Summary
Eddie wasn't eavesdropping, he wouldn't do that.
He liked giving Christopher his space, especially when he was with Buck.
Buck was Chris' safe space and if Eddie was being honest, it was also his. Still, he never expected to hear it.
"I love you." Chris sounded sure and confident.
"You do?" Buck's voice was clearly filled with emotion at that confirmation and Eddie wanted to punch anyone who ever made Buck feel like he didn't deserve love.
"Yes. That is why you need to ask Dad out! I'm okay with it. I would love that!"

Summary
“Cap, there is no one here!” Eddie said through the radio as he shared a look with Buck.
Something was off.
“Are you sure? Dispatch said that there was a man with his daughter.” Bobby’s voice came through the radio.
“We are, Cap. I don’t think anyone was living here at all.” They needed to get out of there soon, Eddie could hear the fire easily consuming the structure of the house.
“Get out before it collapses.” Bobby hadn’t even finished his sentence and they were already moving through the burning house.
They were quick even with the heavy equipment and as soon as Eddie got the fresh air he turned around to talk with Buck. He wasn’t there. He didn’t follow him out.
“Buck!” Eddie was already turning on his feet ready to get back inside until he felt hands on his shoulders stopping him from going any further.

Summary
Buck had agreed to it. It was his own fault to be in a crowded bar lost in how many drinks he had already.
It had been a while since the 118 had gone out together to have fun. They had found a babysitter for the kids. (Paid May and her boyfriend to watch them)
Athena had joined and so did Maddie and Karen.
It almost felt like a couples’ night now. Except, Buck, Eddie, and Ravi were the only single people in their group.
It never bothered Buck before. He could easily find company for the night if he wanted, but he was no longer that reckless kid searching for a bit of love in a one-night stand.
No, he had learned to be happy by himself. To love himself. The thing was, he loved more than himself. It took him a while to admit but he was in love with his best friend who now sat at his side in a small booth, their sides pressed together from knee to hip and shoulder.

Summary
Buck had been agitated all through their shift, making it seem longer than it actually was.
Buck was Eddie’s partner and if he wasn’t okay then Eddie wasn’t either, their partnership had always been like that. They were always in sync with each other but this shift was different. Buck was quiet, which in itself was weird, he couldn’t keep his hands still more than usual.
The rest of the team had noticed it too and they all did what they could to help their friend. They were a family.Every time that Buck was touched by one of them, he would relax into the touch as if it was grounding him, bringing him back to earth.
Eddie was reaching out more than usual, letting their fingers linger and touch for longer than necessary when delivering a cup of coffee. They all knew what was going on. Even Chimney was agitated.
The Buckley parents were in town.

Summary
“Please stop trying to hide them from me.” It was the first thing that Eddie said once he opened the door.
There was a chill breeze of the morning and Buck would die saying that it was what caused the shiver that when down his body and not the fact that Eddie looked as smug as possible even with his hair all disheveled.
Buck was more than happy that his body reacted to Eddie so well, so he smirked back taking the box that was hidden behind his back to their front.
“You look like you are plotting something. Chris is still asleep.” Eddie walked back inside the house, not even bothering to look over his shoulder to make sure that Buck was following him.
“I figure. I just wanted to surprise him.” Buck easily took the hint and followed Eddie into the kitchen to set the box on the counter. He opened it up to reveal heart-shaped cookies with strawberry jam in the middle.
“Those look good. Where did you buy them?” Eddie had already a coffee mug in his hand and with the other, he tried to reach for one of the cookies which Buck batted away.

Summary
“Those eyes won’t work on me this time.” It was a lie. Eddie knew it and so did Buck.
Eddie kissed his boyfriend’s cheek gently, as his thumb caressed the other man’s jaw before whispering in his ear.
“I love you and I know that you just want to make Christopher happy, but it’s too much.”
Eddie moved after that to start clearing up the table, it was their turn to do it and wash the dishes. Cap didn’t even blink when Buck offered to help Eddie with it. I was part of who they were even before they had decided to start dating.
It had been scary, but mostly nothing changed except that now he could kiss and touch his best friend as he had always thought.
It didn’t take long for Buck to be in front of him again with those eyes. Christopher had also learned how to do them, they both knew it was the easiest way to make Eddie cave. Thankfully both of them only used it with a good reason, it was mostly why Eddie always said yes.
Buck, though only used it for asking something for Chris. He would never do it for himself.
“What if I told you that I already bought the tickets?”

Summary
“Come home. After your shift. I will make you hot chocolate.” It was a promise.
It was more than that. They had been calling the Diaz’ house home for a while now and not once had Buck said anything against it, he would usually give him that shy smile while lowering his head. Like he couldn’t believe that he was part of their family.
Maybe it was time for Eddie to remind him of it.
“It will be late, I still have like two hours left, and that is if nothing happens and hold us for longer.”
“It won’t be late.” Eddie had been late so many times in his life, but right now everything felt like it was meant to happen at this pace. “Maybe it will be early.”

Summary
“Please…” He had waited too long for this and just needed more.
“You are going to be good for me and let me have some fun.” Eddie had even come closer to tell him that to his ear and he couldn’t stop a moan from coming out of his mouth.
“You like that, don’t you?” He couldn’t see Eddie, but he could hear the teasing tone and imagine the smirk on his lips that were being pressed again against his skin.
Eddie went even slower this time, stopping from time to time to whisper compliments before biting skin that they both knew that would be hidden from prying eyes.
As Eddie got closer and lower to his hips, now kneeling in between Buck’s legs with his hard dick pressing over his jeans, he knew that he was fucked.
“Wait! Ed-” It was too fucking late.
It was so embarrassing.

