Summary
This is an AU fiction that tells a different story of when Peter first meets Matthew Keller. It deviates from canon, but the outcome is the same. Neal and Keller still find themselves locked in a battle of one upmanship. Peter comes to view their competition as good versus evil, at least he hopes his CI now represents the tenants of everything that is just and right in a world threatened by criminals like Keller.
