Summary
For years, Kentaro Suzuki's only accomplishment was making himself into an almost perfect lookalike of his video game hero, Trevor Spacey. He knew everything about the world of Metal Slug: the bosses, the levels, and the "true ending" that required saving a key enemy officer. He never expected to live it.
After being mysteriously transported into the game, Kentaro's game knowledge is his only weapon. But his reality quickly diverges from the script when he's captured by the very officer he's supposed to save, Abigail, who sees him as nothing more than an imposter of a missing soldier. With the timeline already fracturing and a war more brutal than any game, Kentaro must figure out how to survive when his "player's guide" is already wrong.