Summary
An almost one-hour drive got him to the Santa Monica Mountains, it was a quiet place. Not that many people around and most of them he didn’t know so they would only bother with a few glances before continuing their own path.
His grip got tighter around the shoulder strap of his bag as he made his way through the trails, the sun hitting him hard and he probably should have thought this through because there would be sunburns later.
Buck walk. And kept walking.
Losing track of time and with aching muscles, he finally stop at one of the peaks. The sun would set in about two hours by the looks of it and Buck felt compelled to just stay there and watch the sun slowly get down on the horizon, leaving the day completed and getting ready for a new one.

Summary
“Hey…” Eddie smiled widely as he got closer to Buck who looked at him innocently like none of this was his fault. Even if he had been laughing when holding his niece to stop her from making any more mess. He reached up, his hand almost touching Buck’s cheek. “You have something on your face.”
At that, Buck reached for his cheek, only to make a bigger mess of it. To stop him from doing anything else, Eddie quickly grabbed his wrists. There was something almost like an electric current going through him at the touch, and, once he looked up, he could see in Buck’s eyes that he wasn’t the only one feeling it.
It wasn’t the first time that Eddie felt something like this when touching Buck; sometimes it was so strong that it overpowered him and made his heart race so fast it felt like it was jumping out of his chest.
“Guys, the bathroom is clear if you want to use it to clean up. Oh!” Chimney’s voice resounded through the living room, and a small huff came out next — probably Maddie hitting his back with the sudden stop.

Summary
Buck hadn’t been upset. Not really.
Why would he?
He won the poker game against Captain Mehta and Chief Williams.
He was definitely happy about that.
Buck was also more than happy when he made that amazing steak for him, Eddie, and Chris. It had tasted heavenly.
So he was happy.
Very happy, the happiest he has been in a while and that thought kind of took him by surprise. Because he hadn’t noticed until now how at ease he was and how happy he seemed to be lately.
It was effortless.
And more and more Buck had been catching Eddie looking at him in a way he had never noticed before. So soft and gentle, almost as if Eddie loved him.
They did love each other, they were best friends and it was impossible not to have love in a relationship like that.
But Buck was greedy and he wanted more than just friendly love.

Summary
Buck had many partners but no one like Eddie.
It felt like a cliché but it was the truth.
Buck had always been a people pleaser and he loved giving his partner all the pleasure, it turned him on as well. All his partners had seemed eager about it so he was proud of himself for always leaving them satisfied.
Things with Eddie were different.
Yeah, Buck still did everything in his power to make Eddie get all the pleasure he could give but he enjoyed it even more. He enjoyed it when he worked his mouth on Eddie’s skin and the other man tried to keep his voice down and under control.

Summary
Buck didn’t know why, but the words just came out of his mouth as he sat on one of the benches in the locker room while tying the shoelaces of his sneakers. Eddie stood next to the locker room, already fully changed into his civil clothes and finishing putting his watch on.
“I’m doing a tattoo tomorrow.” Buck was pretty sure he just mumbled the words, maybe his best friend wouldn’t even understand it. “I was thinking that maybe you wanna come?”
He quickly got up and closed the metal door before picking his things up, not giving much space for Eddie to answer.
“Forget it. You are probably busy with Chris.” Buck tightened the grip on the shoulder strap of his bag. He had been anxious all week. He had this appointment for weeks and Eddie probably hadn’t even noticed the date.
“Chris is actually going to a friend’s house after school tomorrow.” Eddie’s voice stopped Buck in his tracks, just at the door. “I will go with you.”

Summary
“We are on our way! We will get you out.” Buck was faster than Bobby and he was already getting on his feet. Natalia just stared at him.
“No.” It was quiet but sure. “You can’t, if you move anything, everything will fall apart and you can hurt more people than me.”
“Eddie, I’m not going to leave you behind!” Buck’s voice came out angry, he couldn’t believe that Eddie was asking him that.
“You have to. I’ll be fine.” Eddie was already sounding like he was drawing out his voice, using all his strength.
“You will bleed out. What about Christopher?” Buck said in between teeth, the radio in his hand complaining about the strength that it was being used on it.
“Chris will be taken care of. He will be in good hands. Because he will be with you.” It was the first time they talked about this since Eddie was shot and the last thing Buck wanted was to go home and tell Christopher that this time he couldn’t save his father. That he had failed.

Summary
Buck was fine, he was more than perfect. He had walked into his shift feeling perfectly healthy and strong.
He hadn’t.
He had felt like shit and had collapsed onto the couch right away as the rest of the team stared at him, either because he could barely open his eyes or because of his runny and puffy nose.
“Buck?” The voice sounded faded as he rested his head against the back of the couch and kept his eyes closed. He tried to open his eyes but it was too damn bright.

Summary
"Hey, Eds." Buck's voice was so gentle, and for a moment he could notice that there was a bit of regret on the other's face when he opened his eyes and straightened himself better on his seat, not leaning as much into Buck's side.
"Yeah?" It was the only thing that he was able to say while staring at those blue eyes in which he got lost so easily. On his behalf, he had been almost asleep before so no coherent thought could come to his mind.
"Do you like Hershey's kisses?" It was obvious that Buck was trying to hide a smile but failing miserably.
