Summary
The ache of its absence had long since given him the courage to at least try to be nice to the customers; he needed the Light Force to truly be rid of his nature as a Minish, but, until then, Vaati still needed gratitude from Hylians like food. It was sweet in this bakery, particularly appetizing compared to other places.
