logan wants the kids (Kendal, Siobhan and Roman) back in the business before the deal is done. Only one problem; Roman has gone AWOL. Of course our killer Queen finds away to get in contact with him. But Roman insists that he is done with Waystar, but him and Gerri are evidently not done with each other.
Part 1 is very much about Gerri and Roman figuring out their relationship (whatever that may be) after Italy and outside of Waystar. And about Roman healing from the traumas his family (mostly Logan) inflicted on him.
So basically the storyline of season 4 hasn’t happened and won’t (at least not the way the show did it – not sure if any of it will make it in there)

Gerri and Roman awkwardly continue to explorer their new private relationship. Which both trills and confuses Gerri. While Logan again becomes a wall between them as he works behind Gerri’s back to get Roman to return to Waystar.
Part 2 focuses on the emotional connection between Gerri and Roman, and their reluctance to admit that they have one or what it truly entails both to each other and themselves.

Logan has finally broken Roman’s resolve not to come back to Waystar, but Roman is still panicked about is, so he get’s drunk and shows up at Gerri’s for comfort and to confuse her even more.
But his work with his therapist and time away from his family seem to have helped him see everything clearly and thereby actually figure out how to deal with Mattson. However his plan for that ends up making the green eyed monster appear in Gerri as she finds out that Tabitha is still in Roman’s life.
