Abstract
The matter of incestuous attraction between the ecto-genetically related Rose Lalonde and Roxy Lalonde has been of great interest in recent years, but many factors lying beneath the issue has yet to receive enough attention from researchers. As, such, a study was conducted two weeks ago to provide an empirical foundation with which further knowledge on the subject may be developed. While the study was quite transformative to the Journal of Rose Lalonde Studies, many gaps in the literature remain. As such, this followup study has been conducted in hopes of further exploring the sexual compatibility between the Lalondes. Through observational participation, it was confirmed that Rose Lalonde and Roxy Lalonde are indeed sexually compatible.

Summary
[NON-FICTION FANWORK] Dungeon Meshi is full of vivid and complex world-building. When you take all the information in the manga as a whole, there are clear and consistent patterns in what real world cultures the author was inspired by, and how she arranges them on the Dungeon Meshi world map.
In this essay, I will catalog and explain every real world cultural reference I was able to identify in the manga, including character and location names, historical and mythological references, clothing, and of course food!
WARNING: This essay is full of spoilers for the entire Dungeon Meshi manga, all the extra materials, and the anime. Disturbing and violent moments that happen in the series are described, discussed and analyzed. The essay also discusses real-life world history and mythology, which contains sensitive subjects like war, death, slavery, abortion, child killing, sexual assault, incest, and bestiality. These topics are mentioned in an academic context, and not described. Please proceed with caution if this concerns you.

As a religion major, I’m academically trained to recognize religious allegories in modern media. This isn’t a very good essay—I wrote it in a Vraylar induced haze in about an hour. Nevertheless, I thought I’d post it here. I’ll update with my grade once I get it.

Good Omens, Greater Results: The Intertextual Relationship Between Fanon and Canon in Adaptation by lamphouse

Summary
Abstract: This paper examines how the history of queer shipping among fans of the novel Good Omens, and the authority derived thereof, is under negotiation in light of the new television adaptation. Drawing on previous research on the distinctions and overlap between academic and fan analysis (Busse, Polasek, Aragay and López) and broader intertextuality (Martin, Kristeva, Barthes), it shows how online interactions within the Good Omens fandom as well as between fans and Neil Gaiman show how fans use intertextual and fannish analysis to challenge the fan/creator boundary, and how that is, in turn, challenged by the upcoming series. This paper argues for a reconsideration of the current distinctions made between the analytical practices of fans versus academics, and how fans take authority over their texts by queer representation.
