This fic is compliant with Netflix' Marvel series. Regard the time gap from Part I and Part II to be the events taken place in The Defenders. Jessica’s determination to find a missing young woman connected to the gifted community leads her into a swamp of political ambitions, dark money, power-enhancing street drugs, and accelerating violence driven by religious fanatics riding a tide of hatred. The one thing the bewildering mix of players agrees on is that the famously volatile, antisocial PI is perfect to take the fall for it all.
But while Jessica Jones is easy to blame, she’s hard to destroy. Especially if she lets herself trust again.
JJ 2.5 occurs shortly after Season Two, and begins just before the start of the second season of *Luke Cage*.

Summary
It takes place a week or so after the events from the first season. Please disregard the last scene in which Malcolm and Jessica are seen at her office taking messages in relation with her P.I. work. In this fic she initially takes a break from all that. Edit: she'll be back at it in later chapters.
Please remember that this is a Jessica Jones fic. It will have mentions of alcohol abuse, panic-attacks, mental/physical abuse (due to Killgrave & Dorothy) and may reflect back on certain events happened in Jessica's and/or Trish' past. Also, a lot of expletives (but limited to three kinds).
