Supergiant made one of the most unsatisfying endings for one of my favorite games, so this is a well deserved rewrite of the entire story of Hades II with a lot of headcanon, confusion, and general badassery (hopefully) from the princess of the dead, Goddess of Time.

Something is wrong in Peppa’s world. The sun never sets, the laughter never stops, and when it does… it never comes back quite right. Every time Peppa dies, she wakes again to the same bright morning, the same smiling faces — only now, their smiles stretch a little too far. The ground bleeds where puddles once shimmered.
No one else remembers the loops. Not at first. But then the Narrator starts to notice. He wants to help her. He wants to understand. And when he finally does, it’s already too late.
Thirty-nine loops. Thirty-nine chances to stop the infection.
Only two ways out: destroy the virus, or let it take her.
